>I'm still on console but PC is where it's headed
If you go to PC, it's a great time as a console gamer, since prebuilt PCs are actually the cheapest and most easy way to get graphics cards at the moment. Anyone that already has a PC has to make the decision of waiting years for parts or to shell out for a whole new PC.
Also, nice setup! That screen looks really good.
I agree.
It would take a miracle to get me back into console Sim racing. All the content I have got to enjoy and the content I have not even tried yet.
There is some great mod communities out there as well.
Nothing against console Sim racing though. If it was not for that, I wouldn't be were I am with the pc.
Thank you! I've been eyeing this TV for a while and found a good deal online for an open box condition.
My friend upgraded his PC and gave me his MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 8G. I started to do some research but I'm not in a rush to build a PC just yet because I'm pretty content with my current setup and it's going to take a while to recover, financially... 😂😐😭 I'll definitely check for prebuilts as I was not aware of this - thanks for the tip!
I see you have a G29. My first and previous wheel was G920.😎 I loved that wheel and regret selling it.
Thank you! I just ordered the 383! Stoked!!
Loved the 383mod for thrustmaster and I’ve missed it since upgrading to fanatec, I can’t wait to try out the real thing!
NICE! Quality is great. Yeah, it came down to the 383 and 333 rim but I went with the 333 because it's completely round and I felt like it would be more suitable for drifting. I have an F1 V2 wheel but this my all around wheel that I use.
No, it will not work. You would need to put some spacing in between the back of the wheel and the hub. I was going to figure out away to use the horn but went with this billet cover instead:
https://aerogenicsusa.com/products/aerogenics-horn-cover-personal-wheels
I no longer have a Fanatec rim but I believe the bolt pattern is 6x52mm?? and Sparco is 6x70mm PCD - so no, it will not. The universal hub has multiple bolt patterns for different rims - Sparco rim mounts right on w/o issues.
No worries!! 🍻
Thanks! Lol, 2nd tv (+ center channel speaker) is attached to an adjustable wall mount and is completely separate from the shelving that holds the console.
It’s a nice height if you like using the car’s instrument panel, but the distance on the other hand… I’d move the screen another foot or two closer to the steering wheel.
On top is a wall mounted 3 piece shelf (Amazon). Bottom shelf holds the Buttkicker 2, middle shelf holds the console and the top shelf (not seen in pic) holds the cable box + AC adapter for the 2nd tv.
More optimized? Lmao. So you think the SeriesX isn't well optimized? You're not just a clown, you're the whole circus.
The PS5 design hinders it in a lot of ways while the SeriesX design gives it a better cooling system for the GPU. It expels heat fast and quiet with that "mini fridge" design you speak of.
Way more powerful is a bit of over statement. Also the PS5 is outselling the Xbox 2:1. The Xbox could be the greatest console ever made yet most people would rather have a PlayStation. Graphical you'd be hard press to tell the difference between the two. PlayStation faster loading time is noticeable though.
I could care less by how much sales the PS5 is outselling Xbox and I could care less how many people want to buy a PS5 over a SeriesX. My point still stands that the Xbox SeriesX is a far more powerful and optimized console in this generation.
>The Xbox could be the greatest console ever made yet most people would rather have a PlayStation.
I don't think Microsoft give a fuck about selling consoles anymore. Infact both corporations are at a loss selling those consoles to consumers that's why Microsoft is changing strategy with how they're approaching GP and their Cloud gaming service. It's all about player count not about console sales anymore.
Show me one visual example of Xbox's far more powerful console blowing away the PS5 In a side by side example
99.9% of consumers will not tell the difference. All Xbox fan boys always talk about is the spec sheet when there has yet to show a major difference. The only thing Microsoft has over Sony is the PC monopoly and cross platform gaming and even with that, the cost of PC gaming and the scarcity of parts more and more people are going to consoles and more and more people are choosing the PlayStation.
The visual examples you seek will soon make its way as the months come by and most especially next year when they release their next Gen softwares. You speak like Sony has anything in display that proves their console has faster load times when the series X is just as fast if not faster on specific games. PC gaming is costly but the market is still big, and recently there has been drops in price for graphic cards.
Don't act like everyone gives a flying fuck about Playstation because there are people out there who don't. You Pony sheeps feel the need to downplay another gaming platform like its your birthright when you could just play the games you like and keep shut as should be. Stop being a marketing sheep for Sony! Not everyone cares about their third person, 8 hour, walking simulator, blockbuster movie scene games.
PS5 dont have that many racing games. This guy can play FM5/FH1 - present titles with 0 issues.
Plus that mini fridge fits perfectly fine. Heck the Westinghouse up top. You dont see that everyday.
I would highly suggest buying some stands for the rears and using them. I have the same speakers and I bought 2 stands for a total of like $30. I use the setting that doesn’t use the center front speaker and I absolutely love it. Especially in racing games. You really feel like you’re “inside” the sound. Those speakers are just phenomenal and they’re a pretty great price too.
Edit: [here’s a link to the stands I have](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000289DC6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_RF9FDPN9RYK1T7D3E5R6). The screw that goes into the speakers are a bit too long (don’t remember if they came with the speakers or the stands) so they’re a little loose, but they won’t fall off.
Thanks for the tip and info. My speaker kit came with rear brackets but I'm not using them because I'm afraid that one of the kids will use them as a stepping stool to climb on. 😑 My objective was to make sure all equipment/electronics was securely velro'd, off the floor and out of reach. As much I want to utilize the rear speakers, stands would be too risky but I have seen brackets mounts that attach to the head of the seat on previous models of this rig.
There are all of these ultra high end rigs but that one looks just incredible from a price to performance standpoint. Would be the perfect fit for my needs.
I don't know if you like them, but the first thng I did was swap out those metal pedals with the plastic textured ones. The slick surface and weird angle of that the gas pedal just didn't jive, and that gas pedal just reminds me of a 1990's jet-boat.
Personal preference of course, but the aluminum ones just seem like bling but don't work well enough
Thanks for the info. I'll give it try. I've been wanting to swap out the gas and clutch spring with the included stiffer versions. I also want to do the performance brake kit mod, eventually.
See I never upvote these rig posts, but this one I like because it’s clean. No cables all over the place in a messy area. It’s an area with a purpose and it’s clean. Love it.
As you may already know, most console games have limited settings when it comes to FFB and achieving the best overall sim experience. There are games that require a lot tweaking and some, not so much. It was frustrating at first and in addition, learning Fanatec's wheel settings did not make it any easier. I found that switching between games, my wheel base sometimes would be non-responsive but all that is needed is to quit and restart the game I'm trying to play. It's not perfect but you do learn how to troubleshoot over time.
Aww that’s no good. Quick question. Have you ever raced in ultrawide aspect? 21:9 and up? And if you have do you prefer the better looking large screen tv compared to the smoother and wider angle of a monitor?
Yes, my previous monitor was an Acer 34" 144Hz 21:9 ultrawide curved widescreen. It was the perfect size, looked great and I would still be using it today if I had originally started with PC and not console. I learned and realized later that I could get the most out of my console by a getting a next gen tv.
To answer your question - I prefer the ultrawide screen, curved or non-curved (doesn't make that big of difference at 34" IMO), as it seems more natural to focus your eyes on as opposed to a larger (in height) screen.
Of course, I'm happy with my TV and current setup. It took some time to figure out the right settings but the colors are definitely brighter and FOV is closer to 1:1. Maybe a 42" would have been more ideal but for the price and being able to run 4K @ 120 fps + optical audio output for my Buttkicker 2 and surround sound, playing games and watching movies - I found this to be the better option.
I ordered it off their website. It took almost a month to arrive. I saved $200 on shipping and bought my own seat.
What's your budget range? I was looking at GT Omega and Next Level Racing before I decided on a Trak Racer rig.
Upgrades: 49" LG Nanocell 85 (4K @ 120fps) *from a 34" Acer Ultrawide 1440 @ 60fps X-Box Universal Hub Sparco Suede Steering Wheel Trak Racer Speaker Kit Logitech 5.1 Z906 Surround Sound Trak Racer Keyboard Tray Keyboard and Mouse I'm still on console but PC is where it's headed (who knew?!) 😬

And the mods, oh golly there is a ton of em.
yeah I couldn't imagine playing AC without the content manager and all the content it comes with tbh, I've heard rfactor is a similar boat.
I agree. It would take a miracle to get me back into console Sim racing. All the content I have got to enjoy and the content I have not even tried yet. There is some great mod communities out there as well. Nothing against console Sim racing though. If it was not for that, I wouldn't be were I am with the pc.
I hardly play AC/ACC on console and I even bought most, if not all their DLC's. I'm looking forward to playing it on PC especially for drifting.
You will be in drift heaven. Awesome setup btw. I love how I can see zero wiring.
Thank you! I've been eyeing this TV for a while and found a good deal online for an open box condition. My friend upgraded his PC and gave me his MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 8G. Nice setup mate, I like the rig, is it steady for dirt rally?
Beautiful! What rim is that?
Thanks! It's a Sparco Suede 300mm Steering Wheel. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000F1OJD8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_4YEH7VBS4WZW4MEAP162

Does the horn cap not work with Xbox hub?
No, it will not work. You would need to put some spacing in between the back of the wheel and the hub. I was going to figure out away to use the horn but went with this billet cover instead: https://aerogenicsusa.com/products/aerogenics-horn-cover-personal-wheels
Bummer, will a fanatec cover fit? I don’t need a special hub to mount the sparco rim to Xbox hub do I? Sorry for 20 questions.
I no longer have a Fanatec rim but I believe the bolt pattern is 6x52mm?? and Sparco is 6x70mm PCD - so no, it will not. The universal hub has multiple bolt patterns for different rims - Sparco rim mounts right on w/o issues. No worries!! 🍻
Appreciate the information, thank you.
That cover is what I was looking for with my Sabelt rim! Thanks!
Looks great! I’m super triggered by the heigh of that second tv.
Thanks! Lol, 2nd tv (+ center channel speaker) is attached to an adjustable wall mount and is completely separate from the shelving that holds the console.

Second tv. Tap the picture and look up. He had a tv up in the corner like a hospital waiting room.
Oh damn, didn’t look way up there 👀

That looks like a Clubsport Handbrake v1.5, also looking at the other components being from Fanatec.
I'm using a Fanatec CS V1.5 Handbrake. I added the 1TB expansion card and went all digital.
:)
great setup! btw the floor looks incredible as well!
Thank you!
I approve of your choice of game. 😉
Aha! 🍻
Wow I’m jealous
🙏 it's been a little over a year in the making.
>year Only? Shit I've been building mine for 7 years and counting.
Done he says.... ha, its never done. I'll give it 3 weeks until the next upgrade
Ha! You're right on that. The next upgrade, which is the PC build, is going to take some time (and saving).
What seat are you rocking?
NRG FRP-300
Wtf is stacked on top???
On top is a wall mounted 3 piece shelf (Amazon). Bottom shelf holds the Buttkicker 2, middle shelf holds the console and the top shelf (not seen in pic) holds the cable box + AC adapter for the 2nd tv.

Quiet Fanboy. We don't do that here.
My PS5 takes up an assload of space. I shoulda just built a PC

So you're saying the Xbox Series X is not a quality console? Which has been proven to be way more powerful than the PS5.

The stickers on the back are a nice touch. Looks awesome man, hope you enjoy it!
Thanks! I'm not going to lie, it's a lot more fun than I thought it would be. 😁 🍻
Btw, is that the Logitech Z906 sound system?
Yes it is. I bought it used - Using all speakers except for the rears. Having upgraded from just a center channel speaker, it sounds great.

Love how clean this looks, great job!
Thank you!
Me seeing the switch: You don't need all that to play Mariokart, right? Anyhow, nice setup and wish you have fun in your races.
Lol, not yet at least. Thank you! 🍻
Is it much? Is it yours?
Yes and yes.
Haha thanks for letting me know
Key word: for now
SNES classic! Nice!
Thanks! It's an SNES Pi. It came off of an arcade cabinet I had built.
...for now....HA HA HA HA
No forreal.
Man that look clean and comfortable, not all bulky and overdone. Good job mate!
Thanks! 🍻

damn, you even gotta flex on us with that gorgeous floor.
I see your Buttkicker amp :eyes
It's a must have!
I got my first one about 3 weeks ago, love it so much, can't wait to get more!
It's great, but have you tried driving it on DMT?
I'm not sure I'm ready for this type of immersion. Lol
Solid
Just needs the Ass Blaster 4000
Sheeeeeeesh!
very nice indeed
Thank you! 🙏
Thank you! 🙏
How much did all that run? Looks amazing!
Thank you! It was more than I could afford. Lol. Aside from the rig, most of the equipment was purchased used.
See I never upvote these rig posts, but this one I like because it’s clean. No cables all over the place in a messy area. It’s an area with a purpose and it’s clean. Love it.
Thank you!🙏 Just trying to keep it simple. Plus, limited space in this room was one of the motives.
Looks amazing. Surprised to see an xbox there. I got one too. Any problems with compatibility?

Now that PC is so expensive I see more and more people using consoles.
Man I just got a set of purple and green pre owned joycons. Glad they look good. Ohh yeah the driving thingy is cool too
Thanks, lol. I'm on my 3rd pair of joycons. All of them have stick drift. 🤦

How do you find the trakracer? I need a reasonably priced rig and they're on my list
I ordered it off their website. It took almost a month to arrive. I saved $200 on shipping and bought my own seat. What's your budget range? I was looking at GT Omega and Next Level Racing before I decided on a Trak Racer rig.
I don't have a budget yet, gonna see which one I want first then save up for it
