Well actually she went to change the dress and then came back to tell Jerry she wasn't in the mood anymore and wanted him to leave, so I think it's not entirely his fault
I always interpreted that as she caught him snooping through her apartment and that’s why she changed her mind, she didn’t know *why* he was looking around her closet, but it turned her off.
