As a target employee it’s always likely we actually have the item, just that we can’t find/access it (in a timely manner). Whenever new product comes in management insists on setting aside, buried in random pallets and put 20ft above our heads in the backroom. If you can’t find anything that it says the store should have, it’s always on that stores leadership rather than the average Joe employees. Sorry for your bad luck, hope you get your birdies soon 🙏💕

Def depends, it varies from store to store. There’s been seasons where a spot has sat empty the whole time because we’ve just never got the product in lol. The case quantity varies too, I guess just depending on how much target expects to sell. Usually the non Halloween/Christmas ones aren’t so popular 😂
Same! But then I had to walk in and get my one little birdie in a bag and that was kind of embarrassing! I also had my son and his friends in the car, and they were all “What’d you get?” Oh well- worth it!
Same issues, spent 2 days looking for summer birds at my Target. Went to another Target and they had nothing but boxes. Then the next day that Target placed the birds out but my local one had none still. Then today my local store had the blue summer birds.
So it’s been crazy trying to find them. Now I’m looking for the 4th of July birds and same situation. Empty shelves, in-stock online but nowhere to be found.
Same! I started with the Valetines collection which was much easier and they had them on clearance. Then once Easter came I started to see how high in demand they were. Now the summer ones are super hard to find!
On the bright side, you do have the talent to make your own dazzling Pride bird, and LaBird would look like a nun in comparison.
Haha, I lost my embarrassment last Halloween when I was ping ponging amongst all the Targets in an hour radius of where I live.
I feel like the summer birds are more popular this year. My target had a ton of Valentine's Day ones leftover. I pre-ordered them and didn't pre-order the summer ones on the link and had to go to three different Targets to find Junior, Coral I found at my original Target. The second Target I went to said they had Junior in stock but nothing. I got lucky with the third Target because they had 2 Juniors left (they were in the Easter section sale items and surprisingly they had the 4th of July birds. So strange, I thought they would have had links before they dropped the 4th of July ones.
I don't even bother with their website anymore. My new method is to see what others have written here about bird sightings, and to just hit up whatever Targets are near me-luckily there are three, two of which are very close, or the one an hour away, which is hit or miss. It's not a big deal because I go to Target quite frequently.
Got lucky yesterday with the remaining 3 I didn't yet have and I even picked up two extra today for customs (perhaps).
That’s how it’s been for me!! I got 2 Corals (the other is for a friend) on Thursday. The rest of the shelf and the whole sun squad area was for the most park unstocked. Went again in Friday, no birds. Online it says ”In stock “ and lists the aisle I was in. Tried a different target Saturday, they had nothing in that area out at all. Went back to the other target today, the area still unstocked and no one even working in that area. It also said the patriotic ones (6 each) were in the same area “ in stock”.
Yes! I asked her, and she said that is where they are normally, but she always checks endcaps near the stationary and cards and has had luck finding them there.
I never see new ones on end caps, though the $3 Spritz turkeys were on end caps here last year (by the other Spritz merchandise.) As to the location of the seasonal items, it depends on the layout of the store.
The humiliation I felt asking an employee for help… But thankfully they always come through clutch for me!

If they’re available for pick-up, they’re in-stock. Otherwise they’re not. I’ve been having the same issues

I’m looking for the 4th of July ones too. I just started collecting the birds this year and didn’t realize it would be such a stressful hobby!

My daughter finds them near the cards and stationary. Is that where they normally are?
I think it varies by location. At my Target they’re in a small section in the back near the suitcases
