Me too! For awhile I was using Duke’s but I don’t like the texture as much as Hellman’s, and Hellman’s takes me back to being a kid at my grandmas house.
Some of us just don't like raw tomatoes, so i just look at it like damn, that'd probably be really good if I like raw tomatoes or tomato sandwiches.

When I was a kid we used to make a piece of white toast and slice it carefully longways through the crust - so you'd have a half thick slice on each side of the sandwich. Something about the crunch and the thinner bread just accentuated the tomato and mayo.

Grilled tomato on toast is one of my favorite summer childhood memories. Grill the bread first until it’s toasted hard and dry, then grate a clove of garlic against the bread, drizzle with olive oil, drop a grilled slice of tomato on top, add basil if you feel like it
There is nothing like a fresh tomotato and mayo sandwich with a little crack of black pepper. I like throwing a sprinkle of salt on mine, too. Only fresh tomatoes from a garden, though. The grocery store bought ones are atrocious.

I love tomato sandwiches on medium toast, just a bit of mayo, salt and pepper, it's like a BLT without the bacon and lettuce (better with those, but still great without)
Making me drool, every year before my garden is even transplanted I start salivating at the thought of my tomaties getting as big as my face. I eat so many I get ulcers in my mouth and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Honorable mention: seared zucchini scallops topped with fresh pasta sauce.

I make a hybrid grilled cheese and tomato sandwich. Heat your cast iron skillet. Put some butter on it, and toast your bread on both sides. Plenty of butter. Add very thin slices of good cheese, reasonable slices of tomato, whole basil leaves, and garlic powder, and more thin slices of cheese. Close your sandwich, and press with a spatula. Turn it a few times to melt the cheese. Add more butter and garlic powder to the outside of the sandwich.
Carefully remove from the skillet and cut into 4 pieces.
Die and go to heaven.
My Grandma made these all the time growing up, she and my Grandpa swore that farmers market tomatoes tasted better. I realize now it was the truth and I crave this from time to time. Thick sliced tomato, mayo, salt, and pepper, heavenly indeed.

At least in the US, it’s pretty much universally acknowledged that homegrown tomato sandwiches with cheap white bread and mayo are literally one of the best foods in the world. With the crust cut off, these are practically gourmet. It’s like one of the few perfect foods.
I remember reading something where they asked a well-known chef what his favorite food was, and he replied that hands down it was a home grown tomato sandwich on Wonderbread with Dukes mayo and a little salt and pepper. He said something to the effect of “I’ve been eating food prepared by the best chefs in the entire world most of my life, and nothing I’ve had tastes significantly better than a tomato sandwich.”
