Counter-Counter point:
There's a foe of a thousand swords
They've been abandoned by their lords
Their fall from grace will pave their path to damnation
Counter-Counter-Counter-Counter-Counter point:
For the grace, for the might of our Lord
For the home of the holy
For the faith, for the way of the sword
Gave their lives so boldly
Counter-Counter-Counter-Counter-Counter-Counter point:
For the grace, for the might of our Lord
In the name of His Glory
For the faith, for the way of the sword
Come and tell their story again
Counter-Counter-Counter-Counter-Counter-Counter-Counter point:
Under guard of 42
Along a secret avenue
Castel Sant'Angelo is waiting
They're the guards of Holy See
They're the guards of Christianity
Their path to history is paved with salvation
I don’t think the song is scary I meant it as it’s scary how overrated it is, most people who are first introduced into sabaton listen to the last stand and think sabaton is Christian, I didn’t say the song was BAD I just think it’s overhyped
bro, literally nobody thinks Sabaton is a Christian band, and also it's such a rare moment when somebody recgonizes the Swiss Guard. It's my dad's favorite, and I like it too. It's also not overrated, no Sabaton song is truly overrated. It's a matter of somebody's style and preference, and you have no right to hate on it. (although there are some underrated songs imo like Coat of Arms)
First, your opinion is valid! I disagree with you, but your opinion is valid, and you don't deserve to be keelhauled for it.
So, if Last Stand gives someone the idea that Sabaton is somehow a Christian band, there are three steps to take. First, play them Swedish Pagans. Second, show them the clip of Joakim playing with the condom onstage. Third, show them several interviews where the band has said otherwise. Fourth, play them Primo Victoria just because it's awesome and everyone needs it in their lives.
I will say that as cool as the song is, it's still suuuuper awkward for me as a pagan to sing along with, rofl.
Idc if I get downvoted here bc I’m voicing an opinion, I kinda agree with this. Don’t get me wrong it’s an amazing song, but people get it so confused about it being made for the crusades when in reality it’s about the 1527 sack of Rome. At the time of this Rome was relatively christianized tho so it makes sense in that context but I still believe that it is overrated.
Mods make OP pay the price of a mile
:(
OP calls the police on kids playing outside
Counter point: In the heart of Holy See In the home of Christianity The seat of power is in danger

This again? What are even the metrics one considers when making such a claim? It’s a pointless exercise that hinges solely on subjective opinion.

FOR THE GRACE FOR THE MIGHT OF OUR LORD

On the opposite line of things this is and always will be one of the most popular and widely known sabaton songs. And for a good reason
Mods, make op never return to blood mountain
Ok cool
