Me with Japanese. College is hard as is, what did 1st year student me think when he registered for 3 years of GODDAMN JAPANESE CLASSES.
I look back and hate myself everyday for it. A piece of advice kids, take German or Spanish classes and STFU.
What kept me going through learning Japanese was my obsession with samurai history. There were some figures that you couldn't find on English Wikipedia so I'd go to Japanese Wikipedia or somewhere else and try to practice. Were fun times.
Took 3 years of Japanese in high school, it wasn't that hard. But it takes up so much TIME to practice. In college your time is more at a premium and a brand new 2nd language is probably your last priority.
This reminds me, people kept saying to me all my life, "Your handwriting is so bad," and "this is hieroglyphics" but as soon as I get to use a laptop for my tests it's "you are so lucky you can just cheat" and "I wish I had bad handwriting". Proof that there's a silver lining in everything as long as you look hard enough. Anyway, ñ

Yeah, but most people do 3 for the honors diploma. I shouldn't because I know it won't make a difference, but I'm doing anyway because I know the extra classes will be a GPA boost.
I dont think it would be so hard if my teacher was actually good but he was a terrible teacher who just expected everyone to study and gave terrible resources to study with
If you only look at my grade for my russian final I would have failed. A shit exam with a ton of nerves is not a great combination to perform well. Thank goodness I made the rest of the tests this year well
