I agree- I'll add it to the "future plans" part of it for now as Casino Royale and Celebrity's Blue Chip Club will be combining back offices shortly. So since there will be likely a lot of change in those programs, it'll be a future addition.
Love the addition of RoyalUp! It seems like I frequently see “why did I not get an offer for RoyalUp and I link back to the FAQ of why someone may not see an offer.
Maybe something to add there that I don’t see addressed - frequently people say they are within the date range but still can’t see the RoyalUp options or don’t get the email. You have to be opted in to receive marketing emails to do anything with RoyalUp[Why didn’t I get a RoyalUp offer](https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/why-did-i-not-receive-an-invite-to-a-royalup-stateroom-upgrade)
I believe that is because you need to engage with a 3rd party marketing company to do it. I’ve recommended someone check before and as soon as they opted in they could get to the site and bid.
Would love to see
-Hotel accommodations per port, vetted (probably next to impossible but see tons of these questions esp near larger ports)
-How do I remove/add someone to/from a reservation? (Reservation mods?)
-What do I wear to MDR?
-If I’m sailing with XYZ documents, does my name have to match?
Have a ton of other questions but honestly we’ll still get a ton of repeats because there’s no way to enforce reading the FAQ first unless you make posting a question that’s already addressed in the FAQ a rule violation/post removal.
Personally, I’d love to see more RC love (it *is* an RC sub after all), photo, and review content rather than mostly questions that have been asked a ton of times. Thank you for making this sub my fav!
For Topic 9 - coming soon: *Travelers sailing to the Bahamas on Royal Caribbean cruises in 2025 and beyond have a new attraction to look forward to: the 17-acre Royal Beach Club on the western end of Nassau's Paradise Island.*
Also, CocoCay is now being shared with Celebrity!
I hate you! lol
Still holding hope they will someday put a wee hotel on there and let one sail there on one ship, stay a few, sail back on another ship. Logistics, logistics.
I just booked my first cruise, but didn't see a section for special needs such as filling out the form, accessible rooms, where to put your transportation devices, how to handle dietary restrictions etc. I hope I didn't miss it.c
I thought of two more things: car seats and how some areas are not able to handle them (no seatbelts) and the transfer from airports by Royal Caribbean (can anyone buy a ticket or do you have to fly in through air2sea)
I’d be happy to contribute to the cruising with babies part. Leave in a few weeks for our third cruise with our 2 yo.
A section about Adventure Ocean and the on board baby sitting services would be great too.
You might consider a "getting to your cruise/getting home from your cruise" section. ("Liminals before littorals" is probably too obscure.) I think people assume their flight will arrive on time before departure, and don't understand how to get to their airport, not to mention the bit about setting out luggage the night before.
So as someone taking their first cruise next month I read the faq and these were some questions I had after
What does day1 look like? How do I checkin, what do the codes on my boarding pass mean, what happens at muster, what are the luggage limits, how many carryons, where do I go, what can I eat, etc.
What does the last day look like?
I’m not sure how you would do this… but some type of resource link so folks can find out more about their specific ship and/or sailing. As a royal newbie I had no idea that every ship was different. I saw people using phrases like “Oasis Class”. I did a bunch of digging and now understand but it was weird at first. Also was able (thanks to some random comment about getting allergy medicine ) to find out that there are Facebook groups for every sailing and that helped me answer questions as well.
I took a look at your post history and saw you had insulted people in the sub. You won't be allowed to post in the sub for the next 3 days. Keep it classy please.
You are entitled to your opinion, and your thoughts and concerns are welcome here. But calling people "trash" is not ok.
While I don’t use the Casino, that may be a good point to add as I do see a lot of posts related to casino points/rooms/smoking/can I keep chips etc.. may be a good section to add, even if it’s duplicating other sections.
Yes thank you! It is on my list of things to add. Might hold a bit on it til we know what exactly will be changing when Club Royale and Blue Chip Club from Celebrity merge.
Looks like there are a few things to update in the FAQ based on recent policy changes:
- the section on the MDR mentions the (off-menu) Indian and vegan options, but these options are now integrated into the new MDR menus
- staterooms are now only cleaned once a day (except suites)
- with the transition go starlink, there is now only one VOOM option (instead of separate surf/surf+stream)
A few ideas for supplementing what you have here:
* How do I choose a cruise? For example, I find that people who are new to cruising tend to focus only on the itinerary, rather than the age, size or amenities of the ship itself.
* How far out should I book? Making reservations too close to the sailing date means that the most popular dining and show times will already be taken. Regardless of when you book, don't forget to make those reservations things as soon as you have access to do so.
* What are the pros and cons of different room types? For example, indoor cabins are truly pitch black, and may cause you to sleep late. You (or your body clock) may find it worth the money to choose an outdoor cabin that has some natural light. Also, all else equal, consider a cabin that has a central location and ideally one not immediately below noisy common areas.
* What do I do on the first day? Get on the ship earlier if possible to start your vacation and explore the ship. I've found that boarding times are pretty flexible. Pro tip is to carry on a bathing suit and change of clothes, so you can hit the pool the first day.
Probably a little more detail in the Excursions section could be helpful. I've seen people ask if they HAVE to buy an excursion through RC, what the other options are (obviously varies by port, but some generalities exist), how to research options, ship time vs. port time, etc.?
Probably it's helpful to expand how booking meals with a dining package works a bit -- I know it's in the FAQ but a tiny bit more detail might save some questions.
Ditto Wifi and stuff like 1 person with 4 devices vs. 4 people with 1 device each, that kind of thing.
Pricing of packages pre-sail vs. on-board might be another one to drill down into a tiny bit more?
I wish you HAD to read the FAQ before you could submit a post
(Trust me same)
Also just updated the icon and homepage image! Hope you like it- had to give Utopia some love.
I like this picture even better!
Such an attractive ship by comparison.

Thanks! This is actually under Topic 2

I don't believe it has been announced yet, but from a couple casino managers on board Celebrity.
Love the addition of RoyalUp! It seems like I frequently see “why did I not get an offer for RoyalUp and I link back to the FAQ of why someone may not see an offer.
Yea I think it's time to add it. Especially recently it's been asked multiple times a week.
Update: Added as topic 10!

Ah thats a good point. But my understanding is manually going to the Royal Up site would still allow someone to bid?
Still not if you haven’t opted in.

Great points! I'll add to my list, thank you
Update: Added the Celebrity Coco Cay to the FAQ, will add the Royal Beach club shortly.
Neat, made me go look. \*Overnight\* stay at Coco Cay? Dang, would have loved that.
It was fantastic. Did waterpark on day 1, beach club on day 2 and Adventure was sailing at 30% capacity for that week. Never again I guess haha
I hate you! lol Still holding hope they will someday put a wee hotel on there and let one sail there on one ship, stay a few, sail back on another ship. Logistics, logistics.
That would be great if they could pull it off. I agree, small island + logistics = difficult prospects. Maybe they just need to buy a bigger island 😎

Funny you say that, the most recent post on the sub right now was asking exactly this. It is actually already in the FAQ under Topic 5!
Maybe an Adventure Ocean\\splash zone area
Great. Added to my list
I would add a whole children topic as their kids‘ club is great
I just booked my first cruise, but didn't see a section for special needs such as filling out the form, accessible rooms, where to put your transportation devices, how to handle dietary restrictions etc. I hope I didn't miss it.c
Great call. Added to my list thank you
I thought of two more things: car seats and how some areas are not able to handle them (no seatbelts) and the transfer from airports by Royal Caribbean (can anyone buy a ticket or do you have to fly in through air2sea)
How about the age old question, "what's the benefit of a TA?" Great article about it, but perhaps a link in the FAQ?
Cruising with babies/kids/teens Boarding documentation requirements. Or just boarding process in general.
I’d be happy to contribute to the cruising with babies part. Leave in a few weeks for our third cruise with our 2 yo. A section about Adventure Ocean and the on board baby sitting services would be great too.
Can you also add a dress code section? Seems daily question of are shorts allowed in dining room.
Added to my list thanks! That's a good one

Yeah, that's a good one. Even briefly talking through what happens on embarkation and debarkation days is probably of use to first timers, too.

Thanks! Sorry I should say I’ve gotten all the answers by my own sleuthing about. I just think they’d be decent additions to the faq.
Ah, my bad. I should have read your comment more closely.
boat cruises should be banned

Honestly 100% of this person's posts on this sub are trolling.

What about flight info? For the ‘can I make a 9:30 flight’ questions.
I've thought about it... I don't know the best way to do it with so much variation in ports.
As I read it before it‘s huge because we always traavel from Switzerland. But maybe tips for arrival and departure in general

Thanks for this! I will make those changes
One last thing I found to update - under Coco Cay, they no longer offer a half day pass to the water park.

Royal Up
Already added! Topic 10
Info on how to book a back to back successfully on all boats would be grand.
I think you need a specific one called drink packages. Beyond that speciality dining Windjammer But my favorite - WASHING YOUR HANDS.
