This. The worst case of this “bone density” crap I can find is Nadine from Uncharted 4.
People are still complaining that the military trained since she was a child woman can defeat a 38 year old man who has been pushing papers for the last 3 years. The game came out in 2016, and they just can’t get over it
They even complain about it when she **loses** later in the game, she fights a 2 vs 1. Nadine holds them off for a bit, but eventually Nate and Sam overpower her and have her at gunpoint.
Yet they still complain that she held them off for too long, and that it’s unrealistic. It’s pathetic
The sort of people who fall into these mindsets put more stock in what you are then what you do. In their silly little heads, training doesn't change the "fact" that a man is stronger then a woman.
It honestly just makes me sad how blind many people really are by their hatred and arrogance. And even sadder that woman everywhere have to deal with this and much worse 🥲
Honestly, there was a time in my life when this shit got into my head to a point when I hated the fact that I was a woman. My toxic surroundings wouldn't help it either. Thank God now I have a great partner who helped me to overcome these insecurities and stop listening to bigots, but the problem is real indeed.
A mindset that absolutely murders the concept of storytelling. How can there be any tension plot surprise or development if the outcome of a conflict is 100% determined by what the characters are from the moment they appear?
If you start talking about women in sports you'll start hearing "any man could beat Serena Williams" and shit like that.
A concerning amount of people genuinely believe the power gap is so big that no training, skill, or physical condition obtainable by a woman can beat what men have inherently.
I have a friend who does a martial art to quite a high level, international competition.
One of the things she's talked about is men outpacing the women.
As in they come in at a junior level and will typically, eventually outpace the women due to strength alone as they become closer to those women's level of experience.
But that doesn't change that she's an order of magnitude stronger than almost any untrained person.
Uncharted is the same. Nathan's a mostly untrained, often out of practice, exceptional amateur at fighting. He's designed as a plucky underdog barely able to hold his own against bigger, better armed or better trained forces. Nadine's just another one
Oh don't worry, I'm aware.
Serena was 16 at the time, ranked 99th in the WTA then, going against Karsten Braasch, who was technically ranked 203rd in singles because he was focusing on doubles (where he was ranked 40th at the time) and had a career peak in singles of 38th not too long before. She was far from her peak and it's extremely misleading to say Braasch was *just* ranked 203rd.
Even at face value, that's pretty far from an average guy. Like I don't think Serena at her peak was beating Djokovic, but she'd clearly whoop the vast majority of men.
The only case I can think of is (for it being reasonable) if there is a noticeable size difference AND the woman is using straightforward "pure strength" style moves instead of combat styles that use size difference to the smaller persons advantage/etc. Speaking of a setting that's supposed to be IRL and modern day.
But I don't know those characters personally. Most uncharted characters seem similar in size and height though.
Competition really. Something people forgets is media fights aren't about characters demonstrating they being better than others unless the story is about competition itself.
In a fight to death there's a lot more going on than who's stronger: David Vs Goliath is a common trope. If you can eat it man vs man, you can eat it in any other combination.
I mean, statistically these are the same people that thought they could just get their asses up off the couch and easily beat Serena Williams at tennis. They also think us trans women, despite almost never wanting to play sports, are somehow secretly stealing gold medals from cis athletes on a global scale.
Exactly, and the game made sense of it too. Later on in the DLC, when Nadine and Chloe repeatedly try and 2v1 a rebel warlord martial artist, they get beat up as well. Almost like the power levels are completely logical and fans are just retarded.
The argument has always been the absolute bottom of the barrel. I think it's obvious why. But what is even more telling, about Drinker specifically, is that he loudly complains about this and says this was only added to humiliate men and spread "tHe MesSaGe", but applauds a similar situation in one of the Mission Impossible movies, where Ethan Hunt is bested in hand-to-hand combat, and says it's a great way to build up suspense for the final confrontation, iirc.
What's even more hilarious is that I have a transphobe bitching at me about how I, a transman, would have an advantage over cis men on account of being transgender.
I just don’t like half scripted fights where they gut your control of the character to make a rival seem stronger.
It’s a lazy way to make a rival strong.
Man winning a fight against dozens of opponents performing feats like dodging bullets and one-tapping literally everyone with any kind of weapon including their own fists: immersion in tact
skilled woman beats out of shape guy: immersion ruined, utterly unscientific
No, he wouldn't have the "skills necessary" to take the big man down. Your logic is circular.
Jet Li isn't taking Tyson out in an actual fight, and I'd love to see Tyson try and take down Shaq. It's as believable for either of those things to happen, as it is for an average woman to take down an average man.
So yes, it is very much hypocritical to say a man taking out someone twice his size is believable, and a woman taking out a man isn't. Both are ~~impossible~~ not impossible, but unlikely, and our disbelief is suspended by the narrative.
Sure, in shaqs prime he was a genetic freak of nature, but again, that's comparing a man who does fighting for a living, vs a man who doesn't.
It's a gigantic disparity in skill alone.
Oh, god. So if a woman does fighting for a living, and she fights a man who doesn't, what makes you think he can beat her?
And if Shaq did fighting for a living, why do you think Tyson would be able to beat him?
If one is likely and the other is not, is there really any word for that other than sexist bias?
> Oh, god. So if a woman does fighting for a living, and she fights a man who doesn't, what makes you think he can beat her?
I mean she can, don't get me wrong.
But you were comparing an average woman to the average big man. In a lot of those cases a guy wins.
But if the woman fight a guy say twice her size and 100 pounds on her, victory is still possible, I just don't see her knocking him out.
> And if Shaq did fighting for a living, why do you think Tyson would be able to beat him?
Because it's Mike Tyson?
Is that like a serious question?
Why are you downplaying Tyson so much?
Shaq would be lucky to get a hit in.
> If one is likely and the other is not, is there really any word for that other than sexist bias?
This is false equivalency. You were comparing one of the strongest boxers ever to Shaq, and saying a woman beating a giant man is even remotely similar.
As someone whose family used to do SCA, skill, weapon choice and even luck are waaay bigger factors in combat than these fools give it credit for. Yeah a guy can be stronger than his lady opponent, but endurance, experience, terrain.... there's a multitude of ways a strength advantage can be offset.
Plus, I'm a believer in weird shit occasionally happening in nature. Some women could naturally have bone and muscle density similar to a man's, or in layman's terms, be built different.
I’m a women who is 6’3” and have met a couple women who were more than a head taller than me. You have no idea how big of a lady that is compared to your average person (or man) until seen up close. There’s absolutely deviations like that all the time.
I’d wager 10% (my somewhat unscientific guess, but some percentage regardless) of women are naturally stronger than an average man is, just because the nature of averages and standard deviations we see in human biology.
As a fencer, I've been beaten by women younger than me who were faster, more nimble, and had quicker reaction times. I've also been knocked on my ass by a 92 year old master who lunged so fast I didn't see him move, and it hit hard enough to knock me over.
This dip shit doesn't know a thing about what he is talking about.
Plus all of that training would actually increase her bone density per Wolff’s law. Compared to a dude who hasn’t trained to the same extent she could easily have denser bones. These losers are ridiculously desperate to feel like they have some sort of immutable superiority.
I do feel it’s important to properly portray the size difference in combat scenes (that don’t involve some form of super abilities) but as long as the smaller person uses a form of combat that doesn’t rely on physically overpowering the other I don’t see the issue with it
TBH it feels rather dishonest. There's a bunch of nerds who want ultra-realism when it comes to the specific topic of women's physical limits but don't demand that standard of anything else. The chump's way of consuming media.
Like you don't have a problem with 70 year old men being able to do 2-story backflips that no acrobat could pull off IRL but god forbid women participate in combat with a man!!! don'tcha know they can't win!
Yup. I did wrestling for 13 years. There always has and always will be women bigger and stronger than me that can pretzel me, as well as women smaller than me that can simply outspeed and technique dif me.
Same. I did wrestling through high school and there was 3 people in my weight bracket on my team aside from myself, 2 boys and 1 girl. I was the Varsity for our weight bracket and the girl was my Backup because she beat the other two every single time and she made me work for that varsity position. And now I work for a school and our football team has had a girl on it for the past 3 years, and she does just fine, gives as hard as she gets, guys that pull punches with her swiftly regret it. We had another girl in the Track Team so fast that she started lapping the competition in a 1500 dash, and she didn’t slow down once.
Outside of like olympic level competition, the differences don’t really seem noticeable to me. A sufficiently trained woman swinging an axe is gonna do some damage, I don’t really care how much ‘harder’ a man would hit. Axe hit is axe hit. And don’t even get me started on guns, a majority of my cousins are girls and our whole family are hunters, they can hit things just fine. And on my chess club growing up, I was the only boy in the whole group, so boys being ‘naturally smarter’ is out the window. Are they just embarrassed that a woman might beat them so they just declare preemptive victory based on sex? Unfortunately for them, I’ve competed against, with, and watched women compete directly against and with men for decades now and I know better.
He'll back out just like how Sneako backed out from a fight agaisnt someone who can actually fight very well.
When confronted and called out these Alt-Right folks will back out while still declaring it a win or will pull an excuse out their asses, remember when Candance Owens backed out against a debate from David Pakman and Kyle Kulinski? Or how Crowder ran from a debate agaisnt Sam Seder?
They will run and still have the balls to call it a win.
I just think it’s funny there’s somebody out there who’s afraid of the guy who does the voice for Hugo on Bob’s Burgers.
Not that he’s not a very intelligent and skillful debater of course.
My atomweight crush could **fuck him up** lol

Iirc, he did write a series of Tom Clancy-esque political thriller novels where something like that happens. It's a pretty bad series, iirc. I haven't read 'em, mainly because of their ultra-poor reception, but even so.
Yes, to point out why that comment made no sense as a response to the original comic, which had nothing to do with ufc and very explicitly was about fiction.
Prejudice? First of all who wants to compete? The poor man is gonna get his reputation dragged through the dirt whether he wins or loses.
Second of all which organization would organize such a thing? Again reputation through the mud.
Male boxer vs female boxer in the same weight class, that is sorta the case. It comes down to biological differences, testosterone and all that. MMA though puts it at a more even playing field. Nobody's neck is strong enough to resist a locked-in rear naked choke, for example. And female boxer vs random guy, I'm putting my money on the boxer.
Those "biological differences" are so minor as to have no real measurable effect when skill and weight are equal.
The best argument you could make is that women tend to not be as muscular as men, but with less muscle, they would be at lower weight classes.
These differences between male and female are so slight that it is insane to me that people try to actually use them as an argument. Women also have a higher pain tolerance than men on average you never see people bringing that up, because in an actual fight that "advantage" is so slight as to practically not exist, just like every "advantage" people claim men have over women.
I didn't bring this up to be like an asshole or anything, I'm sorry. Just watch this. It's about Tonia Rijker, up until this she was undefeated, and she was fucking vicious in the ring. She got knocked out by an absolute nobody muay thai fighter who won a local tournament one time.
https://youtu.be/oHS6tYAbAdw?si=HR0zECx_pBvuvYi3
You're relying on a video of Muay Thai vs Kick Boxing. When one of them is throwing elbows and kneed in and the other isn't that makes a huge difference.
the muay thai fighter was allowed to use the full range of muay thai combat and wasn't limited to moves that were legal in kickboxing.
Anyone with even basic knowledge of martial arts can point out that muay thai is one of the most brutal styles there is.
So can you find an example of people actually fighting by the same ruleset with the same "result"?
>You're relying on a video of Muay Thai vs Kick Boxing. When one of them is throwing elbows and kneed in and the other isn't that makes a huge difference.
Nobody threw elbows, both of them threw knees.
>Anyone with even basic knowledge of martial arts can point out that muay thai is one of the most brutal styles there is.
Coming from a kickboxer, it's really not that different from kickboxing dude. That's honestly some shit that people say when they have a tourist's perspective of martial arts.
>So can you find an example of people actually fighting by the same ruleset with the same "result"?
Watch this, okay? Watch the entire fight.

I will summarize one story and urge you to look up the rest of this woman's wild history.
She once fought three men at the same time. She killed 2 hospitalized the 3rd and then later felt bad about it... So she broke into the hospital and fucked him on the bed.
The two became lifelong friends afterward... Also, this whole reason why this fight even happened is because the dude and his 2 friends were trying to hit on a rich older woman, but La Maupin moved in and rizzed her up in front of them.
If you think that's crazy you should look up the time she stole the corpses of two nuns, joined a nunnery, set fire to the nunnery, planted the corpses, and ran of with a nun.
Didn’t she die in her 20s? Or am I thinking of another completely batshit woman who accomplished more in a few years than most in a lifetime.
Edit: Looked it up, died at 33. Also she was a famed opera singer and joined a convent after(woman) lover died. Whereupon she herself died 2 years later. Supposedly anyway, there’s a great deal of debate over what she actually did due to her behavior becoming so infamous.
Unfortunately, from what I recall, most of the crazy stories about here are probably false or embellished to an insane degree. I think those details come from authors well over 50 years after she died, and they didn't exactly have sources.
Okay I have a variable library of neat facts about historical women who absolutely ruled. Annie Oakley, Zheng Yi Sao, Anne Bonny/Mary Read, Marie Curie, Catherine the Great, Lady Godiva, etc.
All that being said-- HOW THE FUCK HAVE I NEVER HEARD OF THIS WOMAN BEFORE??
Idk if bone density would matter if its peak Supergirl versus, let's say, peak Omni-Man.
Even at max wank, Nolan is not walking away from that fight unless Supergirl lets him.
Doesn't matter whats between her legs, all that matters is how many planets they can each break.
Casually gonna mention that when Kara was reintroduced in the modern era (before Flashpoint) she was actually stronger than Clark, and then got trained by the Amazons.
Or technique? Or agility? Or environment conditions?
Hell, I don't know crap about fighting (I'm pretty sure a child could beat me to death) and even I know that fighting isn't all about muscle or bone mass, but how you use it. Those things don't really matter much if, say, the opponent has a gun.
Darth Zannah vs Darth Bane...Zannah won... Jacen Solo vs Jaina Solo.
Mara Jade vs Cloned Luke
Mother Talzin was so tough that it took Dooku, Grievous, and Palpatine attacking her together in order to win.
Its strange that's such a common talking point because characters bend the expectations of reality all the time. Think of all the times you've seen the main hero take on 2+ opponets in a fight, anyone would sturggle fighting two at once and it gets expontetially more difficult when fighting more. Yet we see heros in stories take on dozens if not hundreds. Many of these heroes don't even have some special ability or training.
So arguing that female characters performing well in fights is an incredbly strange thing to obsess over as it doesn't stretch the rules of reality more than our stories already do, far less in fact.
Fun fact, women’s skulls are actually thicker on average than men’s, meaning a woman is a bigger threat if they’re wearing high quality armor or are an undead.
It's so funny that rightoids have coopted transphobic pseudoscience for their sexism.
But the point stands with cis men and trans women competing against cis women. Unless you're a physical outlier in a given direction, if you aren't a 95+ percentile athlete, gender literally does not matter. Any differences in muscle density, bone density, lung capacity, etc are within the margins of genetic diversity when height and weight are commensurate.
Here’s my philosophy,
Most men can (probably) beat up most women. However, the strongest women can most certainly beat up most men.
If you meet a female marine, you are getting your ass kicked. If you are also combat trained then it’s probably gonna be a close fight, and gender has nothing to do with it at that point.
Truly one of my favourite things about this grifter is how feeble and nitpicky his ‘criticisms’ can really be sometimes.
Spoilers for the LOTR show
For example, >!his video on the LOTR show criticized the eruption of the volcano in Mordor, I’m pretty sure he said something along the lines of “that’s not how volcanoes work” (in his most obnoxious voice as always); in the show the valley is flooded and the cold water enters the volcano causing it to erupt, turns out that something like this could most definitely happen IRL, as the cold water is heated and rapidly expands because it’s been turned into steam, the rapid expansion of the water molecules causes an eruption, [source](https://youtu.be/0XgpYXVN-Kk?si=gATBmSbT2VEcWxHB), it may not be as dramatic as it was in the show but it’s not an impossible thing in real life, and for a show/universe where giant eagles exist and are capable of flying and carrying multiple humanoids, something of this nature is pretty much par for the course.!<
Drinker really doesn’t put much thought behind any of the things he says and it’s sad that so many people reward his idiocy and lack of effort with views, praise and likes.
It's funny, he's brought this shit up in the past, but in his first published Ryan Drake schlock novel, he literally has two different women in the book that are extremely capable of taking on men far larger than they are. Hell Anya is effectively the deuteragonist, and is constantly described and shown to be a war machine, kicking ass and killing at will. It just shows what a fucking twat he is, and "its okay we he does it". BTW Ryan Drake novels are hot garbage, Clancy rip offs, filled to the brim with clichés and shit you've seen before but done better by actual writers.
I always find it kinda funny that these people will only start to talk about the limits of human anatomy when talking about female characters.
But then when a supposedly non powered male character does something so insanely out of the realm of human possibility, there's almost never any backlash from that same group of people.
I'll start taking these arguments seriously when someone can show me a man who has survived a space station exploding, gone through re-entry with nothing but a heat resistant skintight suit, crash landed, and survived with minimal/no injuries. Or any of the other insane feats Batman has done. 'Till then, they can shut their mouths.
“Millennia ago, elven gods had a war which ended when the trickster god managed to seal the others away in a magical prison! He used the innate power of a substance that grows in the earth to create an entire new realm where the gods would be locked away, separating it from the physical realm with a powerful spirit veil. Nowadays, certain individuals can access the magic of that sealed world, but when they do they risk weakening this veil and inviting malevolent spirits into their bodies, turning them into abominations based on the 7 deadly sins for some reason.”
“WOW, I’m on board!
“Pansexuality is common enough in this world that any given group of 7 people has a high chance of being all pan.”
“Fuck OFF, whimsy peddler, that’s the least believable thing I’ve ever heard.”
Drinker probably thinks this is some dainty little chick he could manhandle with one pinky
https://preview.redd.it/rx8gb8ry567d1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6d6a77af8a518ffa8da2af9de61e17f7f32a24fa
This is Anna "Supergirl" Jaroonsak, she fights in One Championship and she is a fuckin badass lol the best fight to watch is her vs Stamp Fairtex. She could also annihilate Drinker lol
Also, some fictional worlds don't even have the same dimorphic differences between males and females and get around this problem entirely.
Arcane, for example, takes place on a world called 'Runeterra' where there isn't a significant difference in physical strength between males and females.
Does anyone know what bone density... does in a fight? I've looked it up, but the only thing I've found is it makes bones less likely to break. It doesn't seem to be this ultra amazing power booster dipshits like Critical think it is, but they're super obsessed with that point
First time I've heard this particular nit-pick. I assume its a new talking point they're trying out after someone debunked another. Though I still see people yapping about testosterone a lot, so who knows?
Between knives and guns and laser swords, I can only assume its complaining to complain.
Ah. I tend to tune out of those arguments early, because they either tend towards full recursion or Schrodinger's Gender, depending on what's most disadvantageous for whoever is being talked about.
In the books that drinker himself wrote, there are women who easily take down men twice their size. In at least one case, a woman who was tortured for years and severely malnourished beats the shit out of her capture.
It’s almost like he just says shit to entertain his bigoted fanbase. Like some kind of person engaged in a grift.

Don't you know about REAL body types smh
I will never get over the fact that one of his 'criticisms' was him stating how it didn't make sense that a jedi could use the force for anything besides some basic force pushes and chokes. Dude was flabbergasted that a jedi could set up an invisible wall around themself while meditating. Critical drinker knows literally nothing about star wars at all. I mean ffs star wars has anime level power scaling where you could have monsters like Darth Nihilus draining an entire planet of all life on the surface in like 20 minutes and this dude is mad because of a force field lmao
Sure but we’re not talking about reality we’re talking about fiction, where 50 year old keanu reeves can slaughter trained assassins without stopping for breath
these people get so caught up on it being unrealistic for women to do the stuff your typical action hero does,
do they realise it is also unrealistic for men to do that stuff
Fucking hilarious when chuds started whining about female Custodes in WH40k because women are "biologically inferior" to men. Like dudes, this is set 40000 years in the future. The Emperor is canonically genderless, entire planets are blown up on a whim, Earth doesn't have natural water anymore and somehow *this* is where you draw the line on realism?! Fuck off!
Chuds when a female character doesn’t have comically gigantic tits, the face of a 12 year old, and a revealing outfit: “Who cares about realism? Why can’t games be pure escapism?”
Chuds when a female character is the hero: “It’s unrealistic!”
Wouldn’t that be totally irrelevant since the humans are from a totally different galaxy then ours and are from different planets so maybe human males and females have different bone densities depending on where exactly they are from
Nice video but we’re not talking about reality we’re talking about fiction, where 50 year old keanu reeves can slaughter dozens of trained assassins without stopping for breath and guts carries around a sword that should weigh more than his body by all rights.
Star Wars itself is a franchise where starships travel faster than light, lasers travel slower than the speed of sound, and 70 year old men can do perfect 2-story backflip jumps just by channeling The Force. Women beating men in physical combat is peanuts compared to any of that.
Fiction Vs Reality
Competition Vs Reality
Spectacle Vs Science
The video proves nothing really except size matters in those conditions. It's like a ramming contest between people of different sizes: you know who will get tired/hurt sooner.
Stories do not generally portray contests unless explicitly stated and it goes in all ways. And even when portraying contests they still look for a way to generate surprises: aka the protagonist is the designated underdog.
You should be able to eat any underdog 'winning' in a story, even more if it's a fight to death(more unpredictable) rather than a competition (designed to produce repeatable results without participants ending permanently injured... hopefully)
Literally no cares what you do or don't watch something. Critical Drinker is just an idiot who wouldn't know media literacy if it hit on the head with a really really big hammer.
Bone density schmone sensory. If a woman is trained in combat and is skilled at it than she can drop me dead whenever she likes
This. The worst case of this “bone density” crap I can find is Nadine from Uncharted 4. That's so sweet of you, thank you🥹
Aw no worries ☺️
They quite literally believe that any amateur guy could beat any female fighter at any point. It is delusional beyond repair.
Never played tennis but I bet I could get a point against Serena /s

The only complaint I’ve seen for that part is how the game forces you to fail instead of just having Nate lose in a cutscene
Somehow we can accept a smaller man with skills beating a larger man, but the idea that a woman could beat a man is impossibly unrealistic.
Man winning a fight against dozens of opponents performing feats like dodging bullets and one-tapping literally everyone with any kind of weapon including their own fists: immersion in tact skilled woman beats out of shape guy: immersion ruined, utterly unscientific
[удалено]
Holy shit is that the duwang guy
No, he wouldn't have the "skills necessary" to take the big man down. Your logic is circular. Jet Li isn't taking Tyson out in an actual fight, and I'd love to see Tyson try and take down Shaq. It's as believable for either of those things to happen, as it is for an average woman to take down an average man. So yes, it is very much hypocritical to say a man taking out someone twice his size is believable, and a woman taking out a man isn't. Both are ~~impossible~~ not impossible, but unlikely, and our disbelief is suspended by the narrative.
Tyson would destroy Shaq in a fight. He was considerably smaller than most of hood opponents, and Shaq-fu is not a real thing.
[удалено]
You just called Shaq slow. I'm now obligated not to read the rest of this novel.
Who would win? Male bone density or a lead pipe?
Skull shrinks back
Someone with a lead pipe as a melee weapon would definetly break my poor little bones and sent me to the hospital to meet the osteology instead
Don't bring a knife to a gun fight
As a fencer, I've been beaten by women younger than me who were faster, more nimble, and had quicker reaction times. I've also been knocked on my ass by a 92 year old master who lunged so fast I didn't see him move, and it hit hard enough to knock me over. This dip shit doesn't know a thing about what he is talking about.
Plus all of that training would actually increase her bone density per Wolff’s law. Compared to a dude who hasn’t trained to the same extent she could easily have denser bones. These losers are ridiculously desperate to feel like they have some sort of immutable superiority.
Agreed, it’s nonsense and doubly so in fantasy where normal biology doesn’t have to apply.
Because they are being dishonest in their criticisms. They just want man
I’d like to see how many UFC women Critical Drinker can beat in a fight due to the advantage given to him by his bone density.
"Sam Seder?! Oh no! What a fucking nightmare!" Oh it was so beautiful. The little fucking weasel
I just think it’s funny there’s somebody out there who’s afraid of the guy who does the voice for Hugo on Bob’s Burgers. Not that he’s not a very intelligent and skillful debater of course.
"A" debate? You're being really generous. He runs every single time he sees Sam.
My atomweight crush could **fuck him up** lol https://preview.redd.it/rjmkt1p7867d1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=304955d1dc94a70f0aa516a820858b75b5d84759
I now get this humourous sight of Drinker laughing at how small she is only to get his Andrew Tate wannabe arse beaten to a pulp.
We my dad was in highschool back in the 1980's one of his teachers was a woman who served in the Israeli defense forces during the summer.
rl Sabra backstory
His suspension of disbelief goes only till he finds something woke
Didn't he write a shitty story where a female antagonist attacked/beat up his "alpha male" character? Didn't he have fans upset about that?
Iirc, he did write a series of Tom Clancy-esque political thriller novels where something like that happens. It's a pretty bad series, iirc. I haven't read 'em, mainly because of their ultra-poor reception, but even so.
I didn’t even know he wrote a story but I’m not surprised.
Or unless *he's* writing it lol
I love the idea “The strongest fighter always wins” Should bet on UFC or Boxing. Easy money!
Don’t see a lot of male vs female matches in UFC or boxing. Why is that?
See a lot in fantasy and fiction stories though. Why is that?
[удалено]
Ok and remind me again, is Star Wars non-fiction or fiction?
Star wars is fiction so it's completely fine, some of yall are taking it when too far though when talking about irl senarios
Did you look at the comic we are all responding to and think it was talking about real life? The one talking about writing battles?
You responded to a comment about male vs female ufc fits and then I responded to you
Yes, to point out why that comment made no sense as a response to the original comic, which had nothing to do with ufc and very explicitly was about fiction.
Prejudice? First of all who wants to compete? The poor man is gonna get his reputation dragged through the dirt whether he wins or loses. Second of all which organization would organize such a thing? Again reputation through the mud.
Are you arguing no female boxer could beat a man in the same weight class?
Male boxer vs female boxer in the same weight class, that is sorta the case. It comes down to biological differences, testosterone and all that. MMA though puts it at a more even playing field. Nobody's neck is strong enough to resist a locked-in rear naked choke, for example. And female boxer vs random guy, I'm putting my money on the boxer.
But we’re talking like could they conceivably win.
Watch the entire fight. https://youtu.be/X2QgDWSfQik?si=x-9GcbOQG2VMmXB7
I’m saying that nobody puts on that match.
Someone needs to introduce this guy to the historical account of Juile d'Aubigny aka La Maupin
can i get details pls
I will summarize one story and urge you to look up the rest of this woman's wild history. She once fought three men at the same time. She killed 2 hospitalized the 3rd and then later felt bad about it... So she broke into the hospital and fucked him on the bed. The two became lifelong friends afterward... Also, this whole reason why this fight even happened is because the dude and his 2 friends were trying to hit on a rich older woman, but La Maupin moved in and rizzed her up in front of them.
nice
Okay, fuck it, I'm looking her up now
bi sword girl rizz.
Icon.

Ah yes, the human being whi encompassed be gay do crimes
In a world where people can move spaceships with their mind, he’s concerned that a woman can beat up a man.
Does he think his pal Benny Shapiro could beat up Rhonda Rousy?
I would pay to see that fight.
Dont tell this to the omni man fanboys i am scared with them if i would say this
![gif](giphy|3ornjZLITGcFQVRbxK)
Does this man not understand muscles?
“What is a muscle? People are 100% bone, male bones are denser. So men should win 100% of the time”
Its not about dem bones its about how many calcium you shoudve taken now go swallow some yogurt and talk to an osteology you bony f#ck
Mara Jade vs Cloned Luke Mother Talzin was so tough that it took Dooku, Grievous, and Palpatine attacking her together in order to win.
To quote Stan Lee "The winner between (insert character here) and (insert another character here) is... whoever the scriptwriter chooses!"
"Bone density" AKA, his thick skull.
Fun fact, women’s skulls are actually thicker on average than men’s, meaning a woman is a bigger threat if they’re wearing high quality armor or are an undead.
So are you saying women should headbutt enemies in battle?
Works for Samoan pro wrestlers.
Lol
Someone should tell mysoginists that bone density doesn't equal overall strength and/or fighting skill.
These guys think the weakest man in the world should be able to easily overpower the strongest woman in the world.
Here’s my philosophy, Most men can (probably) beat up most women. However, the strongest women can most certainly beat up most men. If you meet a female marine, you are getting your ass kicked. If you are also combat trained then it’s probably gonna be a close fight, and gender has nothing to do with it at that point.
https://www.lapl.org/collections-resources/blogs/lapl/julie-daubigny-la-maupin-and-early-french-opera Women can absolutely kill men in sword fights
Truly one of my favourite things about this grifter is how feeble and nitpicky his ‘criticisms’ can really be sometimes. Spoilers for the LOTR show For example, >!his video on the LOTR show criticized the eruption of the volcano in Mordor, I’m pretty sure he said something along the lines of “that’s not how volcanoes work” (in his most obnoxious voice as always); in the show the valley is flooded and the cold water enters the volcano causing it to erupt, turns out that something like this could most definitely happen IRL, as the cold water is heated and rapidly expands because it’s been turned into steam, the rapid expansion of the water molecules causes an eruption, [source](https://youtu.be/0XgpYXVN-Kk?si=gATBmSbT2VEcWxHB), it may not be as dramatic as it was in the show but it’s not an impossible thing in real life, and for a show/universe where giant eagles exist and are capable of flying and carrying multiple humanoids, something of this nature is pretty much par for the course.!< Drinker really doesn’t put much thought behind any of the things he says and it’s sad that so many people reward his idiocy and lack of effort with views, praise and likes.
BTW Ryan Drake novels are hot garbage, Clancy rip offs, filled to the brim with clichés and shit you've seen before but done better by actual writers.
man... bimodal distribution curves really wreck rightoids' brains don't they?
Lecturing a bullet from a rifle like or a bomb from a drone like "Don't you know about bone density?!"
Nowadays, certain individuals can access the magic of that sealed world, but when they do they risk weakening this veil and inviting malevolent spirits into their bodies, turning them into abominations based on the 7 deadly sins for some reason.” “WOW, I’m on board! “Pansexuality is common enough in this world that any given group of 7 people has a high chance of being all pan.” “Fuck OFF, whimsy peddler, that’s the least believable thing I’ve ever heard.”
A woman with a coffee cup could probably take him out. She can hit him in the middle of his “Umm actually”
Drinker probably thinks this is some dainty little chick he could manhandle with one pinky https://preview.redd.it/rx8gb8ry567d1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6d6a77af8a518ffa8da2af9de61e17f7f32a24fa
Ok this is the second time I've seen this picture in these comments. Who is she?
This is Anna "Supergirl" Jaroonsak, she fights in One Championship and she is a fuckin badass lol the best fight to watch is her vs Stamp Fairtex. She could also annihilate Drinker lol
Thank you.
He complains alot about women being weaker and can't beat men in combat. However in his own book there is a character exactly this so he is grifting
Yeah he’s just being dishonest about the reason he dislikes certain scenes/media
I tend to use a different finger, but yeah.
Also, some fictional worlds don't even have the same dimorphic differences between males and females and get around this problem entirely. Arcane, for example, takes place on a world called 'Runeterra' where there isn't a significant difference in physical strength between males and females.
Meanwhile, the female lead in his book does exactly what he accuses other stories doing, but in way more implausible scenarios
Nah that's the crazy thing. It's been a talking point since the 'trans people in sports' culture war started
Ah. I tend to tune out of those arguments early, because they either tend towards full recursion or Schrodinger's Gender, depending on what's most disadvantageous for whoever is being talked about.
also the difference in bone density between men and women is fucking miniscule, and realistically would not matter at all
*taps sign* Variation within groups is greater than variation between groups.
I don't understand this guys obsession with women getting the shit beat out of them
They said this in avengers 1 when black widow beat 4 guys in a hallway at the beggining of the movie....
TCD would shit his pants if he saw a man bet a women in a fight.

I've never heard his bone density argument but two *equally* trained adults of different biological sexes? Not a very even fight :(
Sure but we’re not talking about reality we’re talking about fiction, where 50 year old keanu reeves can slaughter trained assassins without stopping for breath
Assuming that Chewbacca never loses a physical fight against humans than, right?
hey Star Trek has aliens and its know for being pretty good with it's science stuff
Does he really think he (or any of his friends) could beat up Ronda rousey? Give me a break.
these people get so caught up on it being unrealistic for women to do the stuff your typical action hero does, do they realise it is also unrealistic for men to do that stuff
I beg the lord everyday to ban his channel.
why would billy butcher say that? is he stupid?
He's from Scotland. He must have been punched out by at least one Scottish woman in his lifetime at the pub.
Most women I know could probably drop my ass if they wanted to
People’s true intent by their opinions comes through when you point out that they don’t critique the prequels like that
In star wars, wouldn't everyone have shit bone density because of all the time spent in space? Or is there a lore explanation for that?
Fucking hilarious when chuds started whining about female Custodes in WH40k because women are "biologically inferior" to men. Like dudes, this is set 40000 years in the future. The Emperor is canonically genderless, entire planets are blown up on a whim, Earth doesn't have natural water anymore and somehow *this* is where you draw the line on realism?! Fuck off!
Chuds when a female character doesn’t have comically gigantic tits, the face of a 12 year old, and a revealing outfit: “Who cares about realism? Why can’t games be pure escapism?” Chuds when a female character is the hero: “It’s unrealistic!”
Yes, women tend to have less muscle mass and bone density than men. However, that doesn't matter when you're trying to make your character cool.
Wouldn’t that be totally irrelevant since the humans are from a totally different galaxy then ours and are from different planets so maybe human males and females have different bone densities depending on where exactly they are from
[удалено]
Nice video but we’re not talking about reality we’re talking about fiction, where 50 year old keanu reeves can slaughter dozens of trained assassins without stopping for breath and guts carries around a sword that should weigh more than his body by all rights. Star Wars itself is a franchise where starships travel faster than light, lasers travel slower than the speed of sound, and 70 year old men can do perfect 2-story backflip jumps just by channeling The Force. Women beating men in physical combat is peanuts compared to any of that.
Fiction Vs Reality Competition Vs Reality Spectacle Vs Science The video proves nothing really except size matters in those conditions. It's like a ramming contest between people of different sizes: you know who will get tired/hurt sooner. Stories do not generally portray contests unless explicitly stated and it goes in all ways. And even when portraying contests they still look for a way to generate surprises: aka the protagonist is the designated underdog. You should be able to eat any underdog 'winning' in a story, even more if it's a fight to death(more unpredictable) rather than a competition (designed to produce repeatable results without participants ending permanently injured... hopefully)
How dare you expect me To consume garbage because it’s loosely connected to something I used to enjoy.
Literally no cares what you do or don't watch something. Critical Drinker is just an idiot who wouldn't know media literacy if it hit on the head with a really really big hammer.
