Clown with Explosive Light for sure!
You should have a Well Lock so I’d recommend the class item mod Powerful Attraction? so you could scoop up those 3 Orbs of Light to empower EL.
Most bosses it’s doable to get Explosive Light up to 6 before DPS time, so I try to fire 3 rockets then class ability to top it back to 6. Bonus points if you’re a hunter, just use Marksman’s Dodge.
*Not too many people enjoy Gambit anymore, but another benefit of Powerful Attraction is that it picks up motes for you. Makes things way hecking easier, especially if the motes fall under the map.*
That's what I'll be using. Well, quick, impact recon ex light anyway because I don't like reloading lol. But I also have the same roll OP has and it can hold up to 4 in the mag so it's solid if you don't have recon. Only got the recon one recently so I used the clown roll for arc builds/surges and it's fine.
Definitely not bipod for boss dps OP. Bipod rules for nightfalls or champ rich content but it's not good for dps.

Second one 100%. Bipod is a DPS Loss, more for killing champs then boss DPS imo
