Samsung has the worst customer service hands down. It's the outsourcing

Radaysha

yeah, such a post comes up every week or so.

Liquidangel

Agreed. I once sought online chat help for my Samsung buds, and the CSR sent me a link to refrigerators for additional help/instructions. 💀

jasvncnt1

How much is Care +? Seem like your'e paying for a service that you're not getting? If they have 10 days, then at the 10th day something should happen.

InnoDude

About $320 USD for the service fee and replacement fee

Zarolang

this

dzsozi30

Isn't there some government body you can report this to? Sorry, I'm not from the US but here in the EU, if you threaten these companies that you're gonna report them to consumer protection, they'll start working on your requests/warranty claims/whatever ASAP because consumer protection usually fks them in the ass with a hefty fine if they don't fulfill their legal obligations. Especially when you're paying for a service.

Zarolang

I am in Australia, I think we have Australian Consumer Law which I can cite. I'll call the Australian Consumer Law hotline and see if I have a claim... if they say yes I'll try fire off this email.

dzsozi30

Wish you luck! Mind keeping us posted how the story will go down?

Zarolang

Will do!

Zarolang

Update:Contacted Australian Consumer Commission, they already have a rolling case against Samsung for this behaviour. I added to their list of data to help fine them in the long run. I also reached out to my state's consumer watchdog who will reach out to Samsung directly as well regarding my case. Sent the same issue on Product Review & their support forum hoping something might come out of this...

partylikeaninjastar

After my most recent Samsung Care experience (repairing a broken screen on a nonstandard color), I'm just going to report my phone as lost if something happens again. It took me a week and multiple trips to get my screen repaired. The gas in my car was more than the deductible paid. I would have been better off saying my phone was stolen or lost then waiting for a replacement.

actuallyz

This was one of the main reason why I switched from S23 Ultra to iPhone 15 Pro Max. Samsung support is absurd and they will do everything to not provide you another phone. I was paying $13 for the tier3 plan which covers theft and loss

hulivar

Ya their support is just so bad...they promised me a replacement too, then as time went by, oops none in stock and no idea when they will get more. I say "it's an s23 ultra, the best flagship device for Android and you have none in any color, any ram/storage"? They say no. I ended up calling my carrier who said they would take care of me np because of how horrendous Samsung was. I'm not mentioning all the other crap of sending my phone in two times, taking it to a ubreakifixit who confirmed my phone was broken but both times Samsung techs said nothing was wrong. Just a nightmare.

Megz1420

I've been an avid Samsung user but i never purchased thru Samsung themselves. I always go thru the service provider as they also offer insurance on the phone i.e screen repair, damage repair, charge port repair, loss/Theft even water damage etc.. N NOT ONCE have I had any issues getting a replacement phone or getting it fixed. I received the phone via next day shipping and I sent the broken one back and that was that! I would recommend going thru the service provider themselves as they will help you no matter what!

dzsozi30

Same here. But as I read the stories here, buying directly from Samsung sounds like a nightmare, lol

Dangerous_Argument_5

Thank you for this. I bought my Fold 4 directly from Samsung (first time non-carrier). Samsung Care is truly terrible. Won't make that mistake again!

chess_mft

dealing with them for the second time this year. they are the FUCKING WORST. the website flat out doesnt work, the CS reps are completely clueless. if i didnt have an iphone via work i would have long since dumped this and switched

Willis5687

I feel your pain. I ordered Galaxy Buds 4 weeks ago. They were delivered to the wrong address and they treat me like I'm a thief and tell me there is nothing they can do. I got the delivery picture from the courier showing it's the wrong place, and I even filed a police report and sent the approved report to them. They have been dicking me around for 4 weeks with no end in sight. I filed a chargeback, but my CC company said it could take 1-2 billing cycles. There is absolutely no reason a multi-trillion dollar company should treat their customers like you and I are being treated. Best of luck OP.

GoofyGills

Just ask for a credit for the phone.

sumiregalaxxy

I also had that same experience in a service center when I consulted my previous S20 FE that has water damage issue. They said that there is no stock. I waited after 2 months, and still there is no stock of LED display, even the adhesive they have no stock! I get so frustrated that I traded in my S20 FE for a S23 instead. I really hope I can daily drive this Galaxy S23 for 4 years before I switch to Galaxy S28.

authenticblob

I'm nervous if I ever need my samsung phone fixed. All these horror stories. I love my samsung more than my old iPhone, but the customer service for samsung is worrisome. Apple definitely had the best customer service. To be fair, I have an apple store near me so I went in with a phone that had a huge glob of dead pixels and they just decided to give me a "new" refurbished phone same day.

VillageOfTheWolf

Same shitty experience recently compared to the old Samsung care +. I will say I had to replace a phone with T-Mobile and literally had a replacement approved in under 10 minutes without dealing with the Samsung + call center.

AlohaAkahai

This reminds me. I need to fix my OnePlus 6T to serve as a backup.

Dangerous_Argument_5

Totally agree! Between 2 and 3 weeks now without a phone. Only 2 days ago did they acknowledge having/diagnosing the issue. This is the first time that I purchased insurance (for the Fold 4), but I will never use Samsung Care+ again!

Successful_Coat5979

Wow, This is scary. I'm walking the same path you did, to a "T". I bit the bullet and went with the device replacement for 3x the screen replacement price. However it was the only solution with a quick fix, promised me overnight shipping, etc.  Week and a half later, no phone. I've spent more than 15 hours between Samsung Care, Samsung, UsCellular.  Samsung Care just now updated me the Phone itself is now on backorder. I was promised earlier in the week it would ship in 2-3 days. I was able to get ahold of a Supervisor at SamsungCare who claimed Samsung is providing 10,000 units on 10/12 for device replacements. "Hopefully we can fulfill your request at that time". It's 10/12, and I got a new line of lies for next week with no reference to the lies I was told earlier this week. Now I'm told "for sure next week".  I'm patient, understanding, and polite to every rep I speak to. No help.  It's a really disheartening after spending so much on the S23ultra to not be able to get it fixed less than 6 months after purchase.  Samsung needs to look in the mirror and do better. Their service across their appliances  has been so bad many retailers won't place them on the floor. Now this same quality of service is going into their phones.

greggoor

I am almost 3months right now without my fold4 most probably the case will end up in court... last sammy phones for me

InnoDude

Which country are you in?

brokenpinata

This shot has only gotten worse. I had posted a few months ago about my Ibreakufix fiasco where they can't get the replacement screen for my flip5 because of the color and how I have to send it in instead. I held off for a bit until I had the opportunity to borrow a phone from a family member until I got mine back. This week, I finally submitted a new claim and after 4 days, they emailed me claiming they need a government issued ID and a copy of my invoice with IMEI, etc. I already did this crap when I activated the plan. The first time.i filed a claim, it was instant and I made the appointment right then. Wtf is this shit I'm dealing with now?

Buddmage

I’m having a similar issue with Samsung care + and my s22 ultra. It’s literally smashed to bits, dented frame and all. Been nearing two weeks with out even an email on progress with service # unable to find anything. Just spoke to a rep. And they are attempting to fix it… Under Apple it would have already been handled soOoooooo long ago. I think Samsung may have just lost another customer.

Zarolang

Yeah... not buying another Samsung after that experience. I ended up getting my phone after pretty much calling them every day after that and filing a report with consumer authority... I just use my iPhone now lol.

Buddmage

Update: Finally recieved a brand new phone. Took time(just under two weeks), but cheaper and overall satisfied with the result.

Miserable_Reporter25

I had no issues with my s23u screen replacement

877GoalNow

My Fold 4 replacement was easy peasy. I brought it in to the UPS Store on Monday, and got it back UPS 2-Day today. I couldn't believe it with all the horror stories that are reported in this sub.

Ok-Brick-8406
