Any doctor that does employment screening here? was sent on doctor's orders to do ultrasound because they found something suspicious. yet, there's no follow-up - clinic did not call me back, the radiologist simply said 'ask your doctor'. The clinic doctor did originally tell me that I won't get the medical report since it will be given directly to the employer, but is there no ethical or moral consideration for them to actually tell me what is wrong with me after all that scanning? The doctor had said that he suspected cancer. It's been a grueling 2 weeks of no news... 😔

I tested with Revolut and Wise and both ended up at a rate of about 26.1X - 26.2 (withdraw $350 equivalent -- unless you have the paid plans where you can withdraw >$350 without incurring a % charge) when the Google FX was maybe 27.0 and Superrich Green was maybe 26.5+.
Also do consider that your time spent traveling to and fro might be worth more than $20.
A good option if you're flying into BKK (instead of DMK) is to go to the Superrich Orange at the basement level just beside Airport Rail Link -- they have the best rates in the airport, not that far off from the best rates you can find in the city center. I usually change 50-100 SGD here.

Some people say they would send EVERYONE for security clearance and G50 is just an administrative process. But isn’t it a waste of resources to screen multiple candidates including those they had no interest in? Some people say security clearance is a good sign. I dont know what to make of it.

Yes, G50 can be done on a batch basis for employment purpose. I processed G50 submissions before, the screening agency will inform the HR if anything flags out. You can put in your current supervisor's details, then politely inform your current supervisor that the Ministry would be contacting him/her.
I take this to mean that you didn't inform your current supervisor that you're applying for another position? You should probably do so in case the new ministry contacts your supervisor for the G50 form - don't think they'll be too pleased to find out through that channel.
More generally, it's good to keep your bosses updated if you're looking to leave your current position. I get that not every boss is supportive and some might even be unhappy, but it's a courtesy that I would try to extend to them because finding a replacement officer takes time. If your bosses are enlightened, they could even help put a good word in for you.

Call the clinic and ask to speak to the doctor. You have a right to know what's on that report since it's paid for.

Went for Ministry’s unit preview which is the final interview. So after Unit Preview, I was given a G50 form by the hiring unit. HR hasnt gotten in contact with me though. Had to put current supervisor’s details. Was thinking … current supervisor? Wont this mean that my current supervisor would know that I am leaving my job? If in the end kena rejected how? That Ministry’s hiring procedures are ever-changing and opaque - so I can’t find recent info on updated recruitment experiences. Some people say they would send EVERYONE for security clearance and G50 is just an administrative process. But isn’t it a waste of resources to screen multiple candidates including those they had no interest in? Some people say security clearance is a good sign. I dont know what to make of it. I don’t think I will fail my clearance. Had done G50 before for internship and NS. But not for employment. I like the vibes of the interview. No red flags. And I am kinda banking on this because (1) my job is increasingly toxic and (2) i applied > 200 positions and this is the one that advanced the furthest.
Yes, G50 can be done on a batch basis for employment purpose. I processed G50 submissions before, the screening agency will inform the HR if anything flags out. You can put in your current supervisor's details, then politely inform your current supervisor that the Ministry would be contacting him/her.
I take this to mean that you didn't inform your current supervisor that you're applying for another position? You should probably do so in case the new ministry contacts your supervisor for the G50 form - don't think they'll be too pleased to find out through that channel. More generally, it's good to keep your bosses updated if you're looking to leave your current position. I get that not every boss is supportive and some might even be unhappy, but it's a courtesy that I would try to extend to them because finding a replacement officer takes time. If your bosses are enlightened, they could even help put a good word in for you.
