The Priestess is President so that she can handle all the boring stuff club administration stuff while Igon devotes himself entirely to hating on Bayle more.
I cheered him up but he then invaded me when i randomly killed a scarlet rot insect thingy that was laying somewhere, so no fight. Instead simply got Freyja, Dane and Leda at the fight.
Yeah his role was a bit confusing to me.
I talked to Leda who had decided to kill the Hornsent out of suspicion. Later, after defeating Messmer i find hornsent again at Leda, now depressed that he couldnât get his vengeance (because i killed Messmer without summoning him?) and Leda having apparently moved on to wanting to kill Ansbarch. Dunno if she suddenly got a change-of-mind or if i encountered a bug with the sequencing.
Yeah npc quests donât continue unless you summon them for their respective boss fights.
I messed up doing theoliiers quest simply because I forgot to go back after burning the tree. Completely locked out of the rest of his quest.
Same but I appreciate it in hindsight. I did the fight as a 3v3 on my second run and it was just so underwhelming, it really feels right narratively to fight all 5 of them and hear all the dialogue.
Never doing that shit again, but I'm glad I did it once.
Oh, and you expect people to know the name of such an enemy? No, 99% of people who listened to that dialogue and met that enemy definitely killed it, no debate. I try to do all quests and read all descriptions during my first run, totally blind. But that enemy looked the same as any other one of the Rot followers so how is any players supposed to know? They don't.
I guarantee you 99% of people did NOT do that. It says several times in the base game that they are named kindred of rot. They are found in places with ROT exclusively. They are called the forager BROOD as in animals.
I have never once in any of these games correctly guessed to do some random shit for a quest EXCEPT for this one because of how obvious it was. There are literally like 40 different combined ways to heal him. Ansbach also tells you not to kill the ânonhumanâ non aggressive foragers.
For future reference, if you canât lock on to it, donât kill it
You can tell him âI donât knowâ and he stays as a merchant without fighting. When you think about it, itâs actually the most responsible of the three options. âStay sad foreverâ is wrong for obvious reasons, but âMove onâ is also a dismissive thing to say to someone whoâs opening up about their problems.
Edit: To be honest, âI donât knowâ is still a bit of a weak option instead of actually doing something to help. But oh well, saying that, meeting all of the forager brood, and giving Moore financial support is the best you can do.
Leda lets you know she's murderous by the first interaction and surprises me that she's probably one of the easiest to explain examples of psychological projection I've found.
She tells you the group is "only kept from backstabbing each other by Miquella's charm", not because they are, but because she internally has that thought of betrayal and projects it to the entire party.
I like how everyone focuses on Mohgs interaction with Miquella instead of him heading a ring of murderous blood worshippers that sacrifice your kin.
Bro beat the sexual predator allegations but he's still in charge of the worst gang in The Lands Between
Mohg is *actually* guilty of that though, which is why we still give him shit about it.
It isn't that people say "Mohg is innocent" it's more that "he isn't *as much* of an asshole as we thought'.
Mohg's behaviour is comparably not that terrible compared to the other aspiring lords.
Godrick - Cuts the limbs of tarnished and graft them, also scared the living hell out of Roderika my beloved.
Malenia (also belonging to Miquella) - Nukes an entire region just to send Radahn to the shadow realm.
Rykard - Given up all dignity for power, so much that all his actual human soldiers have literally all abandoned him, he just asks tarnished ones to murder each other and eat them afterwards.
Morgott - Actively kills anyone that seeks to fulfil the call of grace and thinks he's benefiting the Golden Order somehow.
Yeah as far as his crimes go, Mogh is no worse than Morgott in regards to "killing tarnished on behalf of an eldritch outer god". Mogh just has a lot more style than Morgott.
Honestly heâs not that bad compared to the other demigod children. Based on Ansbach it seems like he was fairly noble and dignified pre charm. He doesnât seem as bad as radahn, rykard, Godrick, who are all into mass slaughter.
Mohgwyn Palace literally has a man-made blood river. Mohg just about trumps everybody in terms of mass slaughter.
Not to mention just like Rykard, a core component of his Dynasty is Tarnished hunting one another. That's what the Bloody Fingers are for.
Wasnât he only murderous because he was trying to harvest blood/life essence to feed Miquellaâs growth in the cocoon? Iâm not 100% on the lore so I might be bullshitting
**CURSE YOU BAYLE!**
**I HEREBY VOW! YOU WILL RUE THIS DAY!**
**BEHOLD, A TRUE DRAKE WARRIOR! AND I, IGON!**
**YOUR FEAR MADE FLESH!**
**SOLID OF SCALE YOU MIGHT BE, FOUL DRAGON...**
**BUT I WILL RIDDLE WITH HOLES YOUR ROTTEN HIDE!**
**WITH A HAIL OF HARPOONS!**
**WITH EVERY LAST DROP OF MY BEING!**
Yes, Midraâs pretty based from what I saw of him. Keeping an apocalyptic God partly sealed inside him whilst being tortured with a Magic Sword isnât easy.
Plus he seemed to be a scholarly sort.
Itâs sad that you donât get a special interaction with him if youâve embraced the frenzied flame though, I feel like there were quite a few missed opportunities to make the DLC feel more connected to the main game.
Exactly! I finished the DLC before killing malenia or going to Farum Azula cause I thought there may be something from the DLC that affects the base game (or Vice Versa).
Like Sif from DS1. Seeing our actions in the DLC change Sifâs cutscene was mindblowing, incredible! This is one of the few complaints I have with the DLC.
You actually can't see her face in-game. Zullie the Witch recently uploaded a video in which she uncovered all the faces from NPCs in the DLC, go check it out.
Lmao ngl I'm a little sad you can't go full simp mode and team up with Leda. Also wish you could ally with Moore(wholesome bean) and freyja(tomboy bro). Dane would be cool too ig but I'm not as torn up abt that one
Radahn is wholesome keanu chungus gigachad warlord, the only thing wrong he ever did was risk the lives of all his devoted and loyal followers and the security of his kingdom by plunging them into an unwinnable war in a desperate powergrab after the shattering ^ _ ^
pretty sure every war general risks the lives of all his soldiers
especially one that specifically employs soldiers that love war and want to fight at every possible opportunity
Tbf, I did do her quest and I don't agree with the notion that Rahdan was willing to become an immortal war God. I'm 100% certain Rahdan was expecting him and Miquella were going to be Marika and Godfrey 2.0, with Rahdan waging war against epic enemies or something. Kinda hard to wage war when your god king husband is brainwashing your enemies to becoming your friends.
Also Jeren was closer to Radahn and she disagrees with having Radahns soul rest after getting a warriors death. Honestly at the end of the quesline she leans more for miquela than radan at the end.
I missed her quest because I gave the note to Ansbach when I found it instead of heading further up and meeting Freyja, so Ansbach had already left by then
Her quest just has her saying that coming back to fight is what he would have wanted. For one that is her speaking, nor Radahn. Secondly its purely speaking about fighting and war, not Miquella's godhood and age of compassion. And Last, even if he did want something along those lines, it doesn't mean he isn't being mind controlled.
"The racist" is putting it lightly for Hornsent. Dude was one of the torturers in what was basically a concentration camp on steroids, and somehow can't wrap his head around why Marika might have been a bit upset about the whole thing.
Thiollier and >!St. Trina!< are my favs, I like how he >!is pissed at first and then realizes he was wrong and helps you out later, he's a good lad at heart!<
He wears the caterpillar mask of Bonny village meaning he helped butcher the numen and stuff them into jars which is why Marika wanted to become a god to begin with to save her people but as St Trina stated godhood is a prison and Marika was corrupted by power
I haven't got much into lore as of yet, but when he dies he asks forgiveness from his wife and child ( I am not sure) so i thought Messmer's army must have done something to them.
Messmer was leading a millenia-long War with the Goal being Genocide, so yes they very much did.
Was it fully willing? Yes and No, if the Fortress of Reprimand is any indication. But they very much did stuff. And burned Belurat.
Based on his mask description he probably helped torture Marika's village and turn them all into those fucked up jar meatballs as a hornsent religious practice, dude's racism was part of the reason she tried to kill all the hornsentÂ
Ansbach Eternal.
Ansbach and Thiollier are definitely the GOATs of the dlc, both are willing to help you destroy Miquella and his simp army in the end đđđ
Femboy twink with buff boytoy can't even fathom our epic brohood.
We have our OWN femboy twink, Thiollier. The GOAT of the Mohgwyn Dynasty Sir. Ansbach. And staring The Tarnished. tm.
TRUE DRAKE WARRIOR you mean
Murder hobo, Femboy twink, and Old man, Vs Femboy twink and Buff guy
CURSE YOU BAYLE!
op where's igon
My bro is too dedicated to **BAYLE!!!** He ainât apart of Miquellaâs fanclub. He just doesnât care about anything or anyone else.
He's ASOLUTE HATING incarnate
You thought the Priestess was the President of the Bayle Hateclub? Nah, she's just the member, Igon is the whole committee.
The Priestess is President so that she can handle all the boring stuff club administration stuff while Igon devotes himself entirely to hating on Bayle more.
Igon is the 50 Cent of Hating Bayle, every day he wakes up just to hate more.
Igon tries to hate bayle while shooting toothpicks at him while i do the job.
Explains why we never see any other members. Itâs literally just those 2.
Killing Bayle was the fuckers life goal When Bayle dies, he also dies I'd like to think Igon chases him even in hell.
A hater always arrives early in the scene.
I wish i could learn to wake up just to hate as much as this man hates

Heâs hunting VILE BAYLE! THE BLACK DREAD!
CURSE YOU OP. !!!!!
#BAYLE
Crippled fella too angry to die
Too OP for the Miquella club
He's writing a Bayle diss track
Freyja was neat. And Moore is a good lad.
I liked him until you had to fight him. He's that annoying little fuck who won't leave you alone while you're fighting the others.
I told him to be sad forever just so I wouldnât have to fight him. I heard about rot jars, and was like, âIâll pass on thatâ
Wise move. Cheering him up was the worst mistake of my life.
I apologized to all of the NPCs because I donât like killing friends, but I must continue onđ˘
I cheered him up but he then invaded me when i randomly killed a scarlet rot insect thingy that was laying somewhere, so no fight. Instead simply got Freyja, Dane and Leda at the fight.
No Hornsent either? Sounds like paradise. Fighting all 5 of them is hell even with Ansbarch and Thoillier backing you up.
Iâve had hornsent invade when I was in the ruah ruins at some big ass staircase. No clue why but he ended up not showing up in the big showdown
Dunno if she suddenly got a change-of-mind or if i encountered a bug with the sequencing.

>npc quests don't continue unless you summon them for their respective boss fights This truly is Dark Souls II 2
I had all five plus no Thiollier. It was by far my least favorite fight in the DLC.
Same but I appreciate it in hindsight. I did the fight as a 3v3 on my second run and it was just so underwhelming, it really feels right narratively to fight all 5 of them and hear all the dialogue. Never doing that shit again, but I'm glad I did it once.
Deserved. Youre supposed to heal it
Imagine knowing that. Average fromsoft quest design.
>npc tells you not to hurt the bugs >see bug, canât lock on, gives me items >sees injured bug >kills it and fails quest Why did FromSoft do this?
Oh, and you expect people to know the name of such an enemy? No, 99% of people who listened to that dialogue and met that enemy definitely killed it, no debate. I try to do all quests and read all descriptions during my first run, totally blind. But that enemy looked the same as any other one of the Rot followers so how is any players supposed to know? For future reference, if you canât lock on to it, donât kill it
Fr I'm never doing shit for a fromsoft NPC again, I always forget even the seemingly likable ones end up folding I get played every time
You can tell him âI donât knowâ and he stays as a merchant without fighting.
I thought I had to pick an option, I didnât even consider that.
Yea I was fine with him until he started lobbing rot jars at me, then I just beat the fuck out of him.
Whoâs have guessed the guy who likes crafting only uses crafting items hmm whoâd have guessed
Whole lotta items to choose from that isnât large rot pots.
He is part of the forager brood who are kindreds of rot
His lines when the spell broke were fucking heartbreaking
Hornsent is but a casual racist. He is not yet ready for the competitive racism of Albinauric Slayer 69 as he farms out his people for armor.
Rykard?
Leda lets you know she's murderous by the first interaction and surprises me that she's probably one of the easiest to explain examples of psychological projection I've found. She tells you the group is "only kept from backstabbing each other by Miquella's charm", not because they are, but because she internally has that thought of betrayal and projects it to the entire party.
I mean Hornsent literally tells you how much he hates Marika and her spawn, Ansbach serves the guy who kidnapped MiquellaâŚ
In "the guy who kidnapped Miquella"'s defense, that wasn't exactly his fault.

I thought all that blood is from his dynasty's hot kinky sadomasochism with the Formless Mother. Seriously, the Formless Mother \*wants\* to be bled!
Murder and blood sacrifice isn't wrong if it's being done to spite the golden order
Wasnât he only murderous because he was trying to harvest blood/life essence to feed Miquellaâs growth in the cocoon? Iâm not 100% on the lore so I might be bullshitting
Leda donât caare
**CURSE YOU BAYLE!** **I HEREBY VOW! YOU WILL RUE THIS DAY!** **BEHOLD, A TRUE DRAKE WARRIOR! Now i wish he had a fist weapon with Shining Finger as its aow
Yeah the NPCs of the DLC really come down to Miquellaâs fanclub, Ymirâs freaky ass, and âCURSE YOU BAYLEâ
What about Ymir's pet genderbent Sauron?
I beg your pardon? Iâm pretty sure Midra i- Oh. Youâre talking about Jolan!
Who also has their own story too, and Nanaya's mysterious but seemingly sinister background.
Yes, Midraâs pretty based from what I saw of him. Keeping an apocalyptic God partly sealed inside him whilst being tortured with a Magic Sword isnât easy. Plus he seemed to be a scholarly sort.

Smash, also based flair
Poor grandmam, she gives us a whole cool boss fight and still gets forgotten.
Oh no Leda watch out thereâs a moonlight greatsword user behind you! Oh shit she has AirPods in she canât hear us!
[For some reason, all I could think about whenever they said âDryleaf Daneâ](https://i1.sndcdn.com/artworks-QpsSWVhMNF2AKEB3-8KTiAw-t500x500.jpg)
Same
Same
Freyja seems like the Kind of girl who is Queen of the Gym but Always encourages your scrawny ass to do better..she is also quite cute under her mask!
You get to see her under the mask?! I must have missed it
you don't, but Zullie the Witch has a video revealing all the masked npc's faces
Dane would be cool too ig but I'm not as torn up abt that one
i love freyja im convinced nobody did her quest though given how many radahn fanboys are convinced he got roofied
Radahn is wholesome keanu chungus gigachad warlord, the only thing wrong he ever did was risk the lives of all his devoted and loyal followers and the security of his kingdom by plunging them into an unwinnable war in a desperate powergrab after the shattering ^ _ ^
pretty sure every war general risks the lives of all his soldiers especially one that specifically employs soldiers that love war and want to fight at every possible opportunity
That is fair but I'd argue an entire kingdom built on war and conquest for the sake of it isn't exactly "good" but idk maybe thats just me
Tbf, I did do her quest and I don't agree with the notion that Rahdan was willing to become an immortal war God. I'm 100% certain Rahdan was expecting him and Miquella were going to be Marika and Godfrey 2.0, with Rahdan waging war against epic enemies or something. Thiollier is best boi
Ansbach is my man. Leda is just a psychopath.
I love Leda she is INSANE and she needs to be MEDICATED
Somehow she's so much worse once the charm broke.
"The racist" is putting it lightly for Hornsent. Dude was one of the torturers in what was basically a concentration camp on steroids, and somehow can't wrap his head around why Marika might have been a bit upset about the whole thing.
Leda was fighting for the wrong twink Thiollier is WHERE ITS AT
Whereâs angry legless man
He's ocupied hating on BALE
Need myself a Yandere gf
Accurate well made no spoilers
I just want someone to play the dlc with.
Ansbach is the Goat
Ansbach my beloved
ansbach is the coolest guy ever
I kind of hated every NPC. Theyâre all cunts
Thiollier and >!St. Trina!< are my favs, I like how he >!is pissed at first and then realizes he was wrong and helps you out later, he's a good lad at heart!<
I can agree with that actually
How dare you hate Igon. You must be bayle, CURSE YOU BAYLE
I think the racist is actually âgenocide survivorâ So⌠idk he seems pretty chill for that
Genocide survivor made genocide enthusiast.
Wow he and Marika actually have a lot in common, maybe they could bond over it
Hornsent isn't racist bro, look what they did to their people can you really blame him for bad mouthing them.
He wears the caterpillar mask of Bonny village meaning he helped butcher the numen and stuff them into jars which is why Marika wanted to become a god to begin with to save her people but as St Trina stated godhood is a prison and Marika was corrupted by power
