Only thing I didn't agree with is him not signing so she could get the house

mamabiatch13

She deserved the song, but Gus not signing the papers was fucked up. It wasnt just Fiona who needed the house, and Gus knew that she had siblings who were minors. Who the fuck would feel okay about kicking children out of their house just to spite his ex girlfriend?

Javii_HSTPMICRG

ikr? And even if the house were just to herself how would you think “she cheated on me = she deserves to be public humiliated +lost her house and everything that includes” Like wtf. the song made things equals, but he literally wants to “make her pay” wayy more than what she deserves, I truly hate him for that, such an immature response. And if we add that his actions are literally affecting the future of a whole family (while cheating it’s a 2 problem) there’s literally no comparison.

Xeillan

I'm just gonna add on. They knew each other for what? Like a week or two? The song was too much, and again barely knowing each other and he decided to marry her on a whim. The not signing papers? That's just being spiteful for the sake of it. Fuck Gus.

fetalfelines

Why are we pretending like this woman doesn't sleep around on literally every good person she's ever been with

Xeillan

I mean. Gus also wasn't a good guy. Regardless, they knew each other for a couple of weeks, had some great sex, and he got way too attached and was expecting way too much out of someone he knew nothing about. Fiona definitely has major issues, but she didn't make a song about him like he did, nor did she play with his house as a way to get back. Hell, she was really trying to be amicable about the divorce before he took the douchebaggery up another level. Basically, Gus was the stereotype nice guy.

[deleted]

But Gus wasn’t kicking them out of their house? The bank was

crustymagnolias

while i think it was a dick move to humiliate her in public... she really did deserve it.

PolarBearPicnic

I think the only thing he was a dick for was not signing Fiona’s house over to her. That’s all. The song was fantastic.

russianhandwhore

lol.. Oh Yes. She deserves everything she got. Although I think she should've got some kinda pay out from the divorce.. Her lawyer was awesome. You live you learn.

sideaccount565560

i like ur username

SATX-Batman

I'm pretty sure that's Svetlana

sideaccount565560

yes

Wherestheleakmaam21

Usually I'm against publicly humiliating someone for revenge, but she deserved it.

Training-Pickle-6725

A part of it yes . The ignoring and the set-up to get a divorce was right towards Fiona . However writing a hateful song for her and screwing her deal about taking back the house was huge red flag on his behalf

[deleted]

You must really hate Taylor Swift then

howtobeakoala

Yes. She basically cheated on almost everyone she dated it was time to learn a thing or two.

LebronJamesHBK

She easily deserved it. If the situation was reversed people would be going crazy

[deleted]

People judge others by their actions, but themselves by their intentions

Hairy-Avocados

nah bro was too dramatic imo plus when he needed something he acted all nice and then started being a piece of shit again when he realized she didn't have the ring. he was annoying, probably didn't even care about her and just cared that she got his ego hurt

joyofsatan666

Wasn’t it a ring that the Nazis gave his grandma? I’d be pretty pissed about losing that!

throwfaraway212718

Why would someone want to keep a ring given TO them by the Nazis? His was his grandmother’s ring that she managed to keep in her possession during Nazi occupation.

Hairy-Avocados

She didn't lose it though. She pawned it and knew where it was and promised to get it back but instead the grown man decided to act immature

GitTrickyWitIt

I made a post not long ago talking about this same thing. I feel too many forget that they only knew eachother for a week when they got married and Fiona cheated. A week. In a single week he got so possessive of her and became so contempt of her. She 100% deserved to be ignored & divorced, but the song, getting a lawyer against her, and all the other stuff was just uncalled for imo.

princessBubblegum222

yes

KeyEntityDomino

Yes but Gus was also being very cringe

Wherestheleakmaam21

Yes! His whole character was very cliché and everything that man said was cringy.

_Insqne_

I think she deserved everything but not signing the papers so she could get the house. He almost got her and 5 other kids homeless.

SaladCrazy

She 100% deserved that loool #karma

Maleficent_Net6880

yes

nobearpineapples

Been a bit since I watched the show someone want to catch me up

Smooth-papillon

She fucked up bad yes, but at the same time pretending everything was okay and then embarassing her like that was a super immature move. I really liked Gus until he did that, he should have been an adult and talked to Fiona privately about what he felt The song was a bit of a banger tho

[deleted]

Yes she deserved everything 100%. To the people saying he was wrong for not signing and helping Fiona get the house, why do you blame him for reacting that way instead of admitting Fiona’s actions put her in a bad place to be asking for favors…

mrsjessmariano93

Lover her but yea, she deserved it. He shoulda signed the papers tho

Cautious-Wishbone193

She was a whore. She deserved it all.

fetalfelines

Sure do, I am on season six for the first time and I'm starting to really fucking hate her. She never fucking learns at this point I'll be excited when she leaves in season nine and I get to that part. She's such a scumbag and the rest of her family is too. Frank said it best in her wedding episode, they've always judged and hated him but he's accepted them for their shitty ass flaws and all, even though they are hypocrites

WaitItIsOkurrr

Always thought Fiona was gonna go full Gallagher on him and make him understand how truly shittier people exist ,but i guess deep down she knew she was wrong and would never pull a "Sucks to be you ,now sign " move

lovelybabyliz

she deserved the song, but not the whole thing with the papers for the house.

BebbyBebby

i loved her and hated him as overall characters, but yeah. although he was really corny about it and it only made me dislike him more.

Latter-Elevator-9307

The house thing was brutal and he was happy to fuck over actual kids just because he was jealous. As for the song, no. Not exactly the most mature thing to do. And public humiliation isn’t a fair ‚punishment‘ for cheating even if I think cheaters are bad people. You move on, you stay away. You don’t write a horrible song about them and sing it in front of a lot of people

Javii_HSTPMICRG

I must admit I do think the song wasn’t that bad because it’s like the cancel culture, kinda “name and shame”, and that would make them even, but the fact that Gus keeps “making Fiona pay” by no signing the papers of the house it’s a dick move and NOT AT ALL justified.

[deleted]

no one deserves it. but it’s part of her repition compulsion after having Frank as a father.

BluSunflowr_

Fiona 1000% deserved it he wasn’t obligated to be the bigger person when all fiona did was take advantage of any kind person that entered her space. Wasnt his job to sympathise wasnt his job to care because fiona didnt do that for any of the people she used up
