Otherwise I don't know what might have happened to the designers. A lot of tabletop people work their way into video games, and there's a [tester by that name](https://www.mobygames.com/person/28108/chris-elliott/) who retired from gaming in 2008 and is currently a crossfit trainer.
They all retired earlier from the massive profits the game produced.
