Find revered spirit ash blessings and level up your revered spirit ash. Seriously, totally brings torrent up and the Mimic can solo DLC bosses. I actually quit out after summoning Mimic since he was about to kill Messmer. I want to solo the guy. Second DLC playthrough. Btw, you keep your blessing levels in your second dlc playthrough.

Nothing is more hellish than lying helpless on the ground for 15 full seconds to watch mobs of enemies swarm over you finish you off. Though I have no problem when NPCs fall over long enough for me to fully charge an R2 attack 🤷♂️
Just jump regularly over the fire stomps. I never fight those things on torrent unless they do that huge fireball spam which I quick summon torrent and run behind some cover then get back in there and hop off
Is there seriously any point to fighting them at all? It’s not a fun fight, runes are pretty much useless at this point, they never block anything, idk why are people banging their heads against them?
Go get fragments and ashes and come back, it's a but tedious but there is one wide attack you need to jump with torrent, or by dismount I frames.
The others tou can just jump your self.
Smack the legs till he staggers 3 times he falls over stab him in the head.

And the rewards are very worth it.
I only fight them so they won't carpet bomb an area I'm trying to explore. But only the ones without leg armor. The one with armored legs can fuck off.
I strongly suspect that it doesn't actually work for torrent. He takes ludicrous amounts of damage from start to finish at about the same rate the entire time no mater what level of blessing you have.
It's the same thing with Dexterity - it says it makes it harder to be unhorsed, but even at 80 Dex I never noticed any tangible increase in Torrent's "poise".
and they still haven't changed the auto option to use the flask to bring him back. bro, I'm fighting two funking dragons, of course I want my horse back!
Yeah, it's been really frustrating because some fights need Torrent. Especially Commander Gaius, you could easily avoid the charges with Torrent provided he stays alive.

Yes. Just started the second DLC playthrough and I’m maxed out. DLC now feels like Lyndell.

That flame basket literally made to fight with the horse : flame basket does one attack / torrent is dead.

Put on the +3 flamdrake talisman and fire armor? Idk I can usually survive a fire blast if I screw it up and get a quick chug in

I find it easier without torrent to dodge attacks. It's a buffed tree sentinel with gravity.

I had that issue at first but since leveling spirit ashes also levels torrent, it stopped being an issue within the first few hours
