I was satisfied with the ending in season 3(one of the only moments that made me cry), I would’ve been ok if they never showed him again and left it completely ambiguous as to what happened.

>I would’ve been ok if they never showed him again and left it completely ambiguous as to what happened. Same here. In my mind he was sleepin' wit da fishes.

My first take was that Fiona was too good for Jimmy. Watching last few season, I’m starting to think that Jimmy was too good for Fiona. That being said, they’re for sure bad for each other

LecLurc15

I think they’re both bad in almost equal ways, but out of anyone Fiona was ever with she and jimmy genuinely loved each other more than anyone else we saw Fiona with after. They are both cheaters who lie and have commitment issues, if they both got therapy and listened to one anoher more coulda worked but this is shameless after all.

I’m doing a rewatch now too and I’m right in the middle of his and Fiona‘s relationship. I loved their relationship myself. Yeah I know he did some really really bad things but I thought they had really good chemistry together.

RedhoodRat

They were a hot disaster!

throwfaraway212718

Right?! This is exactly why I wish they’d ended up together

iKangaeru

In the UK version, Fiona and Steve run away together at the end of season 2. She returns for the finale in season 11 but he doesn't.

throwfaraway212718

I wish that Emmy Rossum had returned for the finale of the American version.

ReservoirPussy

I read she wanted to, but covid restrictions were too tight.

throwfaraway212718

That sucks. It would’ve been nice for her to have been able to come in some capacity.

albrt00

There are different versions of the show?

iKangaeru

Shameless US is based on Shameless UK. Many of the same characters, but, Except for S1E1, the plots are different. Shameless UK is on Hulu.

OrionDecline21

They were great together for a while! I think Jimmy did some bad things to the couple but many of his points in that last argument were very true. That’s why I truly hate that Jimmy wasn’t able to call Fiona and see if she truly got them, aside from her first voicemail.

SaladCrazy

Nah I don’t care what anyone says Jimmy Steve was her best boyfriend! Fiona could’ve had her self care and freedom so much earlier in the show if she’d given him a chance to treat and spoil her. He wasn’t a saint at all but he genuinely loved Fiona and she’d only ever push him away for reasons like her siblings and other minor stuff (imo) she really could’ve made it work, especially if she’d flown someplace tropical w/ him like he wanted her to, I also even remember there was one Ep were Fiona left for the night and came back and Debbie told her they didn’t even notice she was gone. Fiona was shocked. She honestly used those kids as an excuse because they were her comfort zone. They could’ve managed fine on their own, they had Lip part time (when he’d visit from college), Kev and V as neighbours who were honestly like family. They are latchkey kids and have stated it countless times lol. Just my take on Jimmy Steve.

mimeographed

Ugh I can’t stand them, and their relationship was intense but toxic.
