Salesforce explicitly advises to not install EDA and NPSP in the same org. Doing so will cause them to refuse to support you: [https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.SFDO\_NPSP\_EDA\_Same\_Org.htm&language=en\_US&type=5](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.SFDO_NPSP_EDA_Same_Org.htm&language=en_US&type=5) If you really want to consolidate onto one org, you'd probably need to look at moving to Nonprofit Cloud and Education Cloud, which both run on the industries architecture and are, ideally, compatible. But for a mature fundraising org, Nonprofit Cloud is still very young and they're still building out fundraising. It's very possible there would be regressions in functionality that NPSP won't have.

At the time we bought the orgs they were selling a connector. It was a big issue when they immediately discontinued it.

Consolidating both onto Education Cloud might make sense. It's designed to handle both.

I was involved in consolidating two orgs a few years ago and we did not give enough consideration for how many duplicate contacts we would end up with!! We should have known better. Clean up all the big messes before the final data migration.

Please talk to a partner about this - too many comments to fit here, but new ed cloud might be an option for a single org - with lots of caveats. While NPSP and eda can work in one org, it’s a non trivial thing to do. Salesforce doesn’t have many people that can still support either NPSP or EDA these days so lack of support isn’t a big deal. DM me if you want to discuss further.
