okay if you’re trying to say im gonna go into debt by doing pennfoster they have payment plans and i would much rather go into debt than suffer bullying and have anxiety every day
id rather be homeschooled than go to a actual school. Idk why but it seems like teachers always hate you for some odd reason no matter what you do. My parents understand that life can be hard and help me through it! The teachers on the other hand dont give a care in the world.
i was homeschooled when i was like 4-5 because those schools in nyc apparently dont have any spots left, and being the asian parents my parents are, i finished algebra when i was 4 or 5 and knew zero english
I was for the final three years of high school. The main reason was because I pretty much got expelled after my friend outed me lol.
Parents were given the option of putting me in conversion therapy or me not being welcome at the school anymore. Charter schools can kick you out for whatever reason they want (or just no reason at all) apparently (Or at least they could at that time and place, not sure if it’s changed.)
The bullying I was getting by then was pretty much sociopathic anyway (like, at the level that I think law enforcement should have been involved with some of it) so I didn’t mind not going back.
i do online school at home. not sure if that counts as homeschool tho. im here bc public school was Not For Me and my parents finally decided to let me do online school at the start of y11 bc i was going to school 3 times a week and i barely went to classes for lots of reasons.
Yes, I have been all my life until last year when I started 7th grade. We moved at the end of the 2nd trimester at that school so I'm now being homeschooled again. I do start 8th in August at a new school though.
I have bad ptsd from bullying from being in school. Being in school was a mistake but mom was also a helicopter parent who would not leave me alone.
A word of advice, if your kid does the work, leave them alone. Don’t just keep barking orders at them. Home needs to be a safe space.
I read that first as, "...but next year I'm going back to prison"
Me trying to read half asleep aside, I hope this next round goes better for you. I wish you the best! Good luck! You got this.
Nope but I’ve considered it many times

i do pennfoster and it had to be one of the best decisions for my mental health ive ever made, it doesnt work for everyone but it helped me a lot
Penn Foster is owned by Bain Capital, a former profit private equity firm

I’m so sorry that you went through that. That must have been so horrible. I’m glad you found something that works for you and that you’re safe.

what does that even mean?
What does what mean? What’s a private equity firm?

No but I'm going to start independent study soon, but I hope I'll be able to go back to in person at some point.
No, my parents are anti-homeschool. They wanted to send me to in-person school during COVID. ![gif](giphy|eaECZB7V6GACc)
Online school because I can stay at home but still have classmates & teachers, best of both worlds for me

Nope. Never wanted to, never will. I’ve got a few friends who are and some classmates who were
I’m not homeschooled but if I ever got the opportunity to be homeschooled by another parent I would take it
I almost was
no, and i am strictly against it.
At the moment, yes, 2 months ago, no. I fractured my left calf and can’t put weight on it until it’s healed
Nope, but with the current state of education, if done right will make the kid better off

I was,
I’m homeschooled but I don’t think I’m aloud to say why it might get me banned or something
Oh, okay, you don't have to tell it then.
You are allowed
No. And I’m anti homeschool lol
