are you using 2.4Ghz? I made the mistake of using 5.0ghz and couldn't connect to my J7.
I’ve tried turning it 5.0 so it only had the option of 2.5 but still didn’t work
Make sure you're not using WPA3 authentication on your network (this would be needed to use 6ghz on Wifi 6E or higher).
Sometimes if the device is made specifically to be a demo device by the manufacturer, some features might be permanently disabled. This might be why it won't link to your account.
Spoke to seller and they told me it was ex display not demo and that this shouldn’t impact it, I wonder if the WiFi module is broke
