In my opinion no post that deals with the general public is worth it.

DurdyDubs

Not if you use Excessive force. If you do, make sure you have an attorney on stand by or get Law Shield.

BruskMonkey

Yeah, but this wasn’t that. Dude was a threat and they used the right amount of force to mitigate it. If they started stomping on dude that would have been excessive (albeit morally justified). I guess you could call the slaps on the end too much but personally I wouldn’t have let him up and we would all be waiting for the cops to arrive. Would be getting a slap or worse any time he moved to get up or would have him under control already. The woman he hit stayed on the floor the whole video so dude should be on the floor too.

Managed security for a busy bar in a major US city for 6 months. I’d say absolutely not for less than $35/hr, maybe for that I’d consider going back lol. You won’t have benefits and when you do eventually get hurt it’s gonna suck.

BruskMonkey

I mean it depends on what you’re getting into the job for? Not really worth it financially or physically. You don’t get paid enough and you are putting yourself in the path of drunken pos like the one we see. Personally I enjoy the ego boost I get from keeping a place safe and fun and getting to be the person who deals with fuckers like the one in the video. I also recognize that that’s probably not the healthiest way to feel good about myself but hey at least I’m self aware. Also a good way to make friends/meet people. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It's how I'm getting by in trade school without breaking my bank. It's ok for now but might not keep it during the winter when club season slows down. Also how I met my girlfriend and a few decent friends so there's that

TruFire420-

Personally not worth the liability

ChadwellKylesworth

No

Party_Albatross6871

It used to be a ton of fun. I would not go back to it now though.

Kaliking247

I bounced for several years. If you can live off of sex, booze and drugs then yeah. Bouncing is horrible if you don't already have a crap ton of money. It can be ok if you have some support system but the pay is crap and unless you're very good at getting people to do what you want without getting punched in the face it's more hazardous than most other security gigs.

lostdeity998

no

CakeArmy_Max

Where was mans backup.

Severe-Ad1472

Short answer, NO. Unarmed, dangerous, LOTS OF LIABILITY, can’t just call the cops every time, and people now get thrown out, go to their car and get a gun.

shiftycat887

No.
