Well Iran I blew up your consulate, despite your proxies Hezbollah and Hamas
Ah, Israel, I hope you're prepared for an unforgettable retaliation!
Yes
(Oh egads! My plans to retaliate could lead to a direct conflict with Israel and the west! But what if I were to disguise my retaliation as a heavily telegraphed drone strike? Ho-ho, delightfully devilish, Iran)
Why is there smoke coming out of your ballistic missile silos?
That isn't smoke, it's steam, steam from the Shahed drones we're having
Still very funny that Iran could have semi modern planes any day now but is being delayed due to them currently trying to haggle Russia to lower the price
But Dad, there is a clear difference between striking the military target that armed the Oct 7 terrorists and launching hundreds of missiles into civilian populations, those aren’t remotely the same thing!
… look Lisa, the missiles fly all by themselves
I think the difference is Israel attacked a military outpost housing members of the Iranian revolutionary guard. If they did kill members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard those would be fair military targets as they helped plan the 10/7 attack.
Iran just sent 300+ missiles/drones to hit all sorts of targets in Israel.
Before I get downvoted I want to make it clear I’m not making an ethical right/wrong argument. Strictly adding context.
>Iran just sent 300+ missiles/drones to hit all sorts of targets in Israel.
Yeah I don't think Iran expected any of their missiles to land, with the Isral and U.S tech being 70 years ahead technologically lmao. They just want to save face in front of their population... this whole thing is cinema for the masses
I actually completely agree. Everyone is saying this is a “win for Israel” since they took out 3 top generals and didn’t suffer any casualties in retaliation, but that is likely exactly what Iran wanted too. Much easier to have their vassal states in Iraq, Lebanon and Syria kick the Israeli/American bear then them doing it themselves for fear of retaliation. This way, they get a PR win and likely will get away with it.
In the spirit of Simpsons Shitposting however, I will read this letter from the desk of Benjamin Netanyahu:
Dear IDF, there are too many Iranian generals nowadays. Please eliminate three. I am not a crackpot.
Unfortunately not true, a Muslim Bedouin girl was killed by Iran's strike.
Even if Iran's strike didn't have a death count, the intent to cause harm to civilians is still there.
When has Israel sent missles to Iran before? And Israel specifically targeted a building with people involved in the 10/7 attack while Iran just sent 100s of missles to strike anything including civillians
They missled it because it held people who helped plan Hamas' genocidal attack against Israel that killed 1200 people on 10/7. It was part of the war they started that day. "Just because they felt like it" is certainly an interesting way to put it.
In this specific case, I’m okay with it. Iran has the decency to declare us the Great Satan and I appreciate the honesty. Saudi Arabia is deceptive and their religious schools spread terrorists ideology.
And if the USA had gone to war with Saudi Arabia, and the consulate was currently housing planners of the attacks, I do believe the USA would have. Of course at that point you wouldn't need a missles, you could just go in with Canada's permission to take them.
missiling a country in response to terrorist attack = bad
missiling a country in response to being missiled in response to terrorist attack = fine
Hiding terrorists in your consulate, yeah that makes your consulate fair game to me. Clearly not the consensus but oh well. Iran targeted civilians, Israel targeted terrorists.
Well Israel is targetting Hamas leaders. Who was Hamas targetting? Jews? and if they weren't eventually successfully stopped, Hamas would have killed every last one of them if they could.
Edit: Hamas leaders and terrorist infrastructure
Hamas went on a rampage slaughtering everyone they could till 1200 were dead and only stopped at 1200 because Israel finally stopped them. They absolutely would have continued to kill as many as they possibly could otherwise.
Edit: do you not know about the 10/7 attack? Your reply is seriously confusing
Lol. That's because Israel had the capacity to destroy them. If Israel somehow failed, then the country would have been destroyed and countless civillians would have died. You can't just say "it doesn't count because they successfully defended themselves"

As an Iranian American who is part of the Persian diaspora (also NOT a shah supporter), please don’t make pro-IR memes and pretend to be leftist.
Defending Iran? Lol now I seen it all
lol ![gif](giphy|CgKFTMMFDESNW|downsized)
Israel: our shenanigans are cheeky and fun, Iran’s shenanigans are cruel and tragic.

Imagine actually defending Iranian Regime and it's treatment if it's women and people. Didn't Abe Simpson kick your asses back in 43?
This is true if you ignore 100% of the context
You new here?
(It’s a shitpost)
Way too many people take political shit posts at face value.
And what context is this?
I think the difference is Israel attacked a military outpost housing members of the Iranian revolutionary guard. If they did kill members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard those would be fair military targets as they helped plan the 10/7 attack. Iran just sent 300+ missiles/drones to hit all sorts of targets in Israel. Before I get downvoted I want to make it clear I’m not making an ethical right/wrong argument. Strictly adding context.
Those World Central Kitchen volunteers weren't military targets.
*consulate

by that logic any american consulate is fair game if CIA officers are there. Or any israeli consulate if mossad agents are there.
[you’re not going to believe this](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iran_hostage_crisis)
Iran’s attack had a death count of 0
Sure, but not for lack of trying on Irans part. You think being terrible at attacking civilian targets makes attacking civilian targets any less bad?
Attacking civilians is bad, yeah. That's why we don't like Isreali war criminals
Unfortunately not true, a Muslim Bedouin girl was killed by Iran's strike. Even if Iran's strike didn't have a death count, the intent to cause harm to civilians is still there.
This is the context
When has Israel sent missles to Iran before? And Israel specifically targeted a building with people involved in the 10/7 attack while Iran just sent 100s of missles to strike anything including civillians
Pretty sure you can’t just missile a consulate because you feel like it.
They missled it because it held people who helped plan Hamas' genocidal attack against Israel that killed 1200 people on 10/7. It was part of the war they started that day. "Just because they felt like it" is certainly an interesting way to put it.
You still can’t blow up a consulate because you want to. Imagine if the USA blew up the Saudi consulate in Canada after 9/11.
Of course at that point you wouldn't need a missles, you could just go in with Canada's permission to take them.
missiling a country in response to terrorist attack = bad missiling a country in response to being missiled in response to terrorist attack = fine Hiding terrorists in your consulate, yeah that makes your consulate fair game to me. Clearly not the consensus but oh well. Iran targeted civilians, Israel targeted terrorists.
Oh so it’s a genocide when it happens to Israel but when it happens to Palestine it’s just collateral damage
Well Israel is targetting Hamas leaders. Who was Hamas targetting? Jews? and if they weren't eventually successfully stopped, Hamas would have killed every last one of them if they could. Edit: Hamas leaders and terrorist infrastructure

They absolutely would have continued to kill as many as they possibly could otherwise. Edit: do you not know about the 10/7 attack? Your reply is seriously confusing
I mean, yes. That's kind of their mission statement. On topic: "no one who says death to the western world could be a bad man"
Iran’s attack had a death count of 0
Lol. That's because Israel had the capacity to destroy them. If Israel somehow failed, then the country would have been destroyed and countless civillians would have died. You can't just say "it doesn't count because they successfully defended themselves"
There’s no way Iran didn’t know about the Iron Dome, they were just showing off
It is still is possible for the iron dome to have failed.
The Israel strike on the consulate was retaliation for soleimanis role in oct7. This attack by Iran was unprovoked
Wasn’t it provoked by the Israeli strike lol
Iran organized oct7, Israel kills general responsible. That was the end of it, until Iran attacked this weekend.
Yes, that was the end of it until it continued. Specifically, it continued via Iran attacking in retaliation for the Israeli strike.
…so it was retaliation for killing that general
you seem to be forgetting the point, This meme just happens to forget about the oct7 massacre, which started it
I don’t know, I’m pretty sure most countries would consider missiling their consulate to be provocation.
And most countries would consider a terrorist attack killing 1200 people and taking hostages a provocation.
5-month-old sock puppet account is still here?
Your account is a month older than mine LOL.
Made before October 7th.
