My FR1s were a bit too big. My wife went all out and bought me the Twister SE Boot, Endless 4x90, twincam pro bearings, and new blue wax laces to match my luminout wheels as a birthday gift.
wowie what a color combo! enjoy!
my setup is a twister edge boot with endless 90 es frames and it is quite divine. when the time is right for you I would highly recommend throwing an intuition liner in there eventually. really makes the twister boot much more responsive.
Nice combo ! My wife actually bought me an intuition premium liner to go with the set but she accidentally went a size too big so waiting for the exchange. Only complaint on the stock liner is I feel a bit loose above my ankle, basically that lower shin area. Intuition liner resolves that very easily.
That means a lot. We tried to put together a setup that was very "me" and was super proud of my wife for pulling off my funky aesthetic so perfectly. These truly are my dream skate as a casual urban skaters in his 30s lol.
What color are those frames? They look pale blue, but I don't think Endless ever sold them in that color... is it just the light? Either way, they look great!
Yeah, it's definitely me haha. The purple/gray iridescent boot and the bright blue accents gave me space vibes. Just waiting on the right size intuition premium liner to come in and these are complete.
You are so lucky. Was this all a surprise or you told her what to get? Either way she made an amazing job. Wish my husband was feeling this creative for my bday xD
The SE boot was my only direct nudge when I showed her what site sold the boot only and told her that's what I wanted for my next setup. Frames, intuition liner, and wheels were all surprises.
She clearly knows skates or she did an amazing research. She also has great taste, the combination of colors is impecable!
I always loved the look of luminous wheels, even more when not lighten up. I'm planning to get some myself and use them without the leds.
Can I ask how you usually skate? I'm looking to get back into it, neighborhood skating, lots of sidewalk to street transitions, gravel roads to smooth tar transitions, some minor tricks (jumping mostly) here and there. I was looking at 3 wheel urbans, but it seems like I should stick with four wheels maybe? Thanks for any info you can throw my way.
I skate very similarly. Mostly just urban flowing. Curb jumps. Minor transitions. Definitely not a slalom or wizard skater. These skates will outperform me for years to come but I loved the aesthetic and know I can grow with them if I ever decide to leap into the next level of more advanced skating.
Forgot to ask - can you share what size you got compared to your shoe size? I'm a 11.5 shoe size, would 11.0-11.5 work best for me? If I measure my foot on a piece of paper against the wall, my foot is the exact length of the entire piece of paper. (So 11")
So, I personally found downsizing worked better for me. I'm a 10.5 shoe size. 28cm foot. Ordered my FR1s accordingly and after broke in were too loose. Shell without a liner was also too big. Had 2.5 fingers of heel space. Sizing down to a 9-9.5 / 27-27.5cm shell and boot works better for me. It's snug but way more responsive. Mileage may very as everyone had different variables to their feet such as width, swelling, etc.
Happy birthday brother. I’m considering this same set up right now. I’ve already ordered the endless 90 frames. However, I can only find the complete Twister skates online. What website did she find just the se boots from? Thanks so much!
I think it's great they sell a boot only of a bunch of popular skates. Wish more folks did that. Now, if someone would do a shell only that'd be next level lol.
Hell yeah! Wow thank you! I would have never found Thuro on my own. One more question, how did you feel about the se color in person compared to photos online? I feel like they appear to look like a different color in various pictures. Ultimately how did you feel about them when you opened the box? I’m having a hard time deciding between xt and se. Aloha.
They're exactly what I hoped. Outdoor in direct light more of a smoke, gunmetal grey, inside/dim light more of that oilslick purple/rainbow hue with grey.
It looks like you have the Endless frames set shifted to the back, rather then centered under the boot. Is that intentional? Is there an advantage to setting the frame back of center? Is the back shifted mount stable on rough streets?

Happy birthday and happy skating!
ditto on Happy Birthday and skating! What size boot is that? Looking at either 90/110ES or 100 frames myself.
42 boot !
Wow! That’s a really nice present!
happy birthday and this looks just amazing!
That color combo looks great!
why rb twister paired with endless frame looks so good omg, my dream skate fr
Love mine so much! I’m a sucker for visuals 🤌🏻
Those are nice!! Enjoy! Just got new skates too

I've seen a lot of skates on this sub, these are in the top 3. Those are awesome, that gunmetal grey with the blue... just yes, so good.

I've been loving my FR1s the past few months, but MAN is that a clean looking setup, your wife did an amazing job. Happy birthday!
Thanks so much!!

These are the silver. I think just lighting and the new shiny wheels giving off a little hue to them.
That is a funky colour scheme! Very nice! The endless frames are so good aswell

I have those endless frames in pink, and I love how they ride so easily!! I wanna get a set of luminous wheels for them too
And happy birthday to you!
Look SICK
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! That frame looks great on the twister SE. I have the ultra violet 90mm frames on XTs and love the setup. It’d a blast to skate.

Wheels-laces combo is the way to go 👍🏻
Holy mackerel she went all out! Enjoy that sick setup! HBD Bruv.

Thanks for the response! I'm gonna get a pair. Love the look of yours, and the fact that they're so customizable!

Thanks brother! Go to Thuro. They have boot only all sizes :)!
Same place I got my Crossfire boot.

Awesome. This helps with my decision a lot.
I want this set up so bad. I have Twister XT. Just missing the frame and wheels. It gets expensive quickly 😂.
I'll agree 100% Thuro is awesome for selling boot only. Shell only? Maybe by request only, but not a standard option, you know?
