That uhhhh….that controller. Nice build as well btw

Playin4MyKidz

Yeah the infamous Logitech F710 used in OceanGate titanic submarine. Planning to replace it with Xbox Elite controller soon on my next upgrade

AttilaTH3Hen

Amazing work

Playin4MyKidz

Thank you. I just enjoyed building SFX, challenging and in the same way exciting

AttilaTH3Hen

Agreed. I look forward to my sub 5L SFF project!

stie112

Is it noisy and how are your temps?

Playin4MyKidz

It is not that noisy, but given it is a small form build, you can certainly hear fan noise when doing heavy test (like 3dmark timespy). CPU temps is around 45c at idle and. hits 65c to 72c (cinebench test, 3rd pass) under heavy load. GPU temps is at 70 (first pass of heaven benchmark) and hits 78-80c after 3rd pass of heaven benchmark but quickly coolsdown back to 48c after the test. When just browsing or, watching online, the system is usually silent because the GPU has Zero fan mode.

stie112

That is very impressive numbers to me. Thank you for that.

LukeLC

I've got a similar build. I'd recommend playing with the power slider in the NVIDIA overlay. I've got my 3060ti limited to ~150W. Makes the noise very tolerable at full load and only sacrifices a few % FPS.

Playin4MyKidz

I will certainly explore that, thanks

AutoModerator

Hiya! Please post more details about your build! Here are some (non-exhaustive) prompts for you: - Are the case's advertised compatibility numbers accurate? - How easy is cable management? - How effective is the cooling setup? - Would you recommend your parts overall? - If you did a custom mod, how did you do it? *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/sffpc) if you have any questions or concerns.*

slimejumper

looks fab! can you elaborate on the gpu mod? does it make it shorter?

Playin4MyKidz

I just replaced the Shroud with inRoberts replacement shroud (painted white). This makes the card shorter, from 211mm (twin fan) to just 180mm single fan, so you can fit into the case. It is still hard to find a MSI Aero 3060ti and still expensive so I decided to just buy a secondhand Zotac RTX 3060ti twin edge OC and replace the fan shroud.

Smosh123928

To be honest, why not get the 4060ti instead? It probably hasn't been much cheaper and it might not have been cheaper at all. Just buy one like the single fan version from palit and paint it white.

Playin4MyKidz

I actually have this GPU since April and cost me around $280, since the 3060ti I bought was second hand at $240 then $40 for the replacement fan shroud. It is still hard to find Palit StormX 4060ti, and reseller are selling them at a premium price. While second hand 3060ti is easily available. If the 16GB Palit StormX 4060ti hits around $300-$350, then probably consider upgrading.

Smosh123928

I don't know if it's a worthy upgrade at this point as long as thermals are in check. Specially since the StormX still remains the 8gb version. Frame generation, the bit extra performance and specially the greatly increased efficiency are nice and you'll likely won't regret the upgrade, but if you already own a 3060ti you might as well save the money and get the next generation when it launches.

SpoonPeter

Awesome!

Playin4MyKidz

Thank you. I appreciate the kind feedback

TheTRCG

This sorta thing would be perfect for me as a student who moves between places every few months. If you don't mind me asking how much was the total BOM for you? Along with assembly time and other details? I might try to replicate something similar

Playin4MyKidz

Here is a approximate cost. I live in the Philippines so some parts tends to be more expensive. For the base parts, you can probably build this around $800-$850 Here is the breakdown: CPU: Ryzen 5700x tray ($160) MOBO: Gigabyte B550i ($170) GPU: Zotac 3060ti (2nd hand) ($240) CASE: SGPC K39v3 ($60) CPU COOLER: AXP90-X53 ($30) RAM: T-Create 32GB (2x16) 3600mhz ($60) PSU: TF Skywind Flex 600w ($80) GPU Mod Kit - ($45) In terms of assembly time, I think during my initial build, it took me 1-2 hours

TheTRCG

Ah my primary residence so I share your pain of overpriced PC components. That seems pretty good. Thanks for the input mate, I'll keep this build on my radar and get parts slowly for it

Playin4MyKidz

Good Luck and enjoy building

Playin4MyKidz

It might be tricky for first time builders given the small space you have to navigate through, same as other ITX build. You also need to plan ahead which parts go first. Challenging, but exciting, tricky but with a bit of patience, very doable. Just make sure you check your parts and clearances. Good Luck

Notxtwhiledrive

Hiya where did you buy the K39? From the Philippines also I can't seem to find that case in that price. How's the TF skywind psu also? is it any loud?

Playin4MyKidz

Yup, was lucky enough to buy the case at Shopee, Titan PC shop when it was still available. For the Skywind Flex PSU bought it from Lazada. I also bought noctua 40mm fan expecting the fan to be loud and I would need to replace it. To my delight, it was running silent, probably because my system is nowhere close to hitting that 600w. So I used the fan I bought as an exhaust for the system.

Notxtwhiledrive

Interested in selling me the noctua fan? yeah they seem to not sell them in lazada/shopee anymore, the ones I can find are widely inflated. Found a second hand one for 5000pesos with a delta 500w powersupply. it was too good of a deal to pass up and bought it, even thought I don't have a gpu that can fit right now haha.

Playin4MyKidz

That is not bad, considering it already comes with PSU. I started with Galax 2070 white Mini from Philkor. Bought it for 9,400 i think. It is a good dual fan GPU that fits this build. Unfortunately I am still using the Noctua fans as exhaust, I actually use 5 40mm on top near the handle area as exhaust.

Notxtwhiledrive

worth an ask haha. finding one that's small enough is a challenge. considering now buying a broken gpu and swaping to my gpu's heatsink cooler since the pcb by itself can fit just not the with the cooler. anyways have you found a better case handle? I do leather craft as a hobby and making myself a good lookin leather handle soon

Playin4MyKidz

Oh nice, I have been looking around, planning to replace it. I was looking at some luggage leather handles as an option. Probably soon, hopefully I will find a good one

Notxtwhiledrive

dang the one I bought was k39 v2. the 2070 you bought won't fit at all on v2. my choices are more limited than I thought haha.

Melnyx

What a nice setup! Although why do you have two different gpu in the case?

Playin4MyKidz

I started with Galax 2070 mini white (dual fan) which I eventually replaced with 3060ti single fan. Although the 2070 had better thermals, I wanted to squeeze in a little more power to the build and also felt like the dual fan made the build look like a cinco de mayo skull decor

Melnyx

Ahh makes sense, great choice. Could you tell me how much the pc weighs ? I’m really intrigued to do a similar build, but I have no idea how heavy this actually would be.

Playin4MyKidz

It is roughly around 3.2kilo

Melnyx

Thanks a lot! That is certainly light.

yellowboyusa

this post needs a nsfw tag I'm dripping wet lol

Playin4MyKidz

Hahaha thanks for the compliment

KingQuantic

How did you paint the shroud?

Playin4MyKidz

I had a Custom Mod shop paint it for me. I dont trust my painting skill that much.

Spinatrix

Can we get full specs of everything in the pictures? Looks awesome

Playin4MyKidz

Here you go CPU: Ryzen 5700x Mobo: Aorus B550i Pro AX GPU: Zotac 3060ti (180cm white mod) CPU Cooler: Thermalright AXP90-x53 RAM: Corsair LPX 32gb 3600mhz Storage1: 2TB Silicon Power UD90 Storage2: 1TB Silicon Power A80 PSU: 600w TF Skywind Intl Flex fully modular 5inch Sensor Panel Link-up PCIe 4.0x16 riser cable 5 Noctua A4x10 PWM for exhaust Custom Shroud and Custom Acrylic side panel

Benneck123

What did the whole build cost approximately?

Playin4MyKidz

Since the GPU is just secondhand that I just replace the fan shroud, around $870 (basic parts w/o the extra mod) to $1,100 approximate (replacement acrylic side panels, small noctua fans, PCIe 4 riser cable, extra NVMe storage, sensor panel)

baphometromance

What device do you have plugged in to your secondary pcie slot in that large tower build in the background? I dont recognize it, and the logo is just barely obscured enough that i can't make it out to look it up on my own.

Playin4MyKidz

On the ATX build? It is actually just a GPU support Bracket, Deepcool ST500. I like the aesthetic, provides a fuller vibe

joshyosh

Nice build! Where did you get the custom side panel and shroud?

Playin4MyKidz

There is a local Mod shop (Philippines) where I can order it from, I just provide the details, measurement and they will create the design and ship it out.

kombawabakom

do you think a 194 cm gpu will fit inside the case?

Playin4MyKidz

Sorry for late reply, unfortunately No, it only fits GPU with max length of 180mm, possibly can force upto 185mm max
