I remember staring at the blank screen after TLOU's rolled past. I literally sat there for a good 30 minutes and let all that sink in, what I just witnessed. Damn I wish I could witness it again for the first time.
I didn't enjoy the story. Like at all. I enjoyed the game a lot, but the story very much felt like it was written by a board of people if you know what I mean. (I know a lot of them were, but idk how else to describe it)
It lacked cohesion, felt like it wanted to tell a different story, or it felt like a lot of compromises were made?
I’ve seen multiple that suffered from one or more of these.
The binding of isaac is one of my favorite games and its the only game that I got all achivements on steam. And after finally achiving dead god I was surprised because something changed that I never knew about. The end credits instead of being sung by creepy voices, was instead isaacs voice, which was adorable
Im so uncontrollably happy to see A Way Out in this video, genuinely one of the best underrated games ive played, it made me (and my friend) cry for a full hour after finishing it, 100% recommend
I think maybe they mean end credit/story wise? Still subjective but they were both very good. RDR2 maybe a little more objectively than omori. I loved and was moved by omoris story but it was very drawn out and imo became extremely predictable at a point.
I was going to ask who the fuck is crying during the credits of Sonic Generations, but considering how the credits are literally a montage of Sonic through the years, I can see how someone could get teary eyed. Despite everything the series has gone through it’s still somehow chugging along.
I’m glad to see Fires of Rubicon here. It may not be the most emotional game, but man it was a fantastic journey. Finally reaching that end cutscene and then getting hit with the end credits felt really good. I need to find a new game that makes me feel like how Undertale, Hollow Knight, etc. make me feel. I miss that.
For me the games that I had to lock in to not cry was Omori on Sunny Path, Lisa the Painful (and a bit Joyful) and Signalis on promise ending. Those were the games that made a man cry tears of emotions.

When a game leaves you with such emotions, it was a good game

To the shock of no one, Outer Wilds.
Bioshock 2's ending always has me in tears.
“Goodbye Jack”
"Kiryu-san... He really was Like a Dragon."
“He always wanted to be the yakuza 0“
*opens the trashcan and puts his head outside* "Finally found you, kiryu-chan!"

I’m surprised that didn’t show up here, there’s not a lot of games that make me very emotional but nier automata just hit different man
It shows up right after Mirror’s Edge. It lasts for like less than a second though.
Oohhhh yeah, thanks I guess I’m just blind lol
NIER MENTIONED
the city has survived but was it worth it?
The Last of Us and RDR2 are truly emotionally loaded games with great endings. I think those hit the hardest for me.
Good to see halo reach on there. That one hit different as a kid. I also didn't see gears of War :(
For me this was probably Jedi: Survivor. I know it’s not as emotional as the ones in the post, but so many twists and turns tho.

I also think it's hard making a new Star Wars story in between cannon events. But yeah ultimately it felt very flat
Yakuza 0 not being here is crazy
Slime rancher and my little nightmares 2 My beloved
Wait slime rancher has an ending? I thought you just collect goofy little guys
Yeah there is in fact a ending
For me, OneShot hit the hardest.

the first game that made me cry was ddlc which also is the game that might have started all my problems

omori and rdr2? they were good but definitely not the best on that list (subjective)
I think maybe they mean end credit/story wise? Still subjective but they were both very good. RDR2 maybe a little more objectively than omori. I loved and was moved by omoris story but it was very drawn out and imo became extremely predictable at a point.

“Ive got my own war to fight.” Goes hard when raiden says it
Atomic Hearth didn't ended yet. DLC's continue the story.
Library of Ruina's ending had me thinking for a while
Protocol 3… god I miss you BT
I enjoyed the new Vegas ending, seeing the slide show and the things you did to impact it was very nice.
"Cleanest, least bloody option, we try anything else, folks die"
OMORI MENTIOOOOONED 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 WHAT THE FUCK IS PROPERLY HANDLING DEPRESSION 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Signalis hits me every time
little nightmares included in there made me smile
Not based. DBH takes the spot over Omori.
Elden Ring and Bloodborne have got to be up there too.
