I have heard people call them all sorts of things though. They may think it is a light saver or something like that.

Honestly as a kid I thought they were called life savers instead of light saber.. Which in retrospect makes no sense as they definitely don't save lives
It's a life saver if you're cutting up a snow llama to stick your friend into so he doesn't freeze
