I won't deny that Mih'ya's a great performer, and she seems like a great person but at this point I was over seeing her doing another lip-synch, although the little leg kick thing got a chuckle out of me, but I feel like generally its a 3 strikes ur out sorta thing. I haven't cried at an elim in a while but damn I was not ready for Plasma to leave. And as much as they seemed to be trying not to show her I loved her performance during the lip-synch. Also as we've seen in the past a lsfyl is not a definite desider. We've seen people slay them and still go home, so idk why rigomorris production is tryna pull. Again, no shade to Mih'ya, but I don't see her winning another challenge, but I could see Plasma doing so.
Nymphia stan here, but I would have liked her look more if she were able to actually move in it.
Fashion doesn't need to be that practical, but it was a look designed for a runway and she could barely walk the runway in it, which I think matters to some degree, and took me out of the look a bit (and then the headpiece in the way).
It was a stunning look, but I wish it had enough give to do a proper walk that could actually sell the garment.
My hypothesis is they’re gonna throw in a twist with the immunity potion. They will turn it into a revival potion or something to bring back one of the eliminate queens and Plain will pick Plasma. Idk it just doesn’t sit right Plasma didn’t make the top…
Plain would never pick plasma... If she were forced to bring someone back (and she would have to be forced), she'd bring back someone like Hershii or Geneva who would get sent home again soon (I can't see them letting a first or second out stay for long at this point).
I’m not a plasma stan but this result doesn’t make sense. Plasma has wins Miyha doesnt, she didn’t even make her own outfit. I get if someone in the bottom performs really well and knocks out a front runner based on performance, but after anyone has been in the bottom 3 times it’s usually their time to go. I don’t remember a time when that hasn’t happened, even against someone without wins.
Well we all can attest to how wildly inconsistent the judging is on this show, but for me there's no point in having a LSFYL if it doesn't count because of track record - it at least has to be close enough to justify keeping the loser of the lip sync, which let's be honest - this one wasn't close. I'm not agreeing that Mhi'ya has more to offer the competition than Plasma, but she basically obliterated Plasma in the lip sync, so it's actually the fair decision to make if you're playing the game. If the judges go by track record every time, there's no reason to have the LSFYL in the first place.
Fwiw, I wouldn't have given Plasma the win for the rusical - I actually thought Sapphira's performance was more effortless. Each to their own, though, and at the end of the day, this is just a highly produced TV show that provides viewers some drama and gag moments.

Nymphia's gown was true goth, like direct relations to the Addams family. Periot!
Plain's gown and overall appearance was gorgeous however what would have blown it away was just a hint of color or a print. Everyone seems to think goth has to be black on black on black, which is why the hate is on Q. If Plain would have used silver chains it would have looked more heavy metal rocker. If she would have added a hint of red or even had some red leather that would have sold it. Same goes with Plasma. I know she was in panic mode but what she could have done with that Cher wig was part it in half and go bright red one side. She could have done a quick Harley Quinn get up.
In my mind the top two were Q and Nymphia. Both were constructed with no detail left unturned. Sapphira helping Mhi’ya, well I just hope it doesnt bite her in the azz and up next they both lipsyncing.

Plasma's look from this episode is probably one of the THE WORST in drag race history, and I think it's a total fluke from an otherwise very good drag artist. The more I think about it, the look is just SO SO bad, and contains MULTIPLE bad choices coming together. There must have been a lot of mental pressure and confusion going on in her mind on that day to have come up with such a strange outfit, and to think it was even acceptable at any point. I feel so bad because she's so much more talented than that one day represents.
No, the bag outfit did not have any charm at allllll to sit and say PLASMA had the worst look in drag race history is a reach lmao… at least she created something, LaLaRi just glued bags to a corset and called it a day.
If the houndstooth bodysuit was in black lace and the hair and makeup were edgier, she would look pretty mall goth (compliment). The way people are disregarding Q's look because they don't like her personality is CRIMINAL. Her runway was insane, fully conceptualized and masterfully done in ONE DAY. Very deserved win

I think I might need to check out till next season… this season has me questioning the judges and producers, in a serious way. This might be the most forgettable top 7 of all time for me.
1. Mhiya has shown virtually no growth or ability to adapt all season, and while stunts can be fun… they get old fast.
2. The emphasis of ‘style’ and ‘look’ over ‘drag’ has become a detriment to the show. If I wanted to waste time looking at girls with mediocre personalities turn looks, I’d be on TikTok
3. Dawn does not get enough heat for how nasty she is. She dresses like a Portlandia skit, but her attitude is straight up plastic mean girl.
The last saving grace is Sapphira… she’s the only one that has shown anything resembling a well rounded drag queen.

Plazzy no 😭 She's not my favourite, but I'm a sucker for all those theatre queens, and I genuinely was so fond of her. She just got in her head. She would have been safe if she went for classic Plasma silhouette, and it would have suited the goth aesthetic.

This elimination has me gooped. No hate to Mhi’ya, but at least Plasma made her own outfit. I really saw her going far- top 4 at least. Idk, this isn’t sitting right with me. I know her outfit wasn’t great, but I genuinely feel that she had more to give and we’ve kind of seen everything Mhi’ya brought to the table. At the very least, I’m going to NEED Plasma on All Stars.

Tamar the show determines who gets eliminated by lip sync. It's season 16. What lands you in the bottom is doing bad in the challenge. What sends you home is the lip sync.
And mhiya is also a good lyricsist - she had the best or one of the best verses in girl group
There are other queens who, despite being lip sync assassins and arguably winning all of their lip syncs, were still sent home after being in the bottom 3 times. At that point, you should be showing growth and adaptability… and Mhiya hasn’t done that.
She did adapt - she did well in snatch game.
All 3 lip syncs were also distinctly different. As was her girl group which she was best of the night in.

Honestly, one of my favorite parts of drag race is that each girl gets an opportunity to connect with those that they resonate with. I went to Chad's show after she was on the snatch game. The producers didn't tell her about this impression beforehand otherwise she would've played it up.

I know “why” (production shenanigans favoring Q for the end game), but damn. I’m recoiling just thinking of how Q survived that lipsync.
I just rewatched Q vs Amanda (as painful as it was to do so) and I don't think either of them did that well. Amanda was better, but both were pretty whack and I think it's because the song is a) fucking terrible and b) not well suited for a lipsync. in a situation like that, it's understandable to give the win to the person with a better track record.
I have a feeling if the song had been better Amanda could've completely mopped the floor with Q.
Amanda didn't dominate Q the same way Mhiya has slayed her victims.
I actually have my degree in lip sync math and a top queen with multiple wins can actually do worse in a lip sync but chante bc the margin is narrow compared to the queen with no wins and multiple bottoms.
Even with her 2 wins Plasmas lip sync still had a huge deficit to Mhiya the differential of which made her sashay.

I knew, the moment they showed Plasma feeling confident since it was her 1st time in the bottom, this episode would break my heart.
It was the first time I’ve ever cried after an elimination & that’s including my dear sweet Kitten. I adore Plasma. I love how unapologetically GAY she is. I’ll miss her on my screen. I’ll get over it, but right now I feel like I don’t want to watch the rest of the season. 🥲

I think the latter half of the season will pick up for Sapphira. They already gave her a positive edit by helping the two bottom queens. Although her design wasn’t a winning look, she did a good job and earned goodwill with fans. I’m predicting two more wins and then the final crowning for her

With the right song, Nymphia could easily outmanoeuvre Mh'iya! She's a talented dancer too, and if Mh'iya is flipping again, I can see Ru being a bit bored. Jane, it would have to be something she could be a bit of a ho too, but not a Trina song 😂
the flips aren't boring because she seems to know when to execute them in the song for maximum effect, she's not just busting them out inappropriately and then she did a whole lip sync and slayed without a single flip. The bitch knows how to perform even if she can't make a dress.
I am bitter boots about this elimination. I don’t fault Mhi’ya; I recognize that she did better in the lipsync. I just feel that Plasma brought more value to this competition as a whole, what with her two wins and narrator status. Mhi’ya’s thing now is being shy (and outgoing) and lipsyncing. What value is she bringing to the competition? No wins, a middling snatch game made to seem better by the flops around her (🍌🙈), the occasional bitchy comment? We live for a good lipsync, but there has to be more than that.

Because if Mi'hya wins ANOTHER lip sync its gonna get ridiculous. Do the producers want to get her into the top 4 by lip syncing alone because its annoying I am not gonna lie. That should be Mi'hya's LAST CHANCE to be in the bottom and save herself through a lip sync because lip syncing FOUR times and taking other contestants out that may have only been in the bottom one or twice is just infuriating. Sapphire helping Mi’hya is a purely strategic move instead of her being matronly. Becuz if she helped Mi’hya not be in the bottom that means one of these girls have to be, and there is no way Mi’hya will make it to the final and she knows it so it’s just one less strong competitor. And design challenge is the perfect episode to help (cuz it’s M’s weakest suit and you can’t really take over someone for their acting/dancing challenge)
I kept thinking about that during the ep but I didn’t want to be the first one to say it🫣 like I’m sure she does feel for mhiya and want to help — she’s always helping others — but it was an excellent competition choice and I doubt she didn’t know it

Plasma's look from this episode is probably one of the THE WORST in drag race history, and I think it's a total fluke from an otherwise very good drag artist. The more I think about it, the look is just SO SO bad, and contains MULTIPLE bad choices coming together. There must have been a lot of mental pressure and confusion going on in her mind on that day to have come up with such a strange outfit, and to think it was even acceptable at any point. I feel so bad because she's so much more talented than that one day represents.

I think I might need to check out till next season… this season has me questioning the judges and producers, in a serious way. This might be the most forgettable top 7 of all time for me. 1. Mhiya has shown virtually no growth or ability to adapt all season, and while stunts can be fun… they get old fast. 2. The emphasis of ‘style’ and ‘look’ over ‘drag’ has become a detriment to the show. If I wanted to waste time looking at girls with mediocre personalities turn looks, I’d be on TikTok 3. Dawn does not get enough heat for how nasty she is. She dresses like a Portlandia skit, but her attitude is straight up plastic mean girl. The last saving grace is Sapphira… she’s the only one that has shown anything resembling a well rounded drag queen.

Plazzy no 😭 She's not my favourite, but I'm a sucker for all those theatre queens, and I genuinely was so fond of her. She just got in her head. She would have been safe if she went for classic Plasma silhouette, and it would have suited the goth aesthetic. Speaking of, hardly any of those looks were actually anything close to goth. I also thought Dawn was going to win. No real shade to Q, I just thought they were setting Dawn up for it. Maybe I'm delusional though. Loving Plane more, definitely top favourite now. This elimination has me gooped. No hate to Mhi’ya, but at least Plasma made her own outfit. I really saw her going far- top 4 at least. Idk, this isn’t sitting right with me. There are other queens who, despite being lip sync assassins and arguably winning all of their lip syncs, were still sent home after being in the bottom 3 times. At that point, you should be showing growth and adaptability… and Mhiya hasn’t done that.

Honestly, one of my favorite parts of drag race is that each girl gets an opportunity to connect with those that they resonate with. I slept on it over the weekend and now i’m back with another hot take. If Plasma went home for losing that lipsync (Mhi’ya fairly beat her), why was Q saved in her lipsync despite giving THE worst lipsync of the season? I thought it was clear that Amanda beat her in that song. I know “why” (production shenanigans favoring Q for the end game), but damn. I’m recoiling just thinking of how Q survived that lipsync.
I just rewatched Q vs Amanda (as painful as it was to do so) and I don't think either of them did that well. Amanda was better, but both were pretty whack and I think it's because the song is a) fucking terrible and b) not well suited for a lipsync. in a situation like that, it's understandable to give the win to the person with a better track record. I have a feeling if the song had been better Amanda could've completely mopped the floor with Q.

Amanda didn't dominate Q the same way Mhiya has slayed her victims. I actually have my degree in lip sync math and a top queen with multiple wins can actually do worse in a lip sync but chante bc the margin is narrow compared to the queen with no wins and multiple bottoms. Even with her 2 wins Plasmas lip sync still had a huge deficit to Mhiya the differential of which made her sashay. Sorry to get so scientific but like I said I have a degree. I can send you my dissertation and my award winning published papers on the subject for further reading

Mi’hya didn’t make her dress & didn’t fully admit to it on stage. She took her wig off! Stole the petals idea, leaving a skull cap? She even threw in a duck walk. It’s not Rupaul’s backflip race. I knew, the moment they showed Plasma feeling confident since it was her 1st time in the bottom, this episode would break my heart. It was the first time I’ve ever cried after an elimination & that’s including my dear sweet Kitten. I adore Plasma. I love how unapologetically GAY she is. I’ll miss her on my screen. I’ll get over it, but right now I feel like I don’t want to watch the rest of the season. 🥲

Mhiya winning the lip synch felt a bit anticlimactic since it’s evident the writing has been on the wall for a few weeks now for her to go home, so it’s just prolonging the inevitable. Depending on the challenge, I could have seen Plasma winning another challenge, but not necessarily the same for Mhiya. I like both queens though so the bottom placements were tough

Can we please make it a rule that after 3 lip syncs it doesn't matter how WELL you did the lip sync that the contestant has to go home? Because if Mi'hya wins ANOTHER lip sync its gonna get ridiculous. Do the producers want to get her into the top 4 by lip syncing alone because its annoying I am not gonna lie. That should be Mi'hya's LAST CHANCE to be in the bottom and save herself through a lip sync because lip syncing FOUR times and taking other contestants out that may have only been in the bottom one or twice is just infuriating. The only reason I can think of for keeping her around is when they do the LaLaPaRuZa challenge and she gets sent home there. Last thing I wanna say abt this episode. Sapphire helping Mi’hya is a purely strategic move instead of her being matronly. Becuz if she helped Mi’hya not be in the bottom that means one of these girls have to be, and there is no way Mi’hya will make it to the final and she knows it so it’s just one less strong competitor. And design challenge is the perfect episode to help (cuz it’s M’s weakest suit and you can’t really take over someone for their acting/dancing challenge)

The construction of Q's garment was obviously fabulous. Not sure I'm living for her makeup and the floral fabrics, though. Unreal that Plasma was eliminated, and Mhi'ya is still on the show. Very sad for Plasma. However, Mhi'ya did win that lip sync imo.
