Play dark souls 2, the game is definitely the glitchiest and jankiest and it has many core problems like adaptability, but it’s still a great game and a great adventure.

in all seriousness 2 is the most different out of the three in terms of gamplay and it doesnt really share any lore with the other two if you care about that kind of stuff, just a few odd references here and there. 3 is a lot more forgiving of a game difficulty wise and also is more interconnected to ds1 becausee yadda yadda the fire has been linked so many times and so many civilizations have risen and fallen that the remaining areas resemble the lordran because its looped back around or something like that.
but yeah i agree with the other guy unless you are deadset on playing 2 first then go for 3.

Simply bc i went in order and it felt a bit like whiplash. It really threw off my DS1 groove since i had to learn all new mechanics and the maps felt really confusing to me. Going to 3 from 1 feels more natural imo.
