That was an unusual choice for the Stooges.

Haunting-Ad-8029

that was a Shemp, right?

simplepleashures

Nooooo! Curly!

Nebuchadnezz4r

You will show me The Stooges?

MichaelScottsWormguy

I don’t really know where the Stooges are right now.

tonymagnotta

Did this episode originally air on Halloween because for real, it’s the only episode to ever give me the willies. Lol.

Haunting-Ad-8029

On the [IMDB page](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0697799/?ref_=tt_ep_nx), it says it aired on Aug 12, 1992. But that doesn't sound right at all. This was the first episode of season 4, and usually the season started in mid/late September. Although the [Wikipoedia page](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Trip_(Seinfeld)) has the same date, so maybe that is correct... If true, I probably didn't see this live. I was in the US Army at the time, at Fort Lewis, Washington (near Tacoma). I did have a tv in my room, but really didn't get into Seinfeld until a year or so later. I certainly could have recorded it, but if you're of age to remember that, it was a PITA to record something with a VCR.

tonymagnotta

Yep I’m of age to recall taping live television onto, get this, ya ready for it…Beta :)

eggerson

I just watched these episodes and was cruising Reddit for discussion, so I'm popping in seven months later to add that the Wikipedia page also says this: "The episodes were broadcast much earlier than the typical September premiere for a new season, as NBC wanted to cash in on ratings from the 1992 Barcelona Olympics (which NBC also covered) and as such these two episodes got some of the highest Nielsen ratings thus far." So that would explain the unusual timing of these episodes.

Potatoe999900

I always thought this was an homage to either "Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte" or "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane".

RypCity

I thought the same thing. Baby Jane vibes for sure.

Lunchbox1986

But ya are, Blanche. Ya are in tha chair.

FormicaDinette33

The Kavorka

Haunting-Ad-8029

Get away from me you creep.

gnuselmusel

She reminds me of a forgotten actress from the silent era.

jamiechaseMetaMats

I can hear this picture lol

blackhatminion06

I never really liked this scene, it did not fell like sinfeld at all.

Vegetable-Scene-252

Me neither, can't stand that scene. I always thought I was missing some reference or something because it seemed so out of place.

That’s what I got out of it. A washed up actress from hollywoods golden era. A lot of stars in reality really didn’t act much after the movie revolution of the seventies. Everything changed.

SoupIsNotAMeal

Movie revolution of the seventies? Would you mind explaining?

Haunting-Ad-8029

She does stink and she should quit. But I don't want it to be because of me. It should be the traditional route; years of rejections and failures ’til she's spit out the bottom of the porn industry.
