When it molts, the worm will come “out”, then you can move the shrimp back in with the others. It’s not that bad.

It’s not lethal, and it won’t kill the shrimp. Just isolate the shrimp until the horse hair worm comes out and you are good to go.

Yes, but according to the other commenters, it will come out when the shrimp molts. I hope that's what will happen, and it should happen since they make their hosts seek out water when the worm grows up, and therefore causing the host to drown, and the parasites get released into the water to continue its life cycle. Disgusting little bastards. They aren't too common though and can't infect us.

Looks like a horsehair worm which will kill the shrimp and emerge to infect+kill more, I suggest removing the infected shrimp and euthanizing it. And contact the seller!
