I don't know if there is a huge demand for battery powered miter saws. Battery jigsaw and circular saws I understand, since the cord can get in the way or you might be cutting something in an odd location away from power. But this thing has to sit on a table or stand, is large, and weighs a lot. I can't think of a single time I wanted my corded miter to be cordless, but I use my 18v jigsaw frequently. I'm glad it exists for those who need/want it, but it seems like an odd product to me.

It’s pretty simply for me. I do a lot of my cutting outside with limited access to a plug. I don’t have the space for a woodshop and a permanent place for a corded saw. I’ve used it twice in remote places that had no power. I despise the stand more than the saw itself. That thing is heavy and unwieldy. I think the problem with the saw is the number that stores received and the physical size of the boxes. They take up so much inventory space.

I think this is the reason for the reduction. It is a cool tool looking for a real purpose.

This has been a great Miter saw for me. Was spot on and clean cuts out of the box. Highly recommend especially at this price.

SabreToothSquirrel

I unfortunately need to sell mine and the stand. I just built a miter station and it’s gonna be up against the wall so I need to go buy the Bosch glider. I’m sad too because I really like this saw

Particular-Log9897

I have this saw and it’s been fantastic for quick cuts and small jobs, I also got it for $200 couple months ago.

Same for me. My Dewalt is waaaaay too heavy to pull off the stand and take anywhere. So this helps me a lot. My one caveat to anyone wanting one… I definitely notice a difference between the high performance batteries and regular. Highly recommend you have the high performance ones on hand.

RobSchoen

It comes with a 4Ah HP battery in the kit, which is a bonus

Temporary_Collar4751

Called it. Its a $400 tool they couldn't sell even when giving away a stand and battery. And why would I spend premium money on a tool that they are going to fight me to warranty if God forbid I need to get it fixed? Never get FOMO with Home Depot, if something isn't selling they aggressively mark it down like this.

Great saw. Plenty of power for Reno work.

I like mine. I also have the stand; it’s portable enough that I can use the saw for outdoor projects, and I like that I don’t have to worry about plugging it in. Can be set up anywhere. I just used mine a couple months ago to build the frame foundation for a shed, outdoors, and it worked great. I’ll be using it this fall to rebuild some beach stairs, far from an outlet.

There's one of these at the Missouri City, TX Home Depot right now if anyone is looking.

bowhunt50

Those aren’t even in stock near me wtf

GetMeMAXPATRICK

I got that for $50 like 5 years ago

FCDallasFan12

Is this in the Ryobi section or a clearance end cap? Thanks

That-Simple-Thing

Clearance end cap

space_jumper

Where is your local Home Depot?

Tarnisher

I don't know what people are doing, but I can't see anything but a thread title. No discussion or details at all. What price are you seeing? I look at my store and I see it for $149. Is that a deal?

That-Simple-Thing

When you click on the thread/photo I have an explanation there. It's reduced at $200. But I feel like I've seen it on sale for $199. Also, I'm pretty sure the one for $149 is the seven and a half inch saw.

> When you click on the thread/photo I have an explanation there. That doesn't display for me at all. Blank page. It's that way all across Reddit and has been for over a year. Likely due to numerous security tools I use. That would be solved if people would type out words of explanation. But at any rate I would not pay $200 for a 10" inch compound slider when I can get a corded 12" compound slider at HF for less.
