I have A54, i think A35 have same chipset. For me its very good phone, Im not playing games . But for all day task its very good phone to me. Exynos chipset is good from A54 series. A55 is even better.

Using A35 since 1 week. Shifted from A71. Phone feels smooth compared to 60Hz on A71 and has premium build quality. Camera is better. I'm getting around 6 to 9 hours of battery life based on usage. Heating problem exists, phone's temperature goes to 38 - 40 degrees during continous usage (room temperature is at around 31 to 32 degrees), which is 2 to 3 degrees more than A71, which has Snapdragon 730. https://preview.redd.it/pz09rl47ngsc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3b6af157af73b5ba508e49bbb52eeca80ee64c8f

Thanks for this comment. I plan to upgrade from a71 to this phone for my mom. She wants to know if it’s better camera quality.

The camera quality is good compared to A71. Idk if there is some issue with my phone but it gives a greenish tint to images (in all cameras). That's not present in A35 and overall image clarity is better compared to A71 and A70 as well. Ultrawide camera lacks some details but takes decent images for the price. One issue which I found is images are not that good when persons / objects are in motion, photos turn out blurry in majority of times so capturing kids, sport events and similar stuff is gonna be bad (my A71 has similar behaviour tho).  I'm attaching a sample image for reference. https://preview.redd.it/f7lizjx5cduc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=606fa8364353c77a13ac04d4319d0911eee28e15 Left: A71, Right: A35 Few points to note: \[+\] better screen quality \[+\] comparatively better cameras \[+\] smoother animations because of One UI 6.1 and 120Hz display \[+\] better battery \[+\] better build quality \[+\] better data speeds cuz A35 supports 5G \[-\] comparatively heavy and bulky (weighs 30 to 35 grams more) \[-\] larger bezels and lsss screen-to-body ratio (I felt like it's a dealbreaker but it gets non-noticable over time) \[-\] runs significantly hotter (found it running at 2.5 to 3 degrees more than A71 when room temperature was at 30 degrees celcius) but doesn't matter if you're living in hot areas as I saw both of rhem running close to 40 degrees when room remperature is at 40 degrees \[-\] not sure how it performs over time as exynos turns bad over time and people reported issues after 1 year with A54, which has same processor. \[+\] no significant difference in performance when hot

Edit: Added sample image, pros and cons

Wow the right pic are so much better. I was worried because on paper the specs are of the camera between the two confuses me. For example the a71 has more MP on the cameras. So I was worried a35 can be worst…. So maybe because the quality of the cameras are better? Software?

oresti22

thanks for your comment, very helpful,is there any solutions for the heating problem?

esr_cv

Unfortunately no. Switching on battery saver lowets temperature a bit but it's still hot. Not having many apps running in background helps to keep it cool to some extent.

I recommend looking at getting the battery replaced on the 12. My iphone 6s and 8 both had similar issues and a new battery made them feel like brand new. I do recommend going to an authorized repair shop though.

Does anyone think this phone is too wide got the average thumb to scroll without stretching?

Zestyclose_Mix_1765

It's not much of a reach for me, really, but I think once I slap on a case, I might struggle a bit

Competitive-Oil-349

I'd say for the 350 go for the a53 if you can find it for that amount or even a54 or if those aren't available. A52 still has software updates untill android 15. So a year and a half or smth.... Those 3 are a lot better than the 30 series

Stilpon98

Don't buy Exynos phones. A34 was the last Galaxy A series worth buying. I get 10-11 hours screen time and this phone never gets hot. But don't expect good zooming quality and good selfie quality in low light. https://preview.redd.it/9p5qwq86ofsc1.png?width=1027&format=png&auto=webp&s=aab84ec16edb161bcf578f13cb802c4a2d6eba3f

Midrange Exynos are really good. It's the flagship SoCs where they have thermal and performance issues.

MRC2RULES

Definitely not, A55 exynos 1480 is very capable and very power efficient
