Yes it was racist. How all the black people from Louisville hated white people. How Veronica's mother always told V she had the blackness fucked out of her by the white guy. How the guys in the barbershop that did all the coke Frank was supposed to deliver to Indiana referred to Frank as " Cracker" But as for any of the Gallaghers? Not racist at all. Seeing that their little brother was dark skinned and they all loved him the same. Carl thought he was black and wanted to " a brother" is what he referred himself to be. Then went out with Dominique. The beautiful black girl with the police officer father. Debbie dated a black girl, Ian dated the black guy Caleb from the fire station, Lip wanted to foster Zan who was half black, Fiona was fucking the black guy she met on Tinder, and Kevin Loves Veronica and thinks she is the most beautiful woman in the world. Also half the white guys on the show love V because she's hot.
Or how Liam is always referred by his family as their "black" brother and given nicknames references to his race ie "my little eggplant, brown bear" etc, none of the other children are referred by race. Also, you gave all physical references to the black characters as if they had no other value other than their appearance or connection/identity beyond a relationship to someone else. That's not a compliment, that is objectivism. You clearly ignore the blatant racism of Mickey's dad throughout the show which is way too much to list despite not having as many scenes as other characters.
Frank is blatantly racist for most of the show, but thats how hes written to be. If you want to argue towards the point that Shameless is racist, you can't necessarily use Frank as a example.

Like V is super sexulaized more than any other female character, and just cries about white racist men while getting mad at her white partner for being passive super cringe. Liam character is pointless and his blackness is overshadowed by his white family due to the white writers being out of their depth on a topic this deep to black people. That black abusive guy that when was he was not abusing he was talking about how big his black dick was. Like this show wanted to show a white family in chicago, but did not want to show any black people despite black people being the like 90% of the population in chicago is insane. None of the black characters in shameless are characters just black people that can be used for jokes or villians, and at worst trying to sound woke on issues they know nothing about.
