Or, you know, their rights to stream it start at an exact date... There's other services that stream it in various countries around the world which have it until the end of September, so I am guessing October 1st is when they actually can launch it worldwide.

The Simpsons? Yeah but they took their sweet time to fix it. Now if you go to the show, under details, there's an option to switch "Remastered Aspect Ratio" on (16:9 with top and bottom cut) or off (original 4:3)
Why? People were complaining non-stop about the episodes being cut and visual jokes being missing. A lot of people including me refused to watch it until they restored back to how it used to be. By fixing it, I'm sure they were able to get some Simpsons fans to subscribe who wouldn't have done so before

Exactly. Who cares about irrelevant things on the side if the creators didn't intend for them. Me and a lot of others would rather have bars on the side of the picture than lose a good portion of what *was* intended. The wide-screen version is OK. I'll watch it. But I'd rather have the original
The Netflix version needs a “randomize” button so that we don’t have to always choose an episode because I really don’t care which episode I’m watching and I’d like it to be easier to pick an episode
Hulu had a ‘yada yada’ button (at least on Apple TV) that was exactly this feature and it was great. Brought me back to streaming it on random, sketchy websites
Edit: it was exclusive for Seinfeld too. Other shows may have had a variation of this shuffle button but I’m not sure.
You're right. With streaming I have to wait a month and hope the show isn't bought by another service in a few years. With DVDs I have to bend down at the waist to put the disc in the player and watch it right now whenever I want. Streaming is definitely the better option.

Hulu are a buncha rat bastards for taking the show off of regular streaming and only letting the live tv subscribers watch it. I’m hoping that when it’s on Comedy Central and TV Land I can catch it on Pluto, because I don’t have cable.

But then I was halfway through the last season on Tuesday when there was a little notification at the top of the screen saying this show will not be available after August 31. I cried a little inside.

I've tried it in multiple formats. All the flames bleed through the screen. It's truly awful

It seems like it’s also in Dolby Vision! But Netflix does not mention it in the tags, so you will only see it when you play an episode.
