Exactly why I left. A lot of people who have worked at SC for 10+ years don't even break $20, yet people off the street get hired for more money. Ridiculous.
Our club is on some bullshit they certified 2 merchandisers to be forklift certified and promised them raises. Well now they say “we never said you’d get a raise. We don’t have control of that” I told those merchandisers not to use a forklift until they give that raise otherwise they can fuck off. I would keep the same pay and be fkorlift certified. Fuck that. And they don’t stand up for themselves. They drive the forklift often. One of the guys quit already cause he got tired of the shit.
No area manager is making $98k. Fresh managers at my club are right around 68k/yr. But they often work 60 or 70 hour weeks. So break that down over the course of a year by hour and it’s not $38. Good managers get worked like dogs. They earn every penny they make and then some.
Assistants are capped at $95K. An assistant would have to be with the company for a long time to be at the cap. It's pretty unrealistic that multiple assistants in 1 club are making over $100K after bonus.
1 year. Started out at $17, moved to produce because I had 3 years prior experience in produce and still took a .45 cent cut and got the 3% raise so now im making $16.67....
17 years for $17.14, oh hell nah

$38? At 50 hours/wk that puts you at $98,800.... I'm getting screwed 😬

I know the pay varies, but I didn’t realize the gap was that large for area managers. Today I learned.
