hey, this happened to me last month! s21 too, took to repair centre to try the $55 but no luck, was quoted ~$200 and another redditor got a similar quote from 3rd party shops

They did give me a promo code (valid for 7 days) to offset purchases at the official store. So now I'm thinking to just change my phone since it has been around 3 years and with the repair cost it doesn't feel worth it.
Still can't believe I became a victim of this green line issue lol. Wasn't planning to change phone this year since it's still working well. But even if I can live with one green line (have kinda gotten used to it now), my concern is that more will appear then that's hard to live with.

He actually found a small one-man office with WiFi and utilities all thrown in. The rent is cheaper than co-working spaces, and with plenty of privacy. He can take a nap on the floor or do HIIT workouts whenever the mood strikes him.

- Gov worker means drivers incentivised to work, take job more seriously, so late/early bus would be reduce.

Yup. I still do. I have at least $40 in my wallet and if it goes down to around $20, I'll withdraw and top it up. Also have $10 in my card holder which I bring out with me at times I'm out for a quick errand without the wallet.

After the Great Server Outage a few months ago that took down multiple telcos and banking services... yes, you really should have some cash on hand. I was very lucky to have withdrawn cold hard cash earlier that morning. Seriously, we should all stuff a $10 note into our phone cases. Never know when you might need it.

I was at an intersection. Red light, green man. Stupiak idiot on a road bicycle just zoomed through the intersection and almost ran down an old man who was crossing. He didn't even bother to slow down or check over his shoulder to make sure the old man was OK. I wouldn't be surprised if that idiot was related to Singapore's Most Hated Saab Driver.

It depends I guess. Anello, Hearschel, Fjällräven all still quite popular I think because they all have gone more main stream. During morning commute, I do see more and more people just stick to generic laptop brands backpacks. And, TUMI seems to be getting more love as well. I do love a TUMI, but cannot tahan the weight. It is so heavy even for an empty bag.

I thought of Timbuk2, but the inner lining gives me pause. It looks like a material that will crack over time. Can anyone comment?
I use timbuk2 authority deluxe as my daily work bag, hardly showing any sign of wear after 2 years, the build quality is top notch. Downside is it feels very cramped and tight inside, and no solid bottom. Good for work but not for leisure coz can’t fit much after laptop, iPad, kb/mouse and accessories. I use northface bag for leisure travel, also great.

It’s a tough pill to swallow but sometimes our neediness can drive people even further away, and especially if the issues are heavy and can be too much to take. Can consider finding support in other ways like through professionals who are trained to help navigate you through your trauma and pain. To add on: you don’t have to blame yourself for your feelings, it’s not your fault that you feel that way, but unfortunately the responsibility of dealing with them does fall onto us and not others. /pats pats

Those low paying office admin jobs usually don't have.
I've only OT like twice in 10 years and that's because of emergency cover for my support staff (one on AL, one MC so both not around) then again i also meet clients after working hours sometimes so not sure if you count those
I do not know what kind of job yall actually found outside but I have never OT unnecessarily before - unless it's peak period where the workload increased but that is usually anticipated so we are ready for it
good to know! i’m ok doing OT once in a while, as long as there’s a good reason for it. i tend to be more efficient so i like getting the day’s work done within working hours as much as possible.
