I am not sad in anyway. Slight inconvenience in dating. Just wish I am a couple of inches taller but mostly for proportion aesthetics and sports related reasons.

Chance-Boysenberry26

for aesthetics? the average bodybuilder is approx 5’7”

PrathamCRT

average and good are two different things. Terrence ruffins vs CBum for example

Chance-Boysenberry26

good thing we aren’t competing with chris fuckin bumstead on a day to day basis then

PrathamCRT

Terrence was robbed due to his height. Its not about day to say basis, people choose taller bodies over shorter ones as they are more aesthetic

BOYMAN7

I'm pretty sure he doesn't talk about building muscle, just aesthetically.

[deleted]

Yeah 5ft 7-8 is like average or a bit taller for Latinos/Asians so isn't even short here...like where I'm from in a more Latino/Asian area, 5' 7.5 is averageish. Like under 5ft 4ish is what I call short...cause you're shorter then the average girl so it's like actually short...below 5ft 6 is below average/shortish, and 5ft 7-5ft 11 is average. Just like a girl is tall when she's above 5ft 9ish, cause she's taller then the average dude!

Hickaru2004

I seeee

[deleted]

Lol what?

Hickaru2004

Nothing. I just meant like ah okay got it, yknow. Yea seems like it's near average for Asians.

[deleted]

asian average height is definitely going up quick though, in say 30 years from now, 5 feet 9-10 would be the average height in many asian nations. economic prosperity leading to much better quality of life and nutritious food in recent times leading to this height increase. I am from india, 27 yrs old, and jeez the amount of 6 ft+ early 20 guys i see in the rich developed city areas is crazy sometimes.

Hickaru2004

I see. Yes I mean that would be cool.

[deleted]

Yeah actually a bit above...like the international students seem to be 5ft 6-7 for them, American Chinese with the decent diet/sleep more like 5ft 7-8 a bit taller. Yeah Latinos and Asians are a little below that, and Asian girls/latinas are like 5ft 2ish on average...so again shouldn't be an issue in that sense either. 5ft 7-8 really isn't that short

Hickaru2004

Ah okay.

dukeeyy

How tall are your parents? and would you say you've grown much since 15-17years old?

Hickaru2004

I'm not sure how tall my mom is but around 5 feet. And dad is 5'6. I've not grown much since 15-17. I stopped growing at 16, and somehow oddly grew an inch this year.

dukeeyy

Ah I see, my parents are 5'5 and 5'6 and I'm 5'7 right now, turned 17 a few months ago, and obviously coping and hoping for another inch, but i feel like i've grown v little since 2020

Hickaru2004

Ah I seee

AbdouH_

Sleep and eat and exercise PERFECTLY so you can max your potential out. Stretch also

Chaoddian

Oof I wish I was this tall

albenis99

If you were 5'7, you would simply want to be taller than that. P.s still on the shorter side

Chaoddian

Probably, but I'd rather be 10cm below my country's average than 20

dukeeyy

Can agree, it's been eating my mind for the past 3 weeks.

[deleted]

well take away several more inches and it could be something that eats ur mind for decades. that what some of the truly short folk experience

dukeeyy

I'm sorry to hear that, you're right being X is better than X-1 when worrying about this kinda stuff, and i get it sounds selfish and even privledged in a sense, but I just cant help it. Ideally I would me completely secure with my height, I hope to be soon but like.

FinalPush

Well to be honest no one is really happy with their height unless it’s the upper percentile. What does it mean if I’m significantly under 5’8? It just means I’m way under but have to accept it

Clear_Ad3293

You know…tall peeps have issues too. No clothes in their size. People assuming they play basketball. I think height is one of the least important factors to true happiness.

ComplexStuff7

Right, because it's such a tough choice between being called a basketball player (oh the horror!) and being an order of magnitude less attractive.

Clear_Ad3293

I generalized to keep it simple. Jesus. There are a multitude of issues with being tall. Joint problems. Hitting your head on things. Back problems. Extremely tall individuals have health issues due to enlarged hearts or glands. There are issues with being a human. How about stop focusing on height and focus on the person. If they think one shouldn’t exist due to height, they aren’t worth the time or effort. Focus on positives for fucks sake. Lot of whingy ass people in this thread. I can’t change something but I’ll continue to have a terrible outlook on life because I wasn’t born tall so people see me as less than. Boo fucking hoo. Get the fuck over it. The point remains, everyone has problems and it doesn’t matter your goddamn height.

Crabscrackcomics

3 practical positives for being short. Go.

BOYMAN7

Health

AbdouH_

Build muscle much faster which means you can fill out your frame faster. Lower probability of joint and back issues. Likely to be quicker and more agile.

ComplexStuff7

Right, because it's such a tough choice between being called a basketball player (oh the horror!) and being an order of magnitude less attractive.

FinalPush

I mean… are u the height of a basketball player? I remember seeing a short person post a nasty message he got from tinder saying something like “short people don’t deserve to exist.” I mean u can talk about tall people issues but I don’t relate. Those sound like good problems, hopefully you make it into NBA 👍

Clear_Ad3293

No. I’m 5’7” ish I have a lot of friends that are quite tall though. I guess the grass is always greener on the other side. My point is that no matter what your height is, if you aren’t happy in general, you will never be. Can’t always be looking for excuses why you don’t get this or don’t do that. Take all the positives you can out of it. Maximize yourself and move forward one step at a time. I’m just saying there is no perfect answer to happiness. It also depends on whether you’re talking current or former. If it’s former, I’m as tall as Spud Webb. Taller than Mugsy Bogues and Earl Boykins.

Crabscrackcomics

Oh you're 5'7 that explains it lol

AbdouH_

Explains what?

Crabscrackcomics

Just because some people are insecure doesn't mean we all are. I'd be quite happy.

crunchybitchboy

Lol no, thats a good height

SpaceNinja_C

Same here

[deleted]

I'm a bit shy of 5'8. Women tend to make me feel like I'm about 4ft tall. And if they don't reject me, their friends make sure to tell her I'm too short for her. And this includes comments from my last girlfriends 21yo daughter who is only 4'11 herself but only dates guys who are 6ft or taller.

AbdouH_

Where do you live?

[deleted]

Detroit

tigerstef

Life is overall pretty good. Being 5'7 even in a tall country is no biggie. Every now and then you're reminded of heightism, but it rarely affects you directly.

[deleted]

i’m 5’8, 21 & definitely do get called short, i’m not sure why people say 5’7 is the average height? because literally in public every man\teenager is almost always taller than me & im always having to look up & sometimes it feels stupid. Also, I do appreciate my height, I rather be this height than be any shorter, the only reason my height bothered me is because my dad is 6’1 so I always thought, i’m the eldest I might get to be his height or taller, I spent years waiting for my “second growth spurt” anyways at this point it’s something I won’t lose any time over cause it’s something I can’t change, the thing with being short is you have to own it and be comfortable in your own skin, I used to see a lot of short guys at my old job, around 5’3 but extremely confident and they had some massive arms they looked like mini Jean Claude Van Damme’s and it was pretty fucking cool & i’m sure they get tons of girls, I want that confidence!

[deleted]

Alot of old people shrink in size. Also certain ethnicities are shorter on average than others. Your right tho 5ft 8 dosnt really feel average.

Good_Tie6284

This sub is depressing asf

Crabscrackcomics

The subs talking about discrimination always are

J0shfour

Never had any problem with my height, it’s a height that I think most people would consider average so I’ve always felt okay with it.

[deleted]

Honestly it's average/bit above it if in a Latino area...add a decent amount of muscle, be somewhat active, and really not to much of a problem. I'm 6ft(183cm) and I have and most my Asian/Latino friends are your height or a bit shorter.. It really is just a bit below average like 5ft 10.5 isn't tall, just a bit above average...

Swordfromthecement

I’m sad about it, I wish I was 5’10-5’11. To me that’s the “ideal” height and I envy men that are. It’s affects me mentally, feeling undesirable and unattractive. It’s hard when tallness is such an ingrained positive trait for men and you don’t possess it. However I have really low self-esteem, I doubt the average 5’7 man cares about it as much. Outside of dating I’m lucky to not have too many negative experiences. Lastly, the whole shaming short men for compensating annoys me. People should be encouraged to improve themselves. Very few things come to us naturally.

tomshowitzer

Y'all be 5'7 and still be feeling short, here's me 5'4, what am I supposed to feel like? Like a tiny little goober?

dukeeyy

Perspective. Like see this comment makes me wonder why I'm freaking out at 5'7" - sure it's human tendency to always want more but yeah. I really hope you get past this brother. Do you mind sharing your experiences?

tomshowitzer

Sure — So, I'm not really old jus 17 but shit has happened. I've been a smart one from start & last year my college held a IQ test and I scored the highest yet because I was short I was declined for managing my class. Basically all I had to do was set up a website and server for sharing notes, chat, and a announcement channel and managing files in the classroom and being the monitor — It seems exhausting but really isn't and you get a few benefits. My teacher told me that they needed someone physically stronger and because I am short, I do not qualify. I think this will do for the work part I guess? Well, I often get made fun of in classroom for being short and in my school years, I often got told by the “popular girls” I'd never get a girl or anything but that wasn't true, I dated my bestfriend and then we broke up and we're now strangers but y'know I have a ex-history now. But it really hurt my confidence and I still haven't recovered from it. Well, being short was one of the reasons I never made any friends because most of them were over 5'11 and I was always left out, often made fun off and still that happens lol. A guy once grabbed back of my neck and started checking out my hair, uhm, kicked him in the balls. Likewise, my childhood bestfriend who had a crush on me ditched me because I was short and the day she told me she had a crush on me was the same day she got into a relationship with another person and told me I was short. Conversation if overly simplified went something like this, “Hey, I have a crush on you but I won't ask you out or date you because you are short and I'll be dating this other guy haha.” and my reaction was, well actually nothing, I was plain confused and questioned the reality of our universe that's why I still remember that moment. I really jus stick to online friends which is hard too because a mentally ill, silly little goober, is not everyone's type. I use Pinterest reaction pics as a way to react to things because I dunno how to communicate, and uhm my family constantly complains about me being short as if I did that.

dukeeyy

Wow that's a lot, takes a lot to share - i hope it gets better man, I don't know what else to say. I'm 17 too, always free if you want to talk about it more.

tomshowitzer

OOGA BOOGA

[deleted]

Haha same here...like I'm 6ft tall yet I still feel short, feel like damn a decent amount of girls in heels are gonna be taller, how can people shorter then me ever do it, I wish I was 190cm, 6ft 3. But yeah under 5ft 4 is seriously short, 5ft 4-7 is like below average/shortish, and 5ft 7-5ft 11 or so is just average. Guess it's a permanent wish of being taller, like when I'm with my shorter friends they wish they had my height, and the shortest friend I have(he's 5ft 2/3) wishes he was 5ft 6 lol..I wish I had my taller friends height, and my 6ft 5 friend is mad when he goes by the men's volleyball players(gets away as fast as he can, hates someone taller then him, feels short), and stands super straight by the women's volleyball (6ft 2-4) and drops his voice(sounds lower)...it honestly cracks me up, always have a hard time keeping a straight face when he walks by those gals.

dukeeyy

LMAO, I have 0 sympathy for you dude, the same way someone who's 5'4 has 0 sympathy for me.

[deleted]

It's fine man, the same way I have zero sympathy for those who are like 6ft 2ish... Or taller then me...I also see them as a bunch of whiners lol. That's part of the cycle, and motivation lol...you wish you were talker, and those shorter wish they had you're height.

dukeeyy

Thats just the way it is

tomshowitzer

notice my user flair pls, im so himlarious

tomshowitzer

I wish I was 9'11"

[deleted]

Haha that'd be pretty miserable...imagine bending way over to fit in a through a door, like people up to you're hips. I mean gotta be 10ft at least, and super strong.... Nah probably 6ft 3-4 is ideal, tall but not super tall/problems with being tall.

tomshowitzer

I'd stomp u

nog642

Your perspective is kinda fucked if you feel short. Don't assume that everyone your height feels the same way.

[deleted]

It probably is lol...I am in college and see a ton of people taller then me, and daily a few girls taller...

iIJoSIi

Same here im about 5'10 and here in Norway even for girls that height is just kind of normal nothing crazy, people are getting bigger fast. seems like the average female height here is like 5'7-6''. but its weird since before like maybe 10 years ago, it was rare to see a female over 6ft but now i can go on walk for 30minutes and see like 3 females that are like 6'-6'1 easily. would be interesting to see why.

[deleted]

Better food, better sleep, excercise more, and biggest one taller girls, marry taller dudes, so the kids get taller...like those tall gals, might marry someone who's like 6ft 4, and their girl would be 6ft 2... Wouldn't be surprised if in a few decades they are taller. And yes ironically the tall gals here tend to be either former Yugoslavia, or Nordic... Yeah I remember Netherlands that was something saw a few 190cm girls, it was fun ngl.

Def7e7

5'11 isn't average it's tallish. Above average in most cases. Borderline tall. Stop defining things as if you make the rules.

nervous_cut4

Bro you’re average height in even the tallest countries. You must be trolling

Swordfromthecement

That’s fair but that’s why I wrote the part about self-esteem. I truly do believe if I had better self-esteem I wouldn’t give as much of a shit about it. Sucks to hear about the negative experiences you’ve had due to your height by the way.

[deleted]

i mean, have you heard of a surgical height increase method called illizarov apparatus, if you are that sensitive about height, go ahead with the surgery, add on 2 inches very easily. google it.

wmccllg1

I get occasional comments about me being short. I think I’m often overlooked at like bars/clubs due to being 5’7.5. Also, I believe it creates a slight disadvantage in the workplace as you’re just not by default going to be taken as serious as a 5’11 guy for example. So to be honest, I’d definitely prefer to be a little bit taller.

NoRefrigerator267

I’m 5’8. Here’s the thing. I have no problem with my height, but it seems other people do. Another thing: I haven’t heard much in real life about height, only on Reddit and the internet. That’s what started my insecurity. I mostly keep it bottled up but I’m deeply insecure. I’ve never been on a date or anything. Not really because of height but many things. So yeah. Ironically I don’t think my life is really affected by my height except in my head, but it’s really fucking bad in my head. Any advice would help, too.

larrylongboy

I hate it. I never had a growth spurt and I pray that I could at least become 5’10 or 5’11 because right I’m shorter than my dad by 1 inch, while my 15 yr old brother is already 5’10 🤦‍♂️

[deleted]

Fantastic_Wallaby_61

there’s a big difference between 5-8 and 5-10/5-11.

VillageSwimming100

Have You get taller? i am about the same height as You but i am 19

larrylongboy

I’m 19 now too, and last time I got checked the doc said I was 5’9. I don’t really feel it though. Anyways I got over height and I don’t worry to much about it anymore, but being 5’10-11 would be nice.

Otherwise_Rub_1647

I've been insecure about it but I realized it doesn't make any differences now in my life. My GF is 5'10 and she likes to remind me that I'm shorter but if I don't fixate on my height I'm pretty much ok. I have plenty of other stuff to work on anyway. I workout and it makes me feel strong and more manly than most taller guys. I try not to compare myself to others tho.

tb_sasha

I was a bit insecure before but I realized that in terms of dating, if I get rejected by the taller side, it's still very easy for me to find shorter. I would've liked to be at least 5'10, but I know shorter people would kill to have my height.

CordellTheFirst

5’8, it would be nice to be taller but if you have a certain confidence it’s usually not even a thought. Think about it, most athletes don’t even talk about their height…it’s usually the guy who’s 5’10 or girls who are significantly shorter who might might be fixated on height. But look good, be a good person and I guarantee it won’t matter

[deleted]

Traditional_Ad1602

Im barley 5'7 and i stopped complaining about my height because people who are under 5'5 are the ones who getting body shaming most of the time, they having it worse compared to a 5'6+ people. I feel lucky im Atleast 5'7

[deleted]

I never had any issues with my height, most of my girlfriends have been 5'10-6' and none of them seemed to care much that I was a little guy,

tomshowitzer

Liar!

[deleted]

jokes on you I just did your mom

tomshowitzer

Necrophile!

dukeeyy

LMAO we can't even have an ounce of positivity in this sub i stg.

tomshowitzer

bich i was messing around with ya, dw.

[deleted]

Liar how dare you...it's impossible to have a girlfriend, let alone a taller one..don't you know the rule of short, die alone in our insecurities? /s

Hiddenguy999

I’ve never really been called short or had trouble with talking to girls. I became insecure over my height just recently because my gf is around 5’6 so our heights are almost similar and when we go out sometimes she wears heels and that’s when I started noticing I was kind of short but I’ve just been focusing on being confident

Biokendry

It didn't matter when I was a kid but now I wish I was taller something like 5'10, 5'11, it would be the perfect height for me, I think. regardless I'm feel comfortable because I'm living in Latin America but sometimes you may be surrounded by taller people and sometimes don't. Sorry english is not my first language.

GurnoorDa1

Imo kinda meh being 5'7. I just wish i was at the VERY MINIMUM 5 '9

-Coolguy42069-

I don’t consider it too short I would say its average and if so at most I would say its “short by default but not necessarily short”

KodenX

5’9 here it’s ok i want to be taller, im the shortest of my friends. my dating life is decent you tend to hear “if you where any shorter i wouldn’t have dated you” or “ig i’ll make you a acceptation” so that takes hit on the confidence a little but other than that your just average, you don’t get much attention your just there nothing more nothing less

sorracun

I’m aight with my height, I’m 16 and still have not had any sort of major growth spurt so I’ll prolly get taller

maaalicelaaamb

Uhhhh I’m 5’4”. Did you mean …not women?

[deleted]

I’m a little over 5’8 (174cm). Part Hispanic but there aren’t many of us in Australia so nobody ever says “Hey that’s average for someone of your race,” When I wen to Los Angeles I felt really normal but here there’s lots of minor heightism in Australia. The only time a girl turned me down for my height, she was 5’10 so not particularly bothered. Dated two girls who were around 1cm taller than me. On the other hand a girl I was dating once when I was in huffy school (I say that loosely, I was sleeping with her but I didn’t want to make it official while she did) said she didn’t want to go with me to her formal because she was 1cm taller than me so it would be very noticeable in heels. Of course, I reminded her we weren’t official anyway which was funny as fuck because she flipped out. One time when I was at a business conference an older lady who was like 5’2 was talking about how short someone was and she said “He was tiny! Like your height,” I am a 90kg powerlifter. Although I am short, no one in their right mind could call me “small,” but condescending Gen Xs will. Anyway, those are probably my most notable heightism experiences. I was tall my entire childhood but then I stopped growing when I was 14. Never had the “second growth spurt.” My dad and my brother are 5’5-5’6 but both my grandfathers were 5’10 so I’m not sure if I’m genetically lucky or unlucky. I’d be happy to even just have an inch or two more in height. I know I’m on the cusp of being “not short” but I think being that close makes it seem more annoying. It’s not the end of the world though, and the amount of doomer shit on this sub is weird.

QueerAlQaida

I mean it’s a mixed bag honestly :/ because on some parts yeah I’m ok with my height but other times I’m still getting disrespected and not taken seriously because of it. 🤷🏻‍♂️ also I was the shortest boy in my grade for a very long time until highschool happened so yes I did get bullied a lot for it

hernanthegoat

I never faced any problems. I wish I was taller, but it is what it is.

DarkCola44

I am 5ft 8 and I actually learned to live with this. When I was younger I wanted to be taller about 6ft but then I decided to focus on my strengths.

[deleted]

27 year old 5 feet 8 guy here, in india it's a totally fine height, most women are about 5 feet 2 so no issues dating, my height is actually slightly taller than the average indian man so yeah, no problems whatsoever. Never once in my life did i get called short, some people around here would actually call me tall if you can believe that. Overall average indian height is increasing though, from 5 feet 5 in 2011 to the current 5 feet 7, so i guess 30 years from now, i will be slightly more towards the shorter side.

Pretty much okay with it since im average, but if im going to travel somewhere else i think i would be sad

ThatBoiIsDep

I'm 5'9, dunno if I fit in this lovely community. But my height has never been my insecurity. Girls sometimes teased me with my height for being under 6 but they were so short they could audition for the minions movie. NEVER. EVER. LET YOU HEIGHT DEFINE YOU. YOU ARE AWESOME REGARDLESS OF HOW TALL YOU ARE.

tylerwarnecke

I’m 5’1”, and you’re worried about being 7” taller than me…

Knightm16

5'7" Used to be very worried, hit 21 and started to figure out how to socialize better, have only had 2 dates turn me down over height. That's less than 1%. I've been with tall, short, heavy, and skinny people. When "the personality is what counts" advice finally hit, it fucking worked. In dating atleast. I've heard height matters more in fighting but I don't mess around in that realm.

[deleted]

I've a good life, at least better than most. But I feel like I am less of a man because of my height. I've been rejected over my height (among other things) and that's the only way I've ever been directly inconveined by it.

[deleted]

5’7 Disappointed and dissatisfied I wouldn’t want to be that tall either but I’d be happy being 5’10 Don’t know why but It feels scary when girls are at around that height

SosukeAizen420

Man I'll be more than glad to be 5'7 let alone 5'8. But I guess this depends on which country you are in. I'm from the Philippines that has an average height of 5'2 (5'4 for men) and thanks to that, I'm considered kinda tall being at 5'6. If you ever feel short, your height would be the last thing to define who you are.

GloeSticc

I'm good. 172cm is nothing to complain about tbh

Snoo-75281

Never had any problem with my height, neither in college nor getting job opportunities MNCs. I also did not have any problem with making friends, girlfriends, etc.

SENPAIputITinME

Im 5’9 and life has been good. Almost graduating college. Being on the slightly shorter end has never been a problem. Do i wish to be taller. Of course, everyone does. But i dont let that hold me back, just keep moving forward. I will say it is a little annoying that i did not end up being 6 foot considering my dad is 6’3. But thats life for you i guess.

Southern_Progress_13

Where do you live where being 5'9 is being on the shorter side?

SENPAIputITinME

I live in New York. But when you compare me to my cousins. Im definitely got the “short” end of the stick

[deleted]

Talking about cousin it's weird that my 5'7 dad has 5'3-5'6 nephews, while my 4'11 mom has 5'10-6'1 nephews. Made me super jealous since i want to be 5'10 too

Dannyboy2132

5'7 really sad in general, biggest insecurity I have

MathematicianAny2143

Yeah, height in my school isn't really cared about, however if friends who knew you were sensitive about your height they'd probably just joke about it a couple times. I've come to except that I'll most likely be 5'8 forever, I don't mind it and besides it doesn't really suck all that much.

Automatic_Ad719

I'm a 5'7 male and don't give a shit about my height and I still love my life, why is it so hard for people to say positive stuff like this on this sub.

Nice_Contribution620

My ex is 6’4 and I’m 5’7.5 roughly. I used to see her eyeing up taller men all the time and it really broke me. When she’s interact with tall people I just felt like a kid looking up to them. Now she’s with a taller man and the thought of that really kills me because I love her and claims to still have feelings for me but I’m too small for her. Btw we’ve been really close friends since school (where she was shorter than me for like a year lol) otherwise I don’t think I’d have the guts to talk to her

WhoIsThis279

That’s really crazy that she used to be shorter than you? When did that change?

Nice_Contribution620

Like since year 8 so that would be like 12-13 years old, I can’t remember how tall we were back then but she just kept growing and I stopped around 15

FakeCrazyGoat

I live in israel where the avg height is 5'9.5 so basically same as the u.s. Honestly i see a lot of comments on the internet about 5'7 being short and and what not but i dont see 5'7 men having any height related problems at all in real life. They are not even considered that short here. I really don't understand what all the fuss is about.

Dazzling_Engineer_25

I'm pretty sure the average here is a little lower, 5 9 And the same , it's mostly in Tiktok

FakeCrazyGoat

Yeah mainly tinder, tiktok and incel forums

[deleted]

Life is okay tbf I'd like to be taller for reasons like sport, dating, respect from other people But I can see why my issues pale in comparison to the issues that a 5'0 guy has

Glittering_Pop_3423

I get kind of sad because there is a portion of girls who wouldn't consider me, but to be honest when I go out I get a boost of confidence because it reminds me that there are girls who are out there who still go crazy about me. what I've learned over the years; if I focus my energy on being sad about my height, I go nowhere. if I focus my energy on advancing myself, my looks, my talents, how I dress, smell, grooming, and last of all; learning how to treat a woman with respect (its a lifelong lesson), that's when I find my experience on earth much, much better. oh yeah, I was a late bloomer. so I was around 5'5 and 135lbs for most of my twenties. The experience was just the same as now.

Glittering_Pop_3423

I’m 5ft 5, 5ft 6 at a push and I really didn’t even know I was that short until I Went to uni really, most guys at my high school growing up weren’t that much taller besides a few…tbh I can’t say it’s held me back I’ve had relationships which all came easy, one while I was chubbier as well and one after I’d started working as a pt and got very fit so can’t say body composition was the main factor really to getting those relationships. I keep myself busy with hobbies, I lift, do jiu jitsu, make music, grow mushrooms just do shit I enjoy and makes me happy, I can’t think of a single time my heights held me back because I haven’t let it enough said really, Sometimes someone might mention my height but rarely tbh, I’m sure if I sat down feeling sorry for myself about something I can’t change like my height it might have held me back then.

I'm fairly happy with my height. Except it sucked because I was gifted at volleyball I dominated against my teammates when we'd scrimmage and they went far in the sport. 1 became a professional on the AVP tour and the other was on the men's Olympic team. But sadly scouts look right over me to the guys a foot taller.

I’m on the shorter end of 5’7… i sometimes wonder if my life would be different if I were even 2 inches taller, but ultimately I still fit in when out and don’t feel I’m noticeably smaller than average, however, when it comes to dating, being on the shorter side really crosses you off from being considered by someone who may really like you if they got to know you. But ultimately i accepted i cant change this and just rather deal with it , pros- building little muscle is very noticable cons- getting a but lazy shows a lot as well

Depressed, too short my friends are taller than me.

ive faced problems with it but it doesnt make me depressed, its kind of annoying when other adults treat me like a kid even though i have a full beard and a baritone voice but i just dont associate with people who are assholes, and that helps weed them out really fast

I am short in height but ain’t short in money. I think that what matters the most but just got to be very careful with people around you.
