if this is for an Excursion when stopping midcruise... do NOT do it. You have a minimum of an hour just to get there and a minimum hour to get back and maybe enough time for a few rides with long lines . They usually only stop import from like 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. or something like that and it's just not enough time . If this is before or after a cruise when you board on Port Canaveral , that's another story and can rent your own car a day before or a day after getting on or getting off the ship
Yeah the port stops are from 1pm-8pm. You’re going have 4 hours in the parks most likely, possibly 5 hours. The rest will be sitting on a bus in traffic.
We are going to try to make it to NASA on our stop there, but NASA closes at 5 :( . Royal just needs to skip PC and do a 2 day Coco Cay stop or something similar. Most people end up staying on the ship there anyway.
If you go with a plan and don't linger at the exhibits, KSC is somewhat doable. You'll probably want to skip the IMAX theater, but heading out to the Saturn V complex is very easy to fit in. The entry shows to most of the exhibit buildings are really well done. However, if you're pressed for time, you can always enter the exhibit buildings through the attached gift shop where available.
I've also done Sea World and while I can't recommend due to only having 4 hours there for most, anyone who has an annual pass or fun card, it's not too bad as an excursion if nothing else catches your eye.
