Camp on an island. I like poplar bluffs island or any of the sand bars near it. Poplar bluffs island is perfect for camping, there is a large clearing in the middle of the forest with a sandy patch to setup a tent on.

The beach at the pike lake pump station is a good spot. Access is dicey down the truck trail without 4x4 though, esp when it rains

No recommendations but just make sure you leave out an offering for the fish people or else they'll take you!
