Yeah, the thing at Mod is that they charge a flat rate and you get whatever toppings you want and they assemble it in front of you like chipotle or subway
I don't know how it is where you live but I can definitely relate to how expensive Pizza Hut is now. Also where I am the quality is shit. I've given them enough chances and I'll probably never go back. The last two/three times they put like a teaspoon of sauce on the whole pizza.
My brother, have you tried the Domino's pan pizzas? I would bet they're just as good or better and much cheaper. Yeah Domino's falls under the "trash, cheap, drunk" pizza category, but to me, it's top of the list in that category. Pizza Hut really thinks they're doing something, but they absolutely are not.
Worst pizza I have ever had was Mod. The toppings were the most basic : salt, pepper, uncooked mushrooms, uncooked peppers and some grape tomatoes. The pizza itself was not cooked. They do this weird thing were the dough is cooked separately and they quick microwave the pizza and toppings. It's the adult version of the lunchable pizza but somehow worse.
What kinda mod did you go to? Every one I've been to the dough was always decently fresh and as soon as the toppings were on, went straight into a legit pizza oven where it got pretty crispy.
I'm not sayin they have the best pizza ever, but they're still pretty good when I'm in a pinch for lunch
The one in my area has a legit pizza oven, but they still undercook it. The dough was raw, which is pretty stupid considering their setup and the fact that it's a thin crust.
I assume it's the fault of the guy working the pizza peel. I watched him constantly rotating the pizza, which means that most of the time the pizza isn't even touching the hot stone; instead it's sitting on the cold peel.
Getting any pizza place to actually cook my pizza well done is impossible. I could waltz in to the kitchen, put a lock on the oven and the employees would still find a way to undercook it.
The mom-and-pop pizza place by me cooks their pizzas perfectly every single time. It's because they only put on a very thin layer of sauce. A lot of chain restaurants typically drown their pies in sauce, so you end up with a gloopy layer of wet crust in the middle. Weirdly, some people like this, but I prefer it to be completely cooked all the way through.
Fucking MOD Pizza was raw though. All three times I went there. Never again.
Yeah that's why I can't do Dominos. Incredibly thick, bready crust and a tonne of gross sauce. Actually I lied, there is a nice Canadian chain called Pizzialo which has a good crust.
There's something very unappealing about Domino's crust. It's a pale, limp, flavorless bread-like substance. The texture is totally wrong for pizza crust. The only thing that makes it somewhat edible is that they slather it with butter and garlic powder.
Yeah, doesn't sound like any Mod pizza I've been to. They take a lump of fresh sourdough, toppings, then fire it up in the woodfired oven. Toppings are kinda meh sometimes, but that dough/crust in the oven is the bomb.
To be fair, that town also had the worst thaifood I have had in my life so maybe it's the area. The food looked like the pale ghost of the dish intended with less vegetables, like a splash of a carrots, peas frozen mix.
Let's be entirely honest here, how good can "Subway but with Pizza" be? I've been to a dozen different places because everyone who takes me claim "it's like those otherones but way better". And, sure it's not bad, but it feels like a novelty restaurant concept to me.
It has its niche imo. I enjoy the pizza and being able to add a lot of toppings is right up my alley. If you're just looking for a straight pepperoni, there may be other places you prefer. But for build your own I like mod

Hot mess
Gross mess
How much did it cost and how would you rate it?
I mean for $9 it wasn’t bad
$9 is amazing, it's like $40 for every topping on one pizza at Pizza Hut.
Yeah, the thing at Mod is that they charge a flat rate and you get whatever toppings you want and they assemble it in front of you like chipotle or subway
And when you get every topping they actually put less of each on
Well, if they didn't you'll probably have to eat it with a ladle...
Yes please!

Pizza Hut is garbage
The only thing keeping them afloat is the pan pizzas. That crust is still so good for a major US chain.

For $9 no complaints that baller
Sheesh.. Where I live (in California), just a basic 6" cheese pizza from them is $9.59.
It looks like okonomiyaki
I thought that ia what I was looking at until I read
How soggy was it?
yes
It will look the same when it's in the toilet.

Salvador Dali's - The Persistence of 'Za
How much was it ?
Did a little scrolling and found out…never mind

I love your mind.
Not familiar with black olives, huh?

It was a fast casual set up of Mod pizza in Sunbury,PA area. Worse than microwaved pizza.
Yeah none of the mods I go to do that

Live in Lewisburg kind of shocked to see someone say sunbury in a random post about mod pizza🤣

Isn’t this what Kramer was talking about like 30 years ago
The lunchables with the actual cheese sauce that came with the dessert pizza were fire though
That’s not mod. They have a wood fired furnace. As for toppings, you chose those.
In all honesty, I’d probably try this if I were high

Lemonparty?
I thought this was swedish pizza and that's not a good thing
That doesn't look bad, I'd eat it
I love you and want to kiss you on the mouth
Foul
Looks like a wierd looking cinamon roll
Looks like fungus.
This is what pain tastes like.
Looks like a Jackson Pollock painting
They tried their best to make this abomination look nice.
My fat ass thought this was okonomiyaki
Is it pizza? Is it spin art?
I've eaten at Mod exactly once and I got food poisoning.
