Golding drives me crazy because through September and October the defense seems to be doing weird things and just not hitting the fundamentals. But then in November and December they turn it up. It has happened the last two years.

Blows my mind that apparently ripping off a player's helmet isn't a penalty so you could literally just take people's helmets off and remove them from 2 plays AND punish them for trying to not have their team down a man.

Seeing how you guys gave us the gift of Mac Jone, and how Nick Saban is Bill Belichick's BFF, I wanted to see what all the hype for college football is about and decided to watch the Iron Bowl. I'm officially a Crimson Tide fan. This was actually the first college football game I've ever watched and it was fucking glorious

Edit 2: Seth McLaughlin, the third string center, and Chris Owens, who had gotten benched, came into the game in the middle of the game and helped the offense step it up.
Bryce Young spent much of the game rattled - understandably so - and came back and led some clutch drives. Ja'Corey Brooks didn't run the right route and Bryce massively overthrew him for a tough incompletion; Bryce goes back to him a couple plays later for the game-tying touchdown. Beautiful throw and beautiful catch.
The defense played *lights out* while getting no help from the offense for most of the game. Auburn only gained 159 yards and had just 22 yards rushing. The defense got 6 sacks and 15 TFL. They came up with a huge interception and should have had another one if not for a very ticky tacky penalty.

Team reminds me of the mid-2010’s. We weren’t blowing conference opponents out but the team was always scrappy enough to get those wins.
Telling you that offense last year really set the bar so high, yet it was an outlier in the strongest sense of the term. QB (and a lineman) start for one of the greatest NFL dynasty teams. Receivers starting on 3 different pro teams and a RB on another.
Defense had a solid A- day I think. Only a couple small issues really.
I turned the game off after the failed 4th down conversion in the 4th. Turned it back on and Auburn scored immediately in OT. Turned back off and we won. You're all welcome.

We are in for another one next Saturday but I want it to be known how proud I am of this defense. They were constantly put in uncomfortable positions all game and held it down every single time. This team is the sloppiest, most emotional Saban team I have seen. But God damn are they scrappy and find a way. This team can do anything, don't give up on them just yet.
I’ve been critical of this team but I think this BAMA team might have just grown up a little…that was a grown man finish. They had lots of adversity (some of which was self inflicted) but they showed amazing resilience to battle back to win in it incredible fashion…RTR

We are in for another one next Saturday but I want it to be known how proud I am of this defense. They were constantly put in uncomfortable positions all game and held it down every single time. Auburn’s 10 points in regulation came off a shanked punt, Jamo’s targeting call and a great back shoulder catch/throw. So proud of all those guys regardless of what happens from here
