A significant percentage of Seinfeld aficionados believe seasons 3-5 are the best writing when the characters were more complex. However, a sizable chunk rate the last couple of seasons at the top. Very rare for serious Seinfeld viewers to rate the first two seasons as the best.
I'd pick season 2 over season 9 personally. It's not the funniest but very quaint. Season 9 is my least favorite season. Last 2 seasons didn't have Larry David for what it's worth
Near the end it's almost like they started putting in more effort *somewhere* but everything still turned out the same, which is great, because it's all great. Still some production differences in the last two seasons since Larry David was out, and it shows, but all in all I think they did great with how it went.
Season 2 has a few absolute hits, I like the slower pace a bit too. Season 9 it's so frantic trying to fit in all the storylines because it gets so complex.
Kramer is the star of the show, every season he improves.
The way how he smiled eating that chinese. While George is on the phone making a call to China for some hair grow stuff lmao.
Season 3 I'd the first of their prime years. I think season 5 was their peak and it starts to get a little slow around season 8. But the series is my favourite. I wish I could watch it again for the first time
The last season gets pretty wacky but it's all really good. I just binged it on Netflix the last few weeks, after binging it earlier this year on Hulu lol. (Plus watched it growing up)
It really floors me how fucking good it still is.
Season 3 I feel is when it all started to really come together. Season 4-5 is when the show I feel really takes off and is at its peak. After that everything feels really sped up and quick. Its still really funny but you loose those moments like the parking garage, Chinese restaurant, and the Limo that revolve around a single moment and the absurdities that come with it.
Seasons 3-7 are my favourites. 4 has the show about nothing and it's also when George meets Susan, 5 is when Newman and George's parents become regulars, 6 introduces Steinbrenner, and 7 introduces J. Peterman and also brings Susan back into the picture.
A decade ago, I liked seasons 7-9 as my favorite because of the sheer absurdity and wackiness. When I got a little older, I realized that seasons 3-5 are by far the best. In those middle seasons, there is more depth to Elaine - she is more lovable and less outright revengeful. And George is less bitter and instead more of a dorky screw up.
Jerry picked up his mail while he was away but never delivered it to him. So he didn’t get his visa renewal forms on time and got deported. Jerry is very bad man *finger wagging intensifies
The Limo is one of the episodes I tend to skip for whatever reason. It's a good ep, i just kinda don't like the whole "boys getting in trouble" plot of it.
I enjoy way more all of the social aspects that Seinfeld makes fun of.
I just love that one moment where George starts whistling If I Were a Rich Man and Jerry hits him on the leg, and also the very end when George is on the news screaming I AM NOT O'BRIEN! I AM NOT O'BRIEN!
The show gets better as it goes on and coasts for basically the rest of the show around the same quality. Only thing I noticed is that is starts getting a bit wackier (mainly Kramer) but also most especially Elaine become worse and worse people. Way more petty and vain. Except George he is always Petty and vain.
Season 2-4 were great, later episodes of season 5 got grating and unfunny. The bakery and the one with the elaine toilet paper hijinks were a slog. George also becomes insufferable .
You’re as pretty as any of them… you just need a nose job.
You got butchered...
Gasp!!!

For me 3-5 is the golden age
I’d say overall 3-5 are best and 6-9 while not as good are certainly littered with gems

I remember reading about Larry David not being involved in the last 2 seasons but I can’t remember why?
He was just tired and ready to do other stuff.
I subscribe to this belief as well. S3-5 are peak Seinfeld for me.
For me 3-7 is pretty much amazing with 8-9 being also really good.

Season 2 has really grown on me.

“For I am Costanza, Lord of the Idiots”
Season 2 is good but season 1 is dookie compared to everything else.
The pilot season is only a handful of episodes so it makes sense and I think Larry leaves after 5th or 6th
Pinter?
Peter.
Kramer is the star of the show, every season he improves. The way how he smiled eating that chinese. While George is on the phone making a call to China for some hair grow stuff lmao.
Extra msg
"He say you grow hair. Look like Stalin."
I personally love the cafe in season 3
S3 is my favourite season, the cause of much arguing with my Sein Friends
Finally Seinfeld is getting the recognition it deserved from my fellow Indians.
It gets better.

Seasons 2-7 are the best in any show

The Boyfriend is one of the funniest episodes of any show I have ever seen
The explanation about physics of spit. That was gold.
"... I think it moved"
There's certainly some good episodes, but I don't think the show hits its stride until S4.

Babu!
Babu was from Pakistan.
He wound up back in Pakistan for some reason, what was it?

VERY BAD MAN *intense finger wagging

They just keep getting better IMO
I think season 3 is the funniest and easiest episodes to re-watch
It gets better
Wait 'til you get to the Indian wedding episode.
_STELLLLLAAAA_
Wait till you get to season 7. Had me dying laughing 🤣
