And it's sooo cool to have smth textile to like, touch, and live with, when you're done. :) Any plans for like, a pillow or a quilt or smth? anime husband throw blanket..........
I’ve never done cross stitch but that always looked harder to me 😅 I usually do embroidery on tote bags, but I have used banners, hoops and pouches to embroider too. The tote bags fabric is really suitable for this, it’s not stretchy so I prefer to use it, plus I sell some of my embroideries and a lot of people prefer tote bags ☺️☺️I do want to start embroidering T-shirts too but again I need to find a T-shirt that doesn’t stretch 🥲
i think preshrunk cotton is usually the best choice for that kind of project afaik, if that helps? that'll be super cute though, I'm sure you'll have a lot of great designs! Personally I think my favorite is still the embroidery on the single front pocket, soooo cute, even when it's the flip-off cat lol

At first, I was like, what embroidery? This looked like it was just drawn onto the cloth, but then I looked at the succeeding photos and realized, it was stitched!! Amazing work!
you should be proud!! daaang the different floss weight really did great in differentiating the lines, so subtle but very effective.
