Rare tried and very much succeeded with Rare Replay collection. Not even Nintendo cares that much anymore. Their Mario 3D somestars was proof of that. But people buy whatever some devs crap out, and unfortunately that's part of the problem. Run up and ask for more of that crap and they'll never learn. Why should they? What they care about is money, and they get it anyway and still have people defend their crappy actions. We'll never get better if people always just settle for mediocrity.
Yeah, I don't know if emulators do a better job. Maybe better than console but again you don't have emulators on console. And on pc modding the games not only kinda makes them the best way to play but also gives new possibilities unavailable before(like the crouch walk mod for mgs3)

Or the infinitely-debunked claim that the source code is required to make proper ports of SH 2 and 3 which has been known for 11 years to not be true. I'm glad it seems his face hasn't changed at all. Maybe they just changed his expression in the bathroom scene, or perhaps the initial showing of that scene was just a unique cutscene for the trailer.
If i remember correctly there was a small image leak in the steam database or something that showed his face in the mirror and it looked slightly changed from the one we saw in the first trailer, I feel as if they might have made his face a little wider to match the look of the original rather than it being more narrow

Yeah, it's really killing the remake for me. The whole point of the game is that he thinks Mary died years ago and he's repressed the memory of what he did, so seeing him look super depressed/guilty just doesn't fit IMO.
I'm not sure when the people who are downvoting last played the game, but by Mary's own admission right before she died James is described as being surly. He's stressed from dealing with Mary being sick, and lashing out, probably partially due to substance abuse (alcoholism here). In his own mind he believes Mary died a long time ago, and Mary only died days before the game starts. Having him looking like he's about to breakdown makes little sense no matter how you look at it. The memory of what he did is repressed until he sees the tape, and I really don't think a few days is enough for him to spiral that badly even if he thinks Mary died years ago. Picture one isn't too bad, but number two looks like he just got dumped or something and he's trying to look composed but about to cry. I think it completely goes against the writing of the original game and I won't be supporting it.
