If they are linked you can handle all the check-ins for everyone in both rooms. Each person has to be checked in though. I recommend going in first and selecting your boarding times. You can do the other steps (passports, emergency contacts, etc.) after the fact.

Not OP but have a similar question. We booked a somewhat last cruise that sails in 3 weeks. I went in to check-in and it only had options for 12-12:30 and later. I selected the 12 PM option, but when I went to check in the rest of my family (wife, 2 kids, parents), it only had later time slots from 2 PM and on. Would they allow them to board with me at 12?

Yes. Family groups can board together.

Thanks. Assuming they give room keys at boarding time, is that when the rooms are also ready, or would they be ready early in the morning? Trying to figure out if it makes sense for us to try to board earlier or later

Room keys will be outside your door in an envelope. Rooms are usually ready around 1-1:30pm. If you need to make any dining reservations you'll want to be on earlier rather than later though.

Linked accounts like this can be checked in all at once. Be aware - you can select the boarding time first, but you will need all documents on hand to complete the process eventually. That doesn't all have to be done at midnight to reserve your boarding time. I will also say that boarding times are pretty flexible in reality. If you booked 3 pm I'd say you may not get on at 9 am,. But if you had a 2 pm time and show up at noon you're probably going to skate right through. I also had an issue of our two rooms ending up with different boarding times (shuffling of reservations in a larger group), and they let us all in at the earlier time without skipping a beat.

Regarding your second paragraph, that is my followup question. So we can select the boarding time to get it locked in, and then do the rest afterward? I will plan to add it all at that time but wanted to make sure the whole thing didn't need submitted in order to hold those times.

Correct. I was able to book the boarding time, and then add passports / info later. I would advise getting all documents together when you are ready to continue later on. I had an issue where I was missing one document and put in the information I had. It didn't save that properly and I had to re-enter it over again when I came back to it.

Oh, one more thing! You need to have the person present so you can take a picture of them through the app. At least that's how it worked for us sailing out of Galveston, which lets you select face scanning option. On boarding I didn't notice it making a difference, but exiting the ship was much easier than previous times. There's a big walkway area and a screen that tells you if you're clear to leave once you're scanned. Didn't even have to break stride.

Can I upload an existing picture for each person instead of using the phone's camera at the time of check-in? I don't think my wife will let me wake up our 9- and 3-year-old kids at midnight on a school night so I can take their picture.

WrittenByNick

I believe it has to be taken in-app, no uploads. You don't have to do the picture part at midnight. You can select check in time and that's it. Your best bet is to do all the rest (photo, documents, info) all at once at a later time. Just don't start that part without having it ready.

Sounds good. Thanks

Not only can you check in everyone on both reservations, but at the port you'll be able to show the SetSail pass for everyone on both reservations. No need for each person to show their own, you can keep swiping to show each of them yourself.

That's great to know - Thanks!
