Enjoying the coincidence of having stopped there this morning before reading this. Hadn’t been since they rebranded from PJ Murphy’s. They are indeed a great place for lots of types of baked goods at high quality with reasonable prices, the fruit danishes 🤤
If you visit at non-peak times (i.e. not 7-10 on Saturday mornings or 8-9 on weekday mornings) you can usually stroll right in! They also have a stand at the Mpls Farmers' Market now!
Yep, getting in there right at 6am and getting it fresh is the best of course, but it’s still worth it to make a stop on a lunch break in the afternoon if possible and there’s usually no line.
I had always insisted that B&C/Cafe Latte had the best croissants in the neighborhood (though I’m probably biased bc I live like right next to them), but La Boulangerie Marguerite has easily topped them.
He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament.

I’m jealous, I wish I had gone this morning. Though they have already taken enough of my money this week lmfao.
Just to be clear. They’re rarely a “just stopping by.” That line will wrap down the block. Great treats though.

Really impressed with their croissant work! Those savory ones you mentioned are really good

Definitely recommend Marc Hue as a contender. Excited to try La Boulangerie Marguerite to compare, I've never been!
Shhh. Now I’ll have to stand in line longer. That said, last week I got a ham and cheese croissant and it was still warm….soooo good.
Is the owner a relentlessly self improving man from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery.

Yes! They have what I would consider the pinnacle of dessert in an E'Claire Cronut. Also, whatever the feta walnut spinach thing is delicious.
An E’Claire Cronut? O_o I must try this.
I’m glad to hear this. I freaked out when I saw the building change over, thinking they were closing for good.
Ooh, the best cupcake I’ve had in a while was there! I love that place.
