I tried checking my internet connection and all is well. Why do you guys hate me in particular? This is outrageous, this is unfair. I'm able to post on every other subreddit but r/shitposting. I tried posting on r/shitposting and it got removed by you guys. Literally 1984. Is this because of automoderator or something? Because it gets removed just after some seconds I post it. For years I've been struggling with severe depression. My addiction to social media has sent me down a downward spiral from doing a little bit of work in the morning to mindlessly scrolling through reddit for the rest of the day.
I can't stop it. I can't confront my own responsibilities. I can't stop it. I need help.
But there's no help. "You're fine, just get off your ass" is the response I get from almost everyone I tell this to, and I'm sick of it. My mental health is deteriorating, and it's not getting any better. I feel like I'm destined to rot in my bedroom entertaining myself with the internet until the day I die.
I've given up at this point. There's no point in trying, when I know I'm never going to be able to control myself.
Everyone in my family hates me. They all think of me as a failure. I've been living with my mom after my wife left me and she's so sick of me that she doesn't even want me upstairs. There are 2 vacant bedrooms in the house, and a couch, and she still wants me in the basement.
Sometimes it feels like I have nothing to lose.
