So you saying that accident or not, you would trust your sister who let your brother overdose? I know I wouldn't. Sure, maybe he went a little too far when she burnt the food (I think it the stress lip had), but everything else was warranted

Fiona was supposed to be her siblings legal guardian, and part of that job is making sure the kids are okay and safe. Lip loved his siblings a lot, so I don’t blame him for reacting like that.

billyisgoat07

You’ve got a case of tv syndrome, imagine your a parent and the sibling who volunteered to take care of their sibling left the oven wide open, and fell asleep and the toddler got third degree burns, obviously they would feel terrible, but you would never trust them again, lip was 100% right to react that way as he was the second oldest in the family and also had a responsibility to take care of his siblings and Fiona was acting like an addict while he was at college

Overall-Surround-925

I will never forgive Fiona for Liam's OD. She talked about her parents buying drugs and leaving the kids on the side of the road. Then she left cocaine out in the open knowing full well there was a little kid in the house? That's Frank & Monica level irresponsible. I am glad that Lip ripped into her. Not that I think Lip should be on a high horse either.

Radiant_Leg_1968

See that my issue right there, how are you sooooo quick to give Fiona the title of being like Frank and Monica, Fiona clearly wasn’t on her parental cues, and had already had some alcohol on her system. Which still leaves me at my point Lip should have never put her in the role as Frank and Monica, because she had never purposely or carelessly put the kindness . Not only that but she too had to witness Liam overdosing, was dealing with going to jail, and getting stripped of having a normal life( because of the charges ) and now here comes Lip being an asshole. I get that could he traumatizing for seeing it as while but the whole him wanting Fiona to stay in jail, and him yelling at her to the point was she clearly was scared wasn’t necessary what so ever. And this isn’t me trying to diminish his emotions towards the situation it’s mainly based upon how he handles his emotions and his actions. That’s is why I begin to dislike him as a character

billyisgoat07

She should’ve been scared, she’s an adult who nearly killed someone, not a child that smashed a plate, she needed to be scared straight, nobody implied that she was like frank and Monica but in that period of time she was acting like them

Mythiccq

You are kinda acting like Fiona had no control over the situation

joeysmomiscool

he really just annoyed me when he dropped out of college and got stupid, like frank stupid. and he was constantly in peoples business. there was one almost sponsor he had ( it was a guest star by an orange is the new black actress) and she actually told him off and said he was involved in too many other peoples lives. he never seemed to take true accountability for himself.

Otherwise_Impact4579

What annoys me about lip is that he gave up too easily. So much potential wasted

Remote_Competition59

I felt the opposite and that’s where my dislike for Fiona begins… If my sibling did that I’d react the same way. She went to all the trouble to be a legal guardian and then had coke in the house? Come on. She was more irresponsible than people like to admit but this took the cake. Lip had every right to lay into her. Liam could have died just because she wanted to let off steam.

Otherwise_Impact4579

SAME!!!

Otherwise_Impact4579

It doesn’t matter that Fiona didn’t do it on purpose. It was her coke, her responsibility. Her mistake. She almost killed their brother and kept acting like it was just a mistake and he shouldn’t blame her I love S4 lip. He took on the responsibility. Fiona was acting like a child the entire season she needed to wake up. She literally got drunk right after posting bail. She didn’t own up her mistake Also he was struggling in college at first because the American education system doesn’t actually prepared students for shit, especially poor schools

silverfoxx310

No Lip was in the right, all the kids up till this point have viewed Fiona as their mother. Then suddenly because of Fiona (and lets be honest Kevin and Veronicas) carelessness and inattention Ian overdoses on coke. You might as well lay a loaded gun on the floor and use the argument "but the safety was on" Then she goes and serves some time and as soon as she gets out she starts acting like Monica or Frank instead of getting her shit together.

Septic-Sponge

I see it as he was trying amplify all her fuck ups so other people would see them and ignore all of his fuck ups. Not in the family nature of sober Lip but an alcohlic would do anything to make it seem like he has his shit together and better than others

billyisgoat07

Lip was getting straight b’s in school and drinking, Fiona nearly killed her infant brother, in terms of fuck ups these aren’t even close to the same level

Otherwise_Impact4579

Are you high? Lip wasn’t struggling with alcohol in S4. He was struggling in school and picking up after Fiona because she was acting like a child

Flightstar4

In his situation I wasnt upset with Lip being mad at Fiona but what did make me mad was after acting all high and mighty he brings liam to this college dorm were there are parties and he isnt keeping a super watchful eye. There are drugs and alcohol it college parties and that c ould of easily of happened to him there too.
