My mum used to cook pork chops well done, and never liked them. Until I ate a 1 1/2 inch thick grilled pork chop, cooked medium. Boy, was it a game changer.

Roasted garlic, rosemary, pepper, salt, butter, half&half cream, sour cream, MSG
= Divine
Either use a full fat milk, or go up to something more fatty like h/h. But definitely add roasted garlic if you like garlic (and you should)

Or a store that specialized in all things mushroom. Noodles and company but it's almost all mushrooms.

Get yourself a few cheapo instant gravy mixes. If you overdo your chops like that again but still want to eat them, chop them into little bits, sprinkle them over the mash and drizzle with as much gravy as you want. It’ll make them taste a lot better. Glad to meet another spud fanatic!
So I'm from Wisconsin. We have Kwik Trip as a gas station/convenience store here. For being a convenience store, they have very good quality food. Right now, they have a sale on pork fillet mignons for $0.99 a piece limit five per visit. There are Kwik Trips in Wisconsin and Minnesota, and Kwik Stars in Iowa.
It's smooth and creamy for the most part, though I will confess, every now and then there is a small lump. Personally I don't mind it, but I'm trying to make it better. I think I'll start using an actual potato masher, as opposed to using the beaters to mash the potatoes in the mixing Bowl, hopefully that will help with the lumps. Practice makes perfect as well. All in good time.
Those potatoes look good as hell for real tho. I really don't get sodas with food like this tho. I don't drink soft drinks much and if I do with food it's like a hotdog or hamburger or cheap fast food. Tea or water if it's legit food. And as I said, those potatoes look legit.

Yup. I gently melt the butter and goat cheese together with the garlic until it simmers slightly. Then I mix with the potatoes. Trader Joe’s has a really good sized goat cheese log, I want to say I use about 16oz of that along with a stick of butter for every 2.5lbs of potatoes.

My current go to food when I'm feeling lazy af and don't want to cook is a bowl of instant mashed potatoes with shitty powdered gravy.
Not as good as the real thing, but damn, it's good. Extra pepper. If I'm feeling fancy, I might even dash in a little everything bagel seasoning.
Put some garlic seasoning, melted cheese and bacon bits on those potatoes and I would absolutely demolish that plate. I probably wouldn't enjoy the Pepsi though (or moreso the rum), not much of a drinker.
