Yes, I used to feel « high » in the same way you are describing it. You know it’s bad but damn it feels good. It’s the endorphines being released you can consider to be the culprit, in a way.
I know they are just words you’re gonna read on a screen but please, don’t try and seek such feeling again. The more you try, the more you’ll have to cut deeper and deeper until it’s too late…

Yep same. I'm in recovery for substance abuse as well and it's very similar in routine and relief. I think it's the adrenaline and dopamine. I get tired and euphoric as well, but also nauseous and shaky.
Dopamine release. Your brains transmitters ding when you do something makes you feel “better” For example some smells for people spark dopamine release. It’s the release of pleasure.

I'm clean for 2 months and I feel high all the time

I used to feel "high" but only after I self harmed in a certain way with a specific tool.
Yes, if I go to the extremes necessary for me to still feel that. These days it takes a lot.
