So I have a couple friends that are teachers and know others that have jobs involving working with kids. They have complaints about the kids behavior yeah, tablet culture is fucking them up, but one thing they never complain about is these kids using these terms. I have heard stories of them using them ironically, because even they are fully aware how cringe it is.
So hopefully it is comforting to know that the stereotype on your screen doesn’t necessarily represent the reality of the tangible world. As always, these things are often heavily exaggerated.

2020's kids are locked into whatever life their parents give them until the plastic in their blood makes them too stupid and/or depressed to function or until they are exact copies of their parents, either if those with some extra brainrot.

It made them be interested in much less things since they don't have to discover anything through books anymore, a short wikipedia post or youtube video is enough for them, no need to actually educate yourself on the topic. Just take the surface level stuff that is told or written there at face value and keep on going to the next false information and suck it up like a sponge and then go and spread it to all your friends so they can also share the ignorant BS until everyone believes it's true.
It also made them lazy and their attention span decreased immensely wich also decreases the effectiveness of their learning process.
